The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah,a the Son of God,b

Пачатак Евангелля Езуса Хрыста, Сына Божага.

as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way”c —

Як напісана ў прарока Ісаі: «Вось пасылаю анёла Майго перад Табою,які падрыхтуе дарогу Табе.

“a voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’ ”d

Голас таго, хто кліча ў пустыні: “Падрыхтуйце дарогу Пану, простымі рабіце сцежкі Яму”».

And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

З’явіўся Ян, хрысцячы ў пустыні і абвяшчаючы хрост пакаяння дзеля адпушчэння грахоў.

The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.

Выходзілі да яго ўся краіна юдэйская і ўсе жыхары Ерузалема і прымалі хрост ад яго ў рацэ Ярдан, вызнаючы свае грахі.

John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey.

Ян жа насіў адзенне з вярблюджай воўны і скураны пояс на бёдрах сваіх і еў саранчу і дзікі мёд.

And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.

Ён прапаведаваў, кажучы: «Ідзе за мною Мацнейшы за мяне, якому я няварты, нахіліўшыся, развязаць раменьчык на Яго сандалях.

I baptize you withe water, but he will baptize you withf the Holy Spirit.”

Я хрысціў вас вадою, а Ён будзе хрысціць вас Духам Святым».

At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.

У тыя дні прыйшоў Езус з Назарэта, што ў Галілеі, і быў ахрышчаны Янам у Ярдане.

Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

Адразу, калі выходзіў з вады, убачыў нябёсы раскрытыя і Духа, што як голуб, сыходзіў на Яго.

And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

І быў голас з нябёсаў: «Ты Сын Мой умілаваны, Цябе ўпадабаў Я».

At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness,

І адразу Дух павёў Яго ў пустыню.

and he was in the wilderness forty days, being temptedg by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.

І быў Ён у пустыні сорак дзён, а сатана выпрабоўваў Яго; і быў Ён са звярамі, і анёлы служылі Яму.

After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God.

Пасля таго, як выдалі Яна, прыйшоў Езус у Галілею, прапаведуючы Евангелле Божае

“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

і кажучы: «Споўніўся час, і наблізілася Валадарства Божае; кайцеся і верце ў Евангелле».

As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.

Праходзячы каля Галілейскага мора, убачыў Сымона і Андрэя, брата Сымона, якія закідвалі сеткі ў мора, бо яны былі рыбакамі.

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

Езус сказаў ім: «Ідзіце за Мной, і Я зраблю вас рыбакамі людзей».

At once they left their nets and followed him.

Яны, пакінуўшы сеткі, адразу пайшлі за Ім.

When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets.

Адышоўшы крыху далей, Ён убачыў Якуба Зэбэдэевага і Яна, брата ягонага, якія таксама былі ў чоўне і ладзілі сеткі.

Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

І адразу паклікаў іх. Яны, пакінуўшы бацьку свайго Зэбэдэя ў чоўне з работнікамі, пайшлі за Ім.

They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.

Калі прыйшлі ў Кафарнаум, Ён адразу ў шабат увайшоў у сінагогу і навучаў.

The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.

І здзіўляліся вучэнню Ягонаму, бо Ён вучыў іх як той, хто мае ўладу, а не як кніжнікі.

Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out,

Быў тады ў сінагозе чалавек, апанаваны нячыстым духам, які закрычаў:

“What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!”

«Што Табе да нас, Езус Назаранін? Ты прыйшоў загубіць нас? Я ведаю Цябе, хто Ты: Святы Божы».

“Be quiet!” said Jesus sternly. “Come out of him!”

Але Езус забараніў яму, кажучы: «Змоўкні і выйдзі з яго!»

The impure spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.

Тады нячысты дух, скалануўшы яго і закрычаўшы моцным голасам, выйшаў з яго.

The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, “What is this? A new teaching — and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.”

І спужаліся ўсе так, што пыталіся адзін у аднаго, кажучы: «Што гэта? Новае вучэнне з моцаю; Ён загадвае нават нячыстым духам, і яны слухаюцца Яго».

News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee.

І хутка разышлася пра Яго чутка па ўсёй ваколіцы Галілеі.

As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew.

Выйшаўшы з сінагогі, адразу прыйшоў з Якубам і Янам у дом Сымона і Андрэя.

Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her.

Цешча Сымона ляжала ў гарачцы, таму адразу сказалі Яму пра яе.

So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.

Ён падышоў і, узяўшы за руку, падняў яе. І пакінула яе гарачка, і яна прыслужвала ім.

That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed.

Калі настаў вечар і зайшло сонца, прыносілі да Яго ўсіх нядужых і апанаваных злымі духамі.

The whole town gathered at the door,

А ўвесь горад сабраўся перад дзвярыма.

and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.

Ён аздаравіў многіх, якія цярпелі на розныя хваробы, і выгнаў многіх злых духаў; але не дазваляў злым духам казаць, што яны пазналі Яго.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

На досвітку, устаўшы вельмі рана, Ён выйшаў і пайшоў у пустыннае месца і там маліўся.

Simon and his companions went to look for him,

Услед за Ім пайшоў Сымон і тыя, хто быў з ім.

and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”

А калі знайшлі Яго, сказалі Яму: «Усе шукаюць Цябе!»

Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else — to the nearby villages — so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.”

Ён адказаў ім: «Пойдзем куды-небудзь у блізкія паселішчы, каб Я і там прапаведаваў, бо дзеля гэтага Я прыйшоў».

So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.

І прапаведаваў Ён у сінагогах іхніх па ўсёй Галілеі, і выганяў злых духаў.

A man with leprosyh came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Вось прыйшоў да Яго пракажоны і, упаўшы на калені, прасіў Яго, кажучы: «Калі хочаш, можаш мяне ачысціць».

Jesus was indignant.i He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!”

Злітаваўшыся над ім, Ён працягнуў руку, дакрануўся да яго і сказаў яму: «Хачу, будзь ачышчаны!»

Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.

І адразу сышла з яго праказа, і ён стаў чысты.

Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning:

Езус сурова звярнуўся да Яго і зараз жа адправіў.

“See that you don’t tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”

І сказаў яму: «Глядзі, нікому нічога не кажы, але ідзі, пакажыся святару і прынясі ахвяру за сваё ачышчэнне, як загадаў Майсей, на сведчанне ім».

Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.

Але той, выйшаўшы, пачаў шмат абвяшчаць і расказваць пра здарэнне, так што Езус не мог ужо адкрыта ўвайсці ў горад, а заставаўся звонку, у пустынных мясцінах. І прыходзілі да Яго адусюль.
