Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.

Всяк веруяй, яко Иисус есть Христос, от Бога рожден есть: и всяк любяй рождшаго любит и рожденнаго от него.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments.

О сем вемы, яко любим чада Божия, егда Бога любим и заповеди его соблюдаем.

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.

Сия бо есть любы Божия, да заповеди его соблюдаем: и заповеди его тяжки не суть.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.

Яко всяк рожденный от Бога побеждает мир: и сия есть победа, победившая мир, вера наша.

Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Кто есть побеждаяй мир, токмо веруяй, яко Иисус есть Сын Божий?

This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

Сей есть пришедый водою и кровию и Духом, Иисус Христос, не водою точию, но водою и кровию: и Дух есть свидетелствуяй, яко Дух есть истина.

For there are three that testify:

Яко трие суть свидетелствующии на небеси, Отец, слово и святый Дух: и сии три едино суть.

the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

И трие суть свидетелствующии на земли, дух и вода и кровь: и трие во едино суть.

If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that He has testified concerning His Son.

Аще свидетелство человеческое приемлем, свидетелство Божие более есть: яко сие есть свидетелство Божие, еже свидетелствова о Сыне своем.

The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son.

Веруяй в Сына Божия имать свидетелство в себе: не веруяй Богови лжа сотворил есть его, яко не верова во свидетелство, еже свидетелствова Бог о Сыне своем.

And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

И сие есть свидетелство, яко живот вечный дал есть нам Бог, и сей живот в Сыне его есть.

He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

Имеяй Сына Божия имать живот: а не имеяй Сына Божия живота не имать.

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Сия писах вам верующым во имя Сына Божия, да весте, яко живот вечный имате, и да веруете во имя Сына Божия.

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

И сие есть дерзновение, еже имамы к нему, яко аще чесо просим по воли его, послушает нас:

And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

и аще вемы, яко послушает нас, еже аще просим, вемы, яко имамы прошения, ихже просихом от него.

If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask and God will for him give life to those who commit sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death; I do not say that he should make request for this.

Аще кто узрит брата своего согрешающа грех не к смерти, да просит, и даст ему живот, согрешающым не к смерти. Есть грех к смерти: не о том, глаголю, да молится.

All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.

Всяка неправда грех есть, и есть грех не к смерти.

We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.

Вемы, яко всяк рожденный от Бога не согрешает: но рожденный от Бога блюдет себе, и лукавый не прикасается ему.

We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

Вемы, яко от Бога есмы, и мир весь во зле лежит.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Вемы же, яко Сын Божий прииде и дал есть нам (свет и) разум, да познаем Бога истиннаго и да будем во истиннем Сыне его Иисусе Христе: сей есть истинный Бог и живот вечный.

Little children, guard yourselves from idols.

Чадца, храните себе от треб идолских. Аминь.
