На пача́тку было Слова, і Слова было ў Бога, і Богам было Слова.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Яно было ў Бога спрадве́ку.

The same was in the beginning with God.

Усё праз Яго ста́лася, і без Яго нічога ня было з таго, што ста́лася.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

У Ім жыцьцё было, і жыцьцё было сьвятло́м для людзе́й.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

І сьвятло́ ў це́мры сьве́ціць, і це́мра не агарнула яго.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Быў чалаве́к, пасла́ны ад Бога; імя яго Іоан.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Ён прыйшоў дзеля сьве́дчаньня, каб сьве́дчыў аб сьвятле́, каб усе́ мелі ве́ру праз Яго.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

Ня быў ён сьвятлом, але каб сьве́дчыў аб Сьвятле́.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Было Сьвятло́ праўдзівае, якое прасьвячае ўсякага чалаве́ка прыходзячы ў сьве́т.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Было Яно на сьве́це, і сьве́т праз Яго стаўся, і сьве́т Яго не пазнаў.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Да сваіх прыйшло, і свае́ Яго ня прыня́лі.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

А тым, што прыня́лі Яго, ве́руючым у імя Яго, дало Яно ім сілу дзяцьмі Божымі ста́цца, тым, якія ве́руюць у імя Яго,

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

тым, што не ад крыві, не ад жаданьня це́ла, не ад жаданьня мужа, але ад Бога нарадзіліся.

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

І Слова це́лам ста́лася і пасялілася між нас, (і бачылі мы славу Яго, славу, як Адзінароднага ад Айца), поўнае ласкі і праўды.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Іоан сьве́дчыць аб Ім і го́ласна кажа: Гэта Той, пра Якога я сказаў: Той, што пасьля мяне́ йдзе, Ён напе́радзе мяне́ стаў, бо ране́й за мяне́ быў.

John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

І ад поўнасьці Яго ўсе́ мы прынялі ласку на ласку;

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

бо закон быў да́дзены праз Майсе́я, ласка-ж і праўда сталіся праз Ісуса Хрыста.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Бога ня бачыў ніхто ніколі; Адзінародны Сын, што ў улоньні Айца, Той зьявіў.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

І вось сьве́дчаньне Іоана, як Жыды паслалі з Ерузаліму сьвяшчэньнікаў і лявітаў, каб спыталіся ў яго: хто ты?

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

Ён сказаў і ня зрокся, і сказаў: я ня Хрыстос.

And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

І пыталіся ў яго: дык хто-ж? ты Ільля? І сказаў: не́. Прарок? І адказаў: не́.

And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

Дык сказалі яму: хто-ж ты? каб нам даць адказ тым, што нас паслалі: што́ ты кажаш аб самым сабе́?

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

І сказаў: я голас гука́ючага ў пустыні: Прастуйце шлях Госпаду, як сказаў прарок Ісая (Ісая 40:3).

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

А пасланыя былі ад фарысэяў.

And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

І спыталіся ў яго: Дык што-ж ты хрысьціш, калі ты ня Хрыстос, ані Ільля, ані прарок?

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

Іоан сказаў ім у адказ: я хрышчу вадой, але паўстаў сярод вас, Каго вы ня ве́даеце;

John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

гэта Той, што йдзе́ за мною, але напе́радзе мяне́ быў, Якому я ня варты разьвязаць раме́нь абуцьця Яго.

He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

Ста́лася гэта ў Віфавары, за Іорданам, дзе хрысьціў Іоан.

These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

На другі дзе́нь бачыць Іоан Ісуса ідучы да яго і кажа: вось Ягня Божае, што бярэ на Сябе́ грахі ўсяго сьве́ту.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Гэта Той, аб Якім я сказаў: ідзе́ за мною Муж, Які стаў напе́радзе мяне́, бо ране́й за мяне́ быў;

This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

і я ня ве́даў Яго; але, каб зьявіўся Ізраілю, прыйшоў я, хрысьцячы вадой.

And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

І сьве́дчыў Іоан, кажучы: я бачыў Духа, зыходзячы з не́ба, як галуб, і стаў Ён над Ім.

And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

І я ня ве́даў Яго; але Той, што паслаў мяне́ хрысьціць вадой, сказаў мне́: на каго угле́дзіш зыхо́дячы Духа, Гэты і ёсьць Той, што Духам Сьвятым хрысьціць.

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

І я бачыў і засьве́дчыў, што гэты ёсьць Сын Божы.

And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

На другі дзе́нь ізноў стаяў Іоан і двое з вучняў яго.

Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

І, угле́дзіўшы, што йдзе Ісус, сказаў: вось Ягня Божае!

And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

І пачулі двое з вучняў яго, як казаў гэтае, і пайшлі за Ісусам.

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

Ісус жа, аглянуўшыся і ўгле́дзіўшы, што йдуць за Ім, кажа ім: чаго шука́еце? Яны адказалі Яму: Равві! (г. е. вучыцель) — дзе́ жыве́ш?

Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

Кажа ім: пайдзе́це і ўбачыце. Яны пайшлі і ўбачылі, дзе́ Ён жыве́, і астава́ліся ў Яго гэты дзе́нь. Было-ж каля дзесятае гадзіны.

He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

Адзін з двох, што чулі ад Іоана і пайшлі за Ісусам, быў Андрэй, брат Сымона Пятра.

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

Ён пе́ршы знаходзіць брата свайго Сымона і кажа яму: мы знайшлі Мэсію (што азначае Хрыста).

He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

І прывёў яго да Ісуса. Ісус жа, глянуўшы на яго, сказаў: Ты Сымон, сын Іонін, ты назаве́шся Кіфа, што значыць ка́мень (Пётр).

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

На другі дзе́нь Ісус хаце́ў ісьці ў Галіле́ю і знаходзіць Піліпа ды кажа яму: ідзі за Мною.

The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

Піліп жа быў з Віфсаіды, з ме́ста Андрэя і Пятра.

Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Піліп знаходзіць Натанаіла і кажа яму: мы знайшлі Таго, аб Кім пісаў Майсе́й у законе і прарокі: Ісуса, Сына Язэпавага, што з Назарэту.

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Але Натанаіл сказаў яму: ці-ж можа быць што́ добрае з Назарэту? Піліп кажа яму: пайдзі ды паглядзі.

And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

Ісус, угле́дзіўшы Натанаіла, як ішоў да Яго, кажа аб ім: вось, запраўды, ізраільцянін, у якім няма няшчырасьці.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

Натанаіл кажа Яму: скуль ве́даеш мяне́? Ісус адказаў і сказаў яму: пе́рш, чым Піліп паклікаў цябе́, я бачыў цябе, як ты быў пад смакоўніцаю.

Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

І кажа Яму Натанаіл: Равві! Ты Сын Божы! Ты — Цар Ізраіляў!

Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Ісус у адказ сказаў яму: ве́рыш, бо Я сказаў табе: Я бачыў цябе́ пад смакоўніцаю; убачыш больш за гэтае.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

І кажа яму: запраўды́, запраўды́ кажу вам: адгэтуль будзеце бачыць не́ба адчы́ненае і ангелаў Божых узыходзячы і сходзячы ўніз да Сына Чалаве́чага.

And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
