Иисус снова пришел в синагогу. В это время там был человек с иссохшей рукой.

Jesus went into the synagogue again and noticed a man with a deformed hand.

Недоброжелатели Иисуса внимательно наблюдали за Ним, не исцелит ли Он этого человека в субботу, чтобы потом обвинить Его.

Since it was the Sabbath, Jesus’ enemies watched him closely. If he healed the man’s hand, they planned to accuse him of working on the Sabbath.

Иисус сказал человеку с иссохшей рукой: — Встань посередине.

Jesus said to the man with the deformed hand, “Come and stand in front of everyone.”

Затем Он спросил присутствовавших: — Что следует делать в субботу, добро или зло? Спасать жизнь или губить? Они молчали.

Then he turned to his critics and asked, “Does the law permit good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing evil? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?” But they wouldn’t answer him.

Тогда Иисус, обведя их гневным взглядом и скорбя о черствости их сердец, сказал калеке: — Протяни руку! — Тот протянул, и его рука стала совершенно здоровой.

He looked around at them angrily and was deeply saddened by their hard hearts. Then he said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” So the man held out his hand, and it was restored!

Выйдя из синагоги, фарисеи немедленно начали совещаться со сторонниками Ирода о том, как им разделаться с Иисусом.

At once the Pharisees went away and met with the supporters of Herod to plot how to kill Jesus.

А Иисус пошел с учениками к озеру. За ними следовало множество народа из Галилеи, Иудеи,

Jesus went out to the lake with his disciples, and a large crowd followed him. They came from all over Galilee, Judea,

Иерусалима, Идумеи, из-за Иордана, из окрестностей Тира и Сидона. Эти люди шли к Иисусу, потому что слышали о делах, которые Он совершал.

Jerusalem, Idumea, from east of the Jordan River, and even from as far north as Tyre and Sidon. The news about his miracles had spread far and wide, and vast numbers of people came to see him.

Иисус велел ученикам приготовить лодку, потому что толпа была столь многочисленна, что Его могли затолкать:

Jesus instructed his disciples to have a boat ready so the crowd would not crush him.

в тот день Он исцелил многих людей, и поэтому все больные протискивались вперед, чтобы прикоснуться к Нему.

He had healed many people that day, so all the sick people eagerly pushed forward to touch him.

А те, в ком были нечистые духи, когда видели Его, падали перед Ним ниц и кричали: — Ты Божий Сын!

And whenever those possessed by evila spirits caught sight of him, the spirits would throw them to the ground in front of him shrieking, “You are the Son of God!”

Но Иисус строго запрещал им разглашать это.

But Jesus sternly commanded the spirits not to reveal who he was.

Однажды Иисус поднялся на гору и позвал к себе тех, кого захотел. Они пришли к Нему,

Afterward Jesus went up on a mountain and called out the ones he wanted to go with him. And they came to him.

и из них Он выбрал двенадцать человек, которых назвал апостолами. Эти двенадцать всегда должны были быть с Ним, чтобы Он мог посылать их на проповедь.

Then he appointed twelve of them and called them his apostles.b They were to accompany him, and he would send them out to preach,

Он также наделил их властью изгонять демонов.

giving them authority to cast out demons.

Итак, Иисус назначил двенадцать человек: Симона (которому Он дал имя Петр),

These are the twelve he chose: Simon (whom he named Peter),

Иакова, сына Зеведея, и Иоанна, брата Иакова (их Он называл "Воанергес", что значит "сыновья грома"),

James and John (the sons of Zebedee, but Jesus nicknamed them “Sons of Thunder”c),

Aндрея, Филиппа, Варфоломея, Матфея, Фому, Иакова (сына Алфея), Фаддея, Симона Кананита

Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (son of Alphaeus), Thaddaeus, Simon (the zealotd),

и Иуду Искариота (который и предал Иисуса).

Judas Iscariot (who later betrayed him).

Однажды, когда Иисус вошел в дом, опять собралась толпа, так что Ему и ученикам даже поесть было некогда.

One time Jesus entered a house, and the crowds began to gather again. Soon he and his disciples couldn’t even find time to eat.

Услышав об этом, родственники Иисуса пришли забрать Его, потому что они говорили: — Он не в своем уме.

When his family heard what was happening, they tried to take him away. “He’s out of his mind,” they said.

А учителя закона, пришедшие из Иерусалима, утверждали: — Он одержим Вельзевулом. Он изгоняет демонов с помощью повелителя демонов.

But the teachers of religious law who had arrived from Jerusalem said, “He’s possessed by Satan,e the prince of demons. That’s where he gets the power to cast out demons.”

Тогда, подозвав их к себе, Иисус стал объяснять им с помощью притч: — Как сатана может изгонять сатану?

Jesus called them over and responded with an illustration. “How can Satan cast out Satan?” he asked.

Если царство разделится на враждующие части, оно не сможет устоять,

“A kingdom divided by civil war will collapse.

и если вражда вспыхнет внутри семьи, такая семья не уцелеет.

Similarly, a family splintered by feuding will fall apart.

Если сатана разделился и воюет против самого себя, то он не может устоять, и конец его близок.

And if Satan is divided and fights against himself, how can he stand? He would never survive.

Ведь невозможно же, войдя в дом сильного человека, разграбить его добро, если сначала не связать хозяина, и только тогда можно будет ограбить его дом.

Let me illustrate this further. Who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger — someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house.

Говорю вам истину: любые грехи и любое богохульство будут прощены людям,

“I tell you the truth, all sin and blasphemy can be forgiven,

но кто клевещет на Святого Духа, тому не простится никогда, вина за этот грех остается на человеке навсегда.

but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. This is a sin with eternal consequences.”

Он сказал это потому, что они говорили, будто в Нем нечистый дух.

He told them this because they were saying, “He’s possessed by an evil spirit.”

Пришли Его мать и братья и, стоя снаружи, попросили позвать Его.

Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him. They stood outside and sent word for him to come out and talk with them.

Вокруг Иисуса было много людей, и Ему передали: — Твоя мать, Твои братья и сестры стоят на улице и спрашивают Тебя.

There was a crowd sitting around Jesus, and someone said, “Your mother and your brothersf are outside asking for you.”

— Кто Мне мать и кто Мне братья? — спросил Иисус.

Jesus replied, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”

Он обвел взглядом сидящих вокруг Него людей и сказал: — Вот Моя мать и Мои братья.

Then he looked at those around him and said, “Look, these are my mother and brothers.

Потому что всякий, кто исполняет Божью волю, тот Мне брат, и сестра, и мать.

Anyone who does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”
