Вы были мертвыми в ваших преступлениях и грехах

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,

и поступали по обычаям мира, по велениям властителя сил воздуха — духа, действующего ныне в тех, кто противится Богу.

in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

Мы все когда-то были такими и поступали по своим природным желаниям, следуя вожделениям тела. Нас, как и всех остальных, ожидал Божий гнев.

Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

Но Бог, богатый милостью, проявил такую огромную любовь к нам,

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

что нас, хотя мы были мертвыми по преступлениям, оживил с Христом. Вы спасены по благодати.

even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

И Бог воскресил нас вместе с Христом и посадил нас в небесах во Христе Иисусе.

and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Тем самым Он хотел показать в грядущих веках безмерное богатство своей благодати, проявленное к нам через Иисуса Христа.

so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Потому что вы спасены по благодати через веру, и это не ваша заслуга, это Божий дар.

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

Не за дела, чтобы никто не хвалился тем, что он якобы заслужил спасение.

not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Мы — изделие в руках Божьих, созданое в Иисусе Христе для совершения добрых дел, которые Бог заранее предназначил нам творить.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Помните поэтому, что вы по рождению язычники, которых так называемые "обрезанные" человеческим обрезанием, совершаемым руками, называли "необрезанными".

Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands —

Вы были в то время без Христа и не принадлежали к народу Израиля. Завет, в котором были заключены Божьи обещания, на вас не распространялся, вы жили в этом мире без надежды и без Бога.

remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

Но сейчас — во Христе Иисусе — вы, бывшие когда-то далеко, кровью Христа стали близки.

But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Он сам примирил нас с Богом и сделал из двух одно, разрушив своей смертью на кресте стоявшую между ними стену, то есть разделявшую нас вражду.

For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall,

Он упразднил закон с его заповедями и правилами, и Его цель — создать в себе из двух один новый народ, установить мир,

by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace,

и обоих, в одном теле, примирить с Богом через крест, убив собою вражду.

and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity.

Он пришел и проповедал мир вам, бывшим далеко от Него, и тем, кто был близок к Нему,

AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR;

поэтому через Него мы, и те, и другие, в одном Духе получили доступ к Отцу.

for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

Поэтому вы уже не чужие, и не инородцы; вы сограждане народу Божьему и члены Его семьи,

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household,

воздвигнутые на основании, заложенном апостолами и пророками, краеугольный камень которого — Христос Иисус.

having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone,

На Нем крепится все здание, поднимающееся все выше и становящееся святым храмом в Господе.

in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord,

В Нем и вы скрепляетесь вместе, чтобы духовно стать жилищем Бога.

in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
