“O you children of Benjamin, Gather yourselves to flee from the midst of Jerusalem! Blow the trumpet in Tekoa, And set up a signal-fire in Beth Haccerem; For disaster appears out of the north, And great destruction.

Беги́те, де́ти Вениами́новы, из среды́ Иерусали́ма, и в Феко́е труби́те трубо́ю, и да́йте знать огнём в Бефкаре́ме, и́бо от се́вера появля́ется беда́ и вели́кая ги́бель.

I have likened the daughter of Zion To a lovely and delicate woman.

Разорю́ Я дочь Сио́на, краси́вую и изне́женную.

The shepherds with their flocks shall come to her. They shall pitch their tents against her all around. Each one shall pasture in his own place.”

Пастухи́ со свои́ми стада́ми приду́т к ней, раски́нут пала́тки вокру́г неё; ка́ждый бу́дет пасти́ свой уча́сток.

“Prepare war against her; Arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe to us, for the day goes away, For the shadows of the evening are lengthening.

Приготовля́йте про́тив неё войну́; встава́йте, и пойдём в по́лдень. Го́ре нам! день уже́ склоня́ется, распростира́ются вече́рние те́ни.

Arise, and let us go by night, And let us destroy her palaces.”

Встава́йте, пойдём и но́чью, и разори́м черто́ги её!

For thus has the Lord of hosts said: “Cut down trees, And build a mound against Jerusalem. This is the city to be punished. She is full of oppression in her midst.

И́бо так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф: руби́те дерева́ и де́лайте на́сыпь про́тив Иерусали́ма: э́тот го́род до́лжен быть нака́зан; в нём вся́кое угнете́ние.

As a fountain [a]wells up with water, So she wells up with her wickedness. Violence and plundering are heard in her. Before Me continually are [b]grief and wounds.

Как исто́чник изверга́ет из себя́ во́ду, так он источа́ет из себя́ зло: в нём слы́шно наси́лие и граби́тельство, пред лицо́м Мои́м всегда́ оби́ды и ра́ны.

Be instructed, O Jerusalem, Lest My soul depart from you; Lest I make you desolate, A land not inhabited.”

Вразуми́сь, Иерусали́м, что́бы душа́ Моя́ не удали́лась от тебя́, чтоб Я не сде́лал тебя́ пусты́нею, землёю необита́емою.

Thus says the Lord of hosts: “They shall thoroughly glean as a vine the remnant of Israel; As a grape-gatherer, put your hand back into the branches.”

Так говори́т Госпо́дь Савао́ф: до конца́ доберу́т оста́ток Изра́иля, как виногра́д; рабо́тай руко́ю твое́ю, как обира́тель виногра́да, наполня́я корзи́ны.

To whom shall I speak and give warning, That they may hear? Indeed their ear is uncircumcised, And they cannot give heed. Behold, the word of the Lord is a reproach to them; They have no delight in it.

К кому́ мне говори́ть и кого́ увещева́ть, что́бы слу́шали? Вот, у́хо у них необре́занное, и они́ не мо́гут слу́шать; вот, сло́во Госпо́дне у них в посмея́нии; оно́ неприя́тно им.

Therefore I am full of the fury of the Lord. I am weary of holding it in. “I will pour it out on the children outside, And on the assembly of young men together; For even the husband shall be taken with the wife, The aged with him who is full of days.

Поэ́тому я преиспо́лнен я́ростью Госпо́днею, не могу́ держа́ть её в себе́; изолью́ её на дете́й на у́лице и на собра́ние ю́ношей; взя́ты бу́дут муж с жено́ю, пожило́й с отжи́вшим лета́.

And their houses shall be turned over to others, Fields and wives together; For I will stretch out My hand Against the inhabitants of the land,” says the Lord.

И домы́ их перейду́т к други́м, ра́вно поля́ и жёны; потому́ что Я простру́ ру́ку Мою́ на обита́телей сей земли́, говори́т Госпо́дь.

“Because from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is given to covetousness; And from the prophet even to the priest, Everyone deals falsely.

И́бо от ма́лого до большо́го, — ка́ждый из них пре́дан коры́сти, и от проро́ка до свяще́нника — все де́йствуют лжи́во;

They have also healed the [c]hurt of My people [d]slightly, Saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ When there is no peace.

врачу́ют ра́ны наро́да Моего́ легкомы́сленно, говоря́: «мир! мир!», а ми́ра нет.

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No! They were not at all ashamed; Nor did they know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; At the time I punish them, They shall be cast down,” says the Lord.

Стыдя́тся ли они́, де́лая ме́рзости? нет, ниско́лько не стыдя́тся и не красне́ют. За то паду́т ме́жду па́дшими и во вре́мя посеще́ния Моего́ бу́дут пове́ржены, говори́т Госпо́дь.

Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

Так говори́т Госпо́дь: останови́тесь на путя́х ва́ших, и рассмотри́те, и расспроси́те о путя́х дре́вних, где путь до́брый, и иди́те по нему́, и найдёте поко́й ду́шам ва́шим. Но они́ сказа́ли: «не пойдём».

Also, I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We will not listen.’

И поста́вил Я стра́жей над ва́ми, сказа́в: «слу́шайте зву́ка трубы́». Но они́ сказа́ли: «не бу́дем слу́шать».

Therefore hear, you nations, And know, O congregation, what is among them.

Ита́к, слу́шайте, наро́ды, и знай, собра́ние, что с ни́ми бу́дет.

Hear, O earth! Behold, I will certainly bring calamity on this people — The fruit of their thoughts, Because they have not heeded My words Nor My law, but rejected it.

Слу́шай, земля́: вот, Я приведу́ на наро́д сей па́губу, плод по́мыслов их; и́бо они́ слов Мои́х не слу́шали и зако́н Мой отве́ргли.

For what purpose to Me Comes frankincense from Sheba, And sweet cane from a far country? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable, Nor your sacrifices sweet to Me.”

Для чего́ Мне ла́дан, кото́рый идёт из Са́вы, и благово́нный тростни́к из да́льней страны́? Всесожже́ния ва́ши неуго́дны и же́ртвы ва́ши неприя́тны Мне.

Therefore thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will lay stumbling blocks before this people, And the fathers and the sons together shall fall on them. The neighbor and his friend shall perish.”

Посему́ так говори́т Госпо́дь: вот, Я полага́ю пред наро́дом сим преткнове́ния, и преткну́тся о них отцы́ и де́ти вме́сте, сосе́д и друг его́, и поги́бнут.

Thus says the Lord: “Behold, a people comes from the north country, And a great nation will be raised from the farthest parts of the earth.

Так говори́т Госпо́дь: вот, идёт наро́д от страны́ се́верной, и наро́д вели́кий поднима́ется от краёв земли́;

They will lay hold on bow and spear; They are cruel and have no mercy; Their voice roars like the sea; And they ride on horses, As men of war set in array against you, O daughter of Zion.”

де́ржат в рука́х лук и копьё; они́ жесто́ки и немилосе́рдны, го́лос их шуми́т, как мо́ре, и несу́тся на коня́х, вы́строены, как оди́н челове́к, что́бы срази́ться с тобо́ю, дочь Сио́на.

We have heard the report of it; Our hands grow feeble. Anguish has taken hold of us, Pain as of a woman in [e]labor.

Мы услы́шали весть о них, и ру́ки у нас опусти́лись, скорбь объя́ла нас, му́ки, как же́нщину в ро́дах.

Do not go out into the field, Nor walk by the way. Because of the sword of the enemy, Fear is on every side.

Не выходи́те в по́ле и не ходи́те по доро́ге, и́бо меч неприя́телей, у́жас со всех сторо́н.

O daughter of my people, Dress in sackcloth And roll about in ashes! Make mourning as for an only son, most bitter lamentation; For the plunderer will suddenly come upon us.

Дочь наро́да моего́! опоя́шь себя́ вре́тищем и посы́пь себя́ пе́плом; сокруша́йся, как бы о сме́рти еди́нственного сы́на, го́рько плачь; и́бо внеза́пно придёт на нас губи́тель.

“I have set you as an assayer and a fortress among My people, That you may know and test their way.

Ба́шнею поста́вил Я тебя́ среди́ наро́да Моего́, столпо́м, что́бы ты знал и следи́л путь их.

They are all stubborn rebels, walking as slanderers. They are bronze and iron, They are all corrupters;

Все они́ — упо́рные отсту́пники, живу́т клевето́ю; э́то медь и желе́зо, все они́ разврати́тели.

The bellows blow fiercely, The lead is consumed by the fire; The smelter refines in vain, For the wicked are not drawn off.

Раздува́льный мех обгоре́л, свине́ц истле́л от огня́: плави́льщик пла́вил напра́сно, и́бо злы́е не отдели́лись;

People will call them rejected silver, Because the Lord has rejected them.”

отве́рженным серебро́м назову́т их, и́бо Госпо́дь отве́рг их.
