На пачатку было Слова, і Слова было ў Бога, і Богам было Слова.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Яно было ў Бога на пачатку.

The same was in the beginning with God.

Усё праз Яго сталася, і без Яго нічога не сталася з таго, што сталася.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

У Ім было жыццё, і жыццё было святлом людзей.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

А святло свеціць у цемры, і цемра не агарнула яго.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

З’явіўся чалавек, пасланы ад Бога; імя ягонае было Ян.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Ён прыйшоў дзеля сведчання, каб засведчыць пра святло, каб усе паверылі праз яго.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

Не быў ён святлом, але быў пасланы даць сведчанне пра святло.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Было святло праўдзівае, якое асвятляе кожнага чалавека, які прыходзіць на свет.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

У свеце было, і свет праз Яго стаўся, і свет не пазнаў Яго.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Да свайго прыйшло, і свае Яго не прынялі.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

А тым, якія прынялі Яго, дало ўладу стаць Божымі дзецьмі, што вераць у імя Ягонае,

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

якія не ад крыві, і не ад жадання цела, і не ад жадання мужа, але ад Бога нарадзіліся.

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Слова сталася целам і пасялілася між намі, і ўбачылі мы славу Ягоную, славу, якую мае ад Айца Адзінародны, поўны ласкі і праўды.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Ян сведчыць пра Яго і ўсклікае, кажучы: «Гэта быў той, пра каго я сказаў: за мною ідзе той, які апярэдзіў мяне, таму што быў раней за мяне».

John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

Бо з паўнаты Ягонай мы ўсе прынялі ласку замест ласкі.

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Бо Закон быў дадзены праз Майсея, а ласка і праўда сталіся праз Езуса Хрыста.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Бога ніхто ніколі не бачыў. Адзінародны Бог, які ва ўлонні Айца, Ён адкрыў».

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Вось сведчанне Яна. Калі юдэі з Ерузалема паслалі святароў і левітаў, каб яны спыталіся ў яго: «Хто ты?»

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

Ён абвясціў, не выракся і вызнаў: «Я не Месія».

And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

І спыталіся ў яго: «Дык хто ж? Ты Ілля?» І сказаў: «Не». «Ты прарок?» І ён адказаў: «Не».

And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

Тады сказалі яму: «Хто ты, каб нам адказаць тым, хто паслаў нас. Што гаворыш ты пра самога сябе?»

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

Ён сказаў: «Я голас таго, хто кліча ў пустыні: “Раўняйце дарогу Пану”, як сказаў прарок Ісая».

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

А пасланцы былі з фарысеяў.

And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

І яны спыталіся ў яго: «Тады чаму ты хрысціш, калі ты ні Хрыстус, ні Ілля і ні прарок?»

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

Ян сказаў ім у адказ: «Я хрышчу вадою. А сярод вас стаіць той, каго вы не ведаеце,

John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

той, хто ідзе за мною, якому я няварты развязаць раменьчык на сандалях Ягоных».

He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

Сталася гэта ў Бэтаніі, за Ярданам, дзе хрысціў Ян.

These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

На другі дзень убачыў Ян Езуса, які ішоў да яго, і сказаў: «Вось Баранак Божы, які бярэ на сябе грэх свету.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Гэта той, пра якога я сказаў: пасля мяне ідзе Муж, які апярэдзіў мяне, бо Ён быў раней за мяне.

This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

Я не ведаў Яго, але для таго прыйшоў я хрысціць вадою, каб Ён аб’явіўся Ізраэлю».

And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

І засведчыў Ян, кажучы: «Я бачыў Духа, які сыходзіў як голуб з неба і застаўся на Ім.

And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

Я не ведаў Яго, але той, хто паслаў мяне хрысціць вадою, сказаў мне: “Над кім убачыш Духа, які сыходзіць і застаецца на Ім, той ёсць тым, хто хрысціць Духам Святым”.

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

І я бачыў, і засведчыў, што Ён — Сын Божы».

And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

На другі дзень зноў стаяў Ян і двое з вучняў ягоных

Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

і, убачыўшы Езуса, які ішоў, сказаў: «Вось Баранак Божы».

And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

Пачулі двое вучняў яго, што ён казаў, і пайшлі за Езусам.

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

А Езус, абярнуўшыся і ўбачыўшы, што яны ідуць за Ім, кажа: «Чаго шукаеце?» Яны сказалі Яму: «Раббі (што азначае “настаўнік”), дзе жывеш?»

Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

Ён сказаў ім: «Ідзіце і ўбачыце». Яны пайшлі і ўбачылі, дзе Ён жыве, і засталіся ў Яго ў той дзень. Было каля дзесятай гадзіны.

He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

Адным з двух, якія пачулі ад Яна пра Езуса і пайшлі за Ім, быў Андрэй, брат Сымона Пятра.

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

Знайшоўшы спачатку брата свайго Сымона, сказаў яму: «Мы знайшлі Месію (гэта значыць Хрыста)».

He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

І прывёў яго да Езуса. Езус, глянуўшы на яго, сказаў: «Ты Сымон, сын Яна; ты будзеш названы Кефас», што азначае «Пётр», «скала».

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

На другі дзень хацеў Езус пайсці ў Галілею. Знайшоўшы Філіпа, сказаў яму: «Ідзі за Мною».

The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

Філіп быў з Бэтсаіды, з горада Андрэя і Пятра.

Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Філіп знайшоў Натанаэля і сказаў яму: «Мы знайшлі таго, пра каго пісалі Майсей у Законе і Прарокі, — Езуса з Назарэта, сына Юзафа».

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Але Натанаэль сказаў яму: «Ці можа быць штосьці добрае з Назарэта?» Філіп адказаў яму: «Ідзі і паглядзі».

And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

Езус, убачыўшы Натанаэля, які ішоў да Яго, кажа пра яго: «Вось сапраўдны ізраэльцянін, у якім няма падману».

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

Натанаэль адказаў Яму: «Адкуль Ты ведаеш мяне?» Езус адказаў яму: «Перш чым Філіп паклікаў цябе, Я бачыў цябе, калі ты быў пад смакоўніцаю».

Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Адказаў Яму Натанаэль: «Раббі, Ты Сын Божы! Ты Кароль Ізраэля!»

Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Езус сказаў яму ў адказ: «Ты верыш, бо Я сказаў табе, што бачыў цябе пад смакоўніцаю? Убачыш больш за гэта».

Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

І кажа яму: «Сапраўды, сапраўды кажу вам: убачыце неба раскрытае і анёлаў Божых, якія ўзыходзяць і сыходзяць на Сына Чалавечага».

And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
