У чым жа перавага юдэяў? Або якая карысць з абразання?

What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

Вялікая ва ўсіх адносінах. Перш таму, што ім даверана слова Божае.

Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

Што з таго, што некаторыя не паверылі? Ці ж іх нявер’е знішчыць вернасць Бога?

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

Ніякім чынам! Бо Бог верны, а кожны чалавек ілжывы, як напісана: «Ты справядлівы ў прысудзе Тваім і пераможаш на судзе Тваім».

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Калі ж наша несправядлівасць падкрэслівае Божую справядлівасць, дык што мы скажам? Ці Бог несправядлівы, калі выяўляе гнеў? — Кажу па-чалавечы.

But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)

Ніякім чынам! Бо як жа тады Бог будзе судзіць свет?

God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

Бо калі праз маю хлусню праўда Божая тым больш выяўляецца на славу Яго, дык якім чынам я маю быць суджаны як грэшнік?

For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

І ці не так нас ачарняюць, ці не так гавораць, што мы кажам: «Будзем чыніць зло, каб выйшла дабро». Справядлівая кара такіх чакае.

And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

Дык што? Ці мы маем перавагу? Аніякай! Ужо раней мы даказалі, што і юдэі, і грэкі — усе пад грахом,

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

як напісана: «Нікога няма справядлівага,

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

ніхто не разумее, ніхто не шукае Бога.

There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Усе збочылі, усе разам сталіся нягоднымі. Няма, хто б чыніў дабро, няма аніводнага.

They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Горла іх — магіла адкрытая, языкамі сваімі падманваюць, у вуснах іх — яд змяіны,

Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

вусны іх поўныя праклёнаў і горычы,

Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

ногі іх скорыя да праліцця крыві,

Their feet are swift to shed blood:

знішчэнне ды няшчасце на іх шляхах,

Destruction and misery are in their ways:

яны не спазналі шляху супакою.

And the way of peace have they not known:

Няма страху Божага перад вачамі іх».

There is no fear of God before their eyes.

А мы ведаем, што ўсё, што гаворыць закон, гаворыць да тых, што пры законе, каб замкнуць любыя вусны ды каб увесь свет прызнаў сябе вінаватым перад Богам;

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

бо ўчынкамі закону не апраўдаецца аніякае цела перад Ім; бо праз закон пазнаецца грэх.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Але цяпер выявілася справядлівасць Божая незалежна ад закону, аб якой сведчаць закон і прарокі,

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

справядлівасць Божая праз веру ў Ісуса Хрыста для ўсіх і на ўсіх, што вераць. Бо няма розніцы,

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

таму што ўсе зграшылі і пазбаўлены славы Божай,

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

апраўданы ж дарма праз ласку Яго, праз адкупленне, якое ў Ісусе Хрысце;

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Яго прапанаваў Бог перамольнай ахвярай праз веру ў Кроў Яго для выяўлення справядлівасці Сваёй, бо не стаў зважаць на папярэднія злачынствы,

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

у цярплівасці Божай: для выяўлення справядлівасці Яго ў гэты час, каб Ён Сам стаўся справядлівым і апраўдваючым таго, хто веруе ў Ісуса.

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Дзе ж тады падстава для хвальбы? Адкідаецца! Якім законам? Ці [законам] учынкаў? Не, але законам веры.

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Бо мы мяркуем, што чалавек атрымлівае апраўданне праз веру, незалежна ад учынкаў закону.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Ці ж Бог толькі юдэяў? Ці не паганаў таксама? Вядома, і паганаў,

Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

адзін бо ёсць Бог, Які апраўдвае і абрэзанага з веры, і неабрэзанага — праз веру.

Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

Дык ці праз веру касуем закон? Ніякім чынам! Але закон сцвярджаем.

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
