На пачатку было Слова, і Слова было ў Бога, і Богам было Слова.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Яно было ў Бога на пачатку.

The same was in the beginning with God.

Усё праз Яго сталася, і без Яго нічога не было з таго, што сталася.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

У Ім жыцьцё было, і жыцьцё было сьвятлом для людзей.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

І сьвятло ў цемры сьвеціць, і цемра не агарнула яго.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Быў чалавек, пасланы ад Бога; імя яго Ян.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Ён прыйшоў дзеля сьведчаньня, каб сьведчыў пра Сьвятло, каб усе мелі веру праз яго.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

Ня быў ён сьвятлом, але [прыйшоў,] каб сьведчыць пра Сьвятло.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Было Сьвятло праўдзівае, якое прасьвятляе ўсякага чалавека, што прыходзіць у сьвет.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Было Яно ў сьвеце, і сьвет праз Яго стаўся, і сьвет Яго не пазнаў.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Да сваіх прыйшло, і свае Яго не прынялі.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

А тым, што прынялі Яго, дало Яно ім уладу дзецьмі Божымі стацца, тым, якія вераць у імя Яго,

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

тым, што не ад крыві, не ад жаданьня цела, не ад жаданьня мужа, але ад Бога нарадзіліся.

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

І Слова Целам сталася, і пасялілася між нас, поўнае ласкі і праўды, і мы бачылі славу Яго, славу, як Адзінароднага ў Айца.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Ян сьведчыць пра Яго і ўсклікае, кажучы: «Гэта Той, пра Якога я сказаў: “Той, Які пасьля мяне ідзе, наперадзе мяне стаў, бо раней за мяне быў”».

John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

І ад поўнасьці Яго ўсе мы прынялі ласку [Божую] за ласкай [Божай].

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Бо Закон быў дадзены праз Майсея, а ласка [Божая] і праўда сталіся праз Ісуса Хрыста.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Бога ня бачыў ніхто ніколі; Адзінародны Сын, Які ва ўлоньні Айца, Той зьявіў.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

І вось сьведчаньне Яна, калі Юдэі з Ерусаліму паслалі сьвятароў і лявітаў, каб спыталіся ў яго: «Хто ты?»

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

І ён вызнаў, і ня выракся, і вызнаў: «Я — не Хрыстос».

And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

І спыталіся ў яго: «Дык што? Ты — Ільля?» І гаворыць: «Не». «Прарок?» І адказаў: «Не».

And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

Дык сказалі яму: «Хто ж ты? Каб нам даць адказ тым, якія нас паслалі, што ты кажаш пра самога сябе?»

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

Ён сказаў: «Я — голас таго, хто кліча ў пустыні: “Прастуйце шлях Госпаду”, як сказаў прарок Ісая».

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

А пасланыя былі з фарысэяў.

And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

І яны спыталіся ў яго, і сказалі яму: «Дык чаму ты хрысьціш, калі ты не Хрыстос, ані Ільля, ані прарок?»

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

Адказаў ім Ян, кажучы: «Я хрышчу вадой, але паўстаў сярод вас Той, Якога вы ня ведаеце;

John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

гэта Той, Які ідзе за мною, але наперадзе мяне быў, Якому я ня варты разьвязаць рамень сандала Ягонага».

He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

Сталася гэта ў Бэтабары, за Ярданам, дзе хрысьціў Ян.

These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

На наступны дзень бачыць Ян Ісуса, Які ішоў да яго, і кажа: «Вось Ягня Божае, Які бярэ на Сябе грэх сьвету.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Гэта Той, пра Якога я сказаў: “Ідзе за мною Муж, Які наперадзе мяне стаў, бо раней за мяне быў”.

This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

І я ня ведаў Яго; але дзеля таго, каб Ён быў зьяўлены Ізраілю, прыйшоў я, хрысьцячы вадою».

And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

І засьведчыў Ян, кажучы: «Я бачыў Духа, Які зыходзіў з неба як голуб і застаўся на Ім.

And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

І я ня ведаў Яго, але Той, Які паслаў мяне хрысьціць вадою, сказаў мне: “На Кім угледзіш Духа, Які зыходзіць і застаецца на Ім, Ён і ёсьць Той, Які хрысьціць Духам Сьвятым”.

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

І я ўбачыў і засьведчыў, што Ён і ёсьць Сын Божы».

And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

На наступны дзень ізноў стаяў Ян і двое з вучняў ягоных.

Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

І, угледзеўшы, што ідзе Ісус, ён гаворыць: «Вось, Ягня Божае!»

And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

І пачулі двое вучняў ягоных, як казаў гэта, і пайшлі за Ісусам.

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

Ісус жа, павярнуўшыся і ўбачыўшы, што яны ідуць за Ім, кажа ім: «Што шукаеце?» Яны ж сказалі Яму: «Раббі, — што перакладаецца Настаўнік, — дзе жывеш?»

Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

Гаворыць ім: «Прыйдзіце і ўбачыце». Яны пайшлі і ўбачылі, дзе Ён жыве, і засталіся ў Яго той дзень. Было ж каля дзясятае гадзіны.

He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

Адзін з двух, якія пачулі ад Яна і пайшлі за Ім, быў Андрэй, брат Сымона Пятра.

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

Ён першы знаходзіць брата свайго Сымона і кажа яму: «Мы знайшлі Мэсію, — што перакладаецца Хрыстос».

He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

І ён прывёў яго да Ісуса. Ісус жа, глянуўшы на яго, сказаў: «Ты — Сымон, сын Ёны, ты будзеш называцца Кіфа, — што перакладаецца Скала».

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

На наступны дзень Ісус хацеў ісьці ў Галілею, і знаходзіць Філіпа, і кажа яму: «Ідзі за Мною».

The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

Філіп жа быў з Бэтсаіды, з гораду Андрэя і Пятра.

Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Філіп знаходзіць Натанаэля і кажа яму: «Мы знайшлі Таго, пра Каго пісаў Майсей у Законе і Прарокі, — Ісуса, сына Язэпа, што з Назарэту».

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

І сказаў яму Натанаэль: «Ці ж можа быць што добрае з Назарэту?» Гаворыць яму Філіп: «Прыйдзі і паглядзі».

And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

Ісус убачыў Натанаэля, які ішоў да Яго, і кажа пра яго: «Вось, сапраўды, Ізраільцянін, у якім няма подступу».

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

Натанаэль кажа Яму: «Адкуль Ты даведаўся пра мяне?» Адказаў Ісус і сказаў яму: «Раней, чым Філіп паклікаў цябе, калі ты быў пад дрэвам фігавым, Я бачыў цябе».

Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Адказаў Яму Натанаэль: «Раббі! Ты — Сын Божы! Ты — Валадар Ізраіля!»

Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Адказаў Ісус і сказаў яму: «Ты верыш, бо Я сказаў табе: “Я бачыў цябе пад дрэвам фігавым”? Угледзіш больш за гэтае».

Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

І кажа яму: «Сапраўды, сапраўды кажу вам: ад цяпер угледзіце неба адчыненае і анёлаў Божых, якія ўзыходзяць і зыходзяць да Сына Чалавечага».

And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
