The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah,a the Son of God,b

Пачатак Евангелі Ісуса Хрыста, Сына Божага.

as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way”c —

Як напісана ў Ісаі прарокі: «Вось, Я пасылаю ангіла Свайго перад відзеньням Тваім, каторы прыгатуе дарогу Тваю перад Табою.

“a voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’ ”d

Голас гукаючага на пустыні: гатуйце дарогу Спадарову, раўнуйце сьцежкі Яму!».

And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

Сталася, што Яан хрысьціў на пустыні, абяшчаючы хрэст каяты на дараваньне храхоў.

The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.

І выходзілі да яго ўся краіна Юдэйская а Ерузалімляне ўсі, і хрысьціліся ў яго ўсі ў раццэ Ёрдане, вызнаючы грахі свае.

John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey.

Яан жа насіў адзецьце зь вярблюджае поўсьці і дзягу на сьцёгнах сваіх, і еў шаранчу а дзікі мёд.

And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.

І абяшчаў, кажучы: «Ідзець за імною дужшы за мяне, Катораму я ня гожы, нахінуўшыся, разьвязаць рэменьчык вобую Ягонага.

I baptize you withe water, but he will baptize you withf the Holy Spirit.”

Я запраўды хрысьціў вас вадою, але Ён будзе хрысьціць вас Духам Сьвятым».

At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.

І сталася тых дзён, што Ісус прышоў з Назарэту Ґалілейскага і хрысьціўся ў Яана ў Ёрдане.

Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

І зараз, выходзячы з вады, абачыў нябёсы расьхіненыя і Духа, як галубу, зыходзячага на Яго.

And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

І быў голас ізь нябёсаў: «Ты Сын Мой любовы, у Табе Мае вялікае ўпадабаньне».

At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness,

І зараз Дух павёў Яго на пустыню.

and he was in the wilderness forty days, being temptedg by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.

І быў Ён там на пустыні сорак дзён, спакушаны шайтаном, і быў ізь зьверанятамі; і ангілы паслугавалі Яму.

After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God.

І просьле таго, як Яан быў выданы, прышоў Ісус да Ґалілеі, абяшчаючы Евангелю гаспадарства Божага,

“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

І кажучы: «Выпаўніўся час і дабліжылася гаспадарства Божае; пакайцеся а верце ў Евангелю».

As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.

І праходзячы ж ля мора Ґалілейскага, абачыў Сымона а Андрэя, брата ягонага, што закідалі сеці ў мора, бо яны былі рыбнікі.

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

І сказаў ім Ісус: «Ідзіце за Імною, і Я зраблю, што вы станеце лаўбітамі людзёў».

At once they left their nets and followed him.

І яны зараз, пакінуўшы сеці свае, пайшлі за Ім.

When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets.

І прайшоўшы стуль крыху, Ён абачыў Якава Зэведэявага а Яана, брата ягонага, што таксама былі ў струзе, правячы сеці свае;

Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

І зараз пагукаў Ён іх, і, пакінуўшы айца свайго Зэведэя ў струзе з наймітамі, пайшлі за Ім.

They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.

І прыйшлі да Капернауму; і зараз у сыботу ўвыйшоў ён у бажніцу, і навучаў.

The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.

І зумяваліся з навукі Ягонае, бо Ён навучаў іх, як уладу маючы, а не як кніжнікі.

Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out,

І зараз у бажніцы іхнай апынуўся чалавек, маючы духа нячыстага, і закрычэў,

“What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!”

Кажучы: «Пакінь, чаго Табе да нас, Ісусе Назарэцкі? ці Ты прышоў загубіць нас? Знаю Цябе, хто Ты, Сьвяты Божы».

“Be quiet!” said Jesus sternly. “Come out of him!”

Але Ісус зганіў, кажучы: «Змоўкні і выйдзі зь яго».

The impure spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.

Тады дух нячысты, скалатнуўшы яго й закрычэўшы вялікім голасам, вышаў зь яго.

The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, “What is this? A new teaching — and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.”

І ўсі зжахнуліся, ажно адзін у ваднаго пыталіся: «Што гэта? што гэта за новая навука, што Ён і духом нячыстым расказуе з уладаю, і яны слухаюць яго?»

News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee.

І ўборзьдзе разышлася празь Яго ведамка па ўсёй аколіцы ў Ґалілеі.

As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew.

Вышаўшы неўзабаве з бажніцы, прышлі да дому Сымонавага а Андрэевага зь Якавам а Яанам.

Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her.

Цешча ж Сымонава ляжала ў гаручцы; і без адвалокі кажуць яму празь яе.

So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.

І, дабліжыўшыся, Ён падняў яе, узяўшы яе за руку; і гаручка якга пакінула яе, і яна паслугавала ім.

That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed.

І ўвечары заходам сонца прыносілі да Яго ўсіх хворых і апанаваных нячысьцікам.

The whole town gathered at the door,

І ўсе места зьберлася да дзьвярэй.

and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.

І Ён уздаравіў шмат якіх, хворых на розныя хваробы, і выгнаў шмат нячысьцікаў, і не дазваляў нячысьцікам гукаць, бо яны зналі Яго.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

І нараніцы, устаўшы рана на додніцы, вышаў, і адышоў на пустыннае месца, і там маліўся.

Simon and his companions went to look for him,

Сымон а бытыя зь Ім пайшлі глядзець Яго.

and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”

І, знайшоўшы Яго, кажуць Яму: «Усі шукаюць Цябе».

Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else — to the nearby villages — so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.”

Ён кажа ім: «Пайдзіма да іншае мясцовасьці, да суседніх местачкаў, каб Імне й там абяшчаць, бо на тое Я прышоў».

So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.

І Ён абяшчаў у бажніцах іхных па ўсёй Ґалілеі, і выганяў нячысьцікаў.

A man with leprosyh came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Прыходзе да Яго хворы на праказу і, молячы Яго а клякаючы перад Ім, кажа Яму: «Калі хочаш, можаш мяне ачысьціць».

Jesus was indignant.i He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!”

Ісус, пажалеўшы яго, выцягнуў руку, даткнуўся да яго й сказаў яму: «Хачу, ачысьціся».

Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.

І якга зышла зь яго праказа, і ён быў чысты.

Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning:

І із стродкім заказам зараз выслаў яго.

“See that you don’t tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”

І сказаў яму: «Глядзі нікому нічога не кажы, але йдзі, пакажыся сьвятару і абрачы за ачышчэньне свае тое, што расказаў Масей, на сьветчаньне ім».

Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.

Але ён, вышаўшы, пачаў шмат агалашаць праз сталае, ажно Ісус ня мог ужо яўна ўвыйсьці ў места, але быў вонках на месцах пустых. І прыходзілі да Яго адусюль.
