Дык якое пяршынства Юдэя, ці якая карысьць ад абрэзаньня?

What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

Вялікае ў-ва ўсіх адносінах, а перадусім у тым, што ім даве́рана слова Божае.

Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

Бо што-ж? калі некаторыя і ня ўве́равалі, дык ці няве́ра іх зьнішчыць ве́ру Божую?

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

Няхай ня ста́нецца! Бог ве́рны, а ўсякі чалаве́к ілжывы, як напісана: Каб ты апраўдаўся ў словах Тваіх і перамог-бы, як суджаны будзеш (Псальм 50:6).

God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Калі-ж няпраўда нашая адкрывае праўду Божую, дык што скажам? няўжо-ж Бог несправядлівы, калі выяўляе гне́ў? — кажу па чалаве́чаму.

But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)

Хай ня ста́нецца! Бо як жа Богу судзіць сьве́т?

God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

Бо, калі праўда Божая мае́ю няпраўдаю на славу Божую ўзвышаецца, за што-ж яшчэ мяне́ судзіць, як грэшніка?

For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

І ці не рабіць нам благое, каб вышла дабро, як некаторыя абмаўляюць нас і кажуць, быццам мы гэтак вучым? Праведны суд на такіх!

And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

Дык што-ж? ці маем перавагу? Зусім не́: бо мы ўжо даказалі, што і Юдэі, і Грэкі — усе́ пад грэхам,

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

як напісана: няма праведніка ніводнага;

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

няма разуме́ючага; няма нікога, хто шукаў-бы Бога;

There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

усе́ зьбіліся з дарогі, усе́ разам нягодныя; няма, хто-б рабіў дабро, няма да адзінага (Псальм 13:1−3).

They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Горла ў іх — адчыненая магіла; языкамі сваімі зводзяць. Яд зьме́яў на вуснах іхніх (Псальм 5:10; 139:3);

Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

Рот у іх поўны абмовы й гарчыні (Псальм 9:28).

Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

Ногі ў іх хуткія на праліцьцё крыві;

Their feet are swift to shed blood:

зьнішчэньне і загуба на шляхох іхніх;

Destruction and misery are in their ways:

шляху міру яны не пазналі (Прыповесьцяў 1:16; Ісая 59:7−8).

And the way of peace have they not known:

Няма страху Божага перад вачыма іх (Псальм 35:2).

There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Мы-ж ве́даем, што закон, калі што гаворыць, гаворыць да тых, якія пад законам, каб кожны рот быў загароджаны, і ўве́сь сьве́т каб вінаватым стаўся перад Богам,

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

бо справамі закону не апраўдаецца перад Ім ніякае це́ла; бо праз закон пазнае́цца грэх.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Але сягоньня, незале́жна ад закону, выявілася праўда Божая, аб якой сьве́дчаць закон і прарокі.

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Праўда-ж Божая праз ве́ру ў Ісуса Хрыста для ўсіх і на ўсіх ве́руючых; бо няма розьніцы,

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

бо ўсе́ саграшылі і пазбаўлены славы Божае,

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

апраўдываныя дарма ласкай Ягонай, адкупле́ньнем, што́ ў Хрысьце́ Ісусе,

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Якога Бог аддаў на ахвяру зьмілавальную праз веру, у крыві Ягонай, дзеля выяўле́ньня праўды Яго ў дараваньні грахоў, учыненых ране́й,

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

у час доўгацярплівасьці Божае, на выяўле́ньне праўды Яго ў цяпе́рашні час, каб зьявіўся Ён праведным і апраўдываючым ве́руючага ў Ісуса.

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Гдзе́-ж тое, чым бы хваліцца? Вы́ключана. Якім законам? законам учынкаў? Не, але законам ве́ры.

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Бо мы прызнае́м, што чалаве́к апраўдываецца ве́раю, незале́жна ад учынкаў закону.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Няўжо-ж Бог ёсьць Бог Юдэяў толькі, а не паганаў таксама? Ве́дама, і паганаў,

Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

бо адзін ёсьць Бог, які апраўдывае абрэзаньне з ве́ры і не́абрэзаньне праз ве́ру.

Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

Дык мы зьніштажаем закон ве́раю? Няхай ня станецца! але ўзмацняем закон.

Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
