Дык якая перавага ў жыда́, ці якая карысьць ад абразаньня?

Then what’s the advantage of being a Jew? Is there any value in the ceremony of circumcision?

Вялікая ўва ўсіх адносінах; і найперш (перавага) у тым, што ім давераны словы Бога.

Yes, there are great benefits! First of all, the Jews were entrusted with the whole revelation of God.a

Дык што, калі нікаторыя (зь іх) былі нявернымі? Няўжо іхная нявернасьць зьнішчыць вернасьць Бога?

True, some of them were unfaithful; but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful?

Няхай ня станецца (такога)! Бог ёсьць верны, а ўсякі чалавек (няўдзячны і някаюшчыйся) ёсьць ілгун, як напíсана: так каб патрабаваньні слоў Тваіх былі прызнаны (нават і няўдзячным і някаюшчымся чалавекам) правымі, і (каб Ты) перамог у судзе Тваім.

Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him, “You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court.”b

Калі ж няправеднасьць нашая чыніць моцнай праведнасьць Бога, дык што скажам? Няўжо нясправядлівы Бог, Які праяўляе гнеў (да няўдзячнага і някаюшчагася чалавека)? Кажу як чалавек.

“But,” some might say, “our sinfulness serves a good purpose, for it helps people see how righteous God is. Isn’t it unfair, then, for him to punish us?” (This is merely a human point of view.)

Хай ня станецца (такога)! Інакш, якім чынам будзе судзіць Бог гэты (няўдзячны і някаюшчыйся) сьвет?

Of course not! If God were not entirely fair, how would he be qualified to judge the world?

Бо калі вернасьць Бога ўзвышаецца ў славу Ягоную маёй нявернасьцю, чаму я ўсё яшчэ судзімы, як грэшнік? (бо ня суджу сябе сам. 1Кар. 11:31).

“But,” someone might still argue, “how can God condemn me as a sinner if my dishonesty highlights his truthfulness and brings him more glory?”

(А чаму бы) і ня (судзіць)? — як нікаторыя абмаўляюць нас і кажуць, (быццам) мы гаворым так: рабіце ліхое, каб прыйшло добрае — на такіх (паклёпнікаў) ёсьць справядлівы суд.

And some people even slander us by claiming that we say, “The more we sin, the better it is!” Those who say such things deserve to be condemned.

Дык што? (Ці) маем мы (жыды ў параўнаньні зь эллінамі) перавагу (перад судом Бога)? Ні ў якім разе! мы ўжо раней даказалі: што як жыды, так і элліны ўсе ёсьць пад грэхам,

Well then, should we conclude that we Jews are better than others? No, not at all, for we have already shown that all people, whether Jews or Gentiles,c are under the power of sin.

як напісана: няма ніводнага праведнага.

As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous — not even one.

Няма разумеючага. Няма нікога, хто шукае Бога.

No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God.

Усе зьбіліся з дарогі; усе разам сталіся нягоднымі; няма, хто робіць дабро, няма ніводнага.

All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.”d

Горла іхнае — магіла адкрытая; языкамі сваімі яны ашуквалі; атрута асьпідаў на вуснах іхных;

“Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with lies.” “Snake venom drips from their lips.”e

Вусны іхныя поўныя праклёну і гарчыні.

“Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”f

Ногі іх хуткія на праліцьцё крыві.

“They rush to commit murder.

Руйнаваньне і згуба на шляхох іхных;

Destruction and misery always follow them.

і шляху міру яны ня пазналі.

They don’t know where to find peace.”g

Няма страху Божага перад вачыма іхнымі.

“They have no fear of God at all.”h

А мы ведаем, што ўсё, што кажа Закон, (ён) кажа для тых, што знаходзяцца пад Законам, каб усе вусны змоўклі, і ўвесь сьвет стаўся вінаватым (перад) Богам:

Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God.

бо (па прычыне нявыкананьня) спраў Закону ня будзе апраўдана перад Ім ніякая плоць; бо праз Закон — пазнаньне грэху.

For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.

Але цяпер нязалежна ад Закону зьяўлена апраўданьне Богам (чалавека), пра якое засьведчана Законам і Прарокамі.

But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Mosesi and the prophets long ago.

Апраўданьне ж (чалавека) Богам адбываецца па прычыне (мэсіянскай) вернасьці Ісуса Хрыста (Богу Бацьку), (адбываецца) для ўсіх і на ўсіх веручых; бо няма розьніцы (паміж усімі чалавекамі),

We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.

бо ўсе зграшылі і пазбаўлены славы Бога.

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

(Але цяпер) апраўдваюцца (веручыя) да́рма Багадацьцю Ягонай цераз адкупленьне ў Хрысьце Ісусе,

Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

Якога Бог прынёс у ахвяру (дзеля) памілаваньня (чалавека) праз веру (чалавека) у (адкупленьне) Ягонай (Хрыстовай) Крывёю, дзеля выяўленьня апраўданьня Ягонага (чалавека) цераз дараваньне раней зробленых грахоў,

For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,

у цярпеньні Бога для выяўленьня справядлівасьці Ягонай у цяперашні час, каб быць Яму справядлівым і апраўдываючым таго, хто верыць у Ісуса.

for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.

Дык у чым (наша) хвальба? Выключана! Якім Законам? (Законам) учынкаў? Не, але цераз Закон веры.

Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith.

Пагэтаму мы робім выснову: чалавек апраўдываецца вераю нязалежна ад учынкаў па Закону.

So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.

Няўжо Бог — (Бог) толькі жыдоў, а ня і паганаў? Ведама і паганаў.

After all, is God the God of the Jews only? Isn’t he also the God of the Gentiles? Of course he is.

Таму што Адзін Бог, Каторы апраўдае абразаньне па веры і няабразаньне цераз веру.

There is only one God, and he makes people right with himself only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.j

Дык (што), Закон касуем цераз веру? (Хай) ня будзе (такога)! Але Закон сьцьвярджаем.

Well then, if we emphasize faith, does this mean that we can forget about the law? Of course not! In fact, only when we have faith do we truly fulfill the law.
