На пачатку быў Слова, і Слова быў з Богам, і Слова быў Бог.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Ён быў у Бога на пачатку.

The same was in the beginning with God.

Усё празь Яго сталася, і бязь Яго нічога ня ста́лася (з таго), што сталася.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

У Ім Жыцьцё было, і Жыцьцё было Сьвятлом людзей.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

І Сьвятло ў цемры сьвеціць, і цемра ня праглыну́ла Яго.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Быў чалавек, пасланы ад Бога; імя ягонае Яан.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Ён прыйшоў дзеля сьведчаньня, каб сьведчыць пра Сьвятло, каб усе паверылі празь Яго.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

Ня быў ён Сьвятлом, але каб сьведчыць пра Сьвятло.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

(Бо) у сьвет ужо прыйшоў Сьвятло Сапраўдны, Які прасьвятляе ўсякага чалавека.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Ён (ужо) быў на сьвеце, і сьвет празь Яго стаўся, але сьвет Яго ня пазна́ў.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Ён прыйшоў да сваіх, але свае Яго ня прынялі.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

А ўсім тым, (што) прынялі Яго, даў Ён ім уладу дзяцьмі Боскімі стацца, тым, (якія) вераць у Імя Ягонае,

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

каторыя ня ад крывí, ані ад жаданьня цела, ані ад жаданьня мужа, але ад Бога нарадзіліся.

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

І Слова Целам стаўся і жыў між нас, — і (мы) бачылі Славу Ягоную, Славу як Адзінароднага ад Ба́цькі, — поўны Багадаці і Праўды.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Яан сьведчыць аб Ім і закрычаў, кажучы: Гэты быў Той, пра Якога я запэўніў: Той, Хто пасьля мяне йдзе, Ён наперадзе мяне стаў, бо раней за мяне быў.

John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

І ад Поўнасьці Ягонай ўсе мы атрымалі і Багадаць з прычыны Божай Любові;

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

бо Закон быў дадзены праз Масея, Багадаць і Праўда сталіся празь Ісуса Хрыста.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Бога ня ба́чыў ніхто ніколі; Адзінародны Сын, Які ёсьць ва Ўлоньні Ба́цькі, Ён зьявіў.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

І гэта ёсьць сьведчаньне Яанава, калі юдэі паслалі зь Ярузаліму сьвятароў і лявітаў, каб спыталіся ў яго: хто ты ёсьць?

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

І (ён) вызнаў, і ня зро́кся, і вызнаў: я — ня Хрысто́с.

And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

І спыталіся (ў) яго: дык хто ж? няўжо ты Ільля? І кажа:(я) — не. Няўжо ты прарок? І (ён) адказаў: не.

And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

Дык сказалі яму: хто ж (ты)? Каб мы далі адказ тым, (што) нас паслалі: што (ты) кажаш пра самога сябе?

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

Ён сказаў: я голас крычачага ў пустэльні: прастуйце шлях Госпада, як сказаў прарок Гісая (Гісая 40:3).

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

А гэтыя пасланыя былі ад хварысэяў.

And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

І (яны) спыталіся (ў) яго, і сказалі яму: дык што ж (ты) хрысьціш, калі ты ня Хрысто́с, ані Ільля, ані прарок?

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

Яан адказаў ім, кажучы: я хрышчу ў вадзе, але стаіць сярод вас Той, Якога вы ня ве́даеце;

John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

Ён ёсьць Той, Хто йдзе за мною, Які наперадзе мяне быў; Яго я ня ва́рты, каб разьвязаць Яму рамень абуцьця (Ягонага).

He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

Сталася гэта ў Бэтабары, за Ярданам, дзе Яан быў хрысьціў.

These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

На другі дзень бачыць Яан Ісуса, ідучага да яго, і кажа: вось Ягняк Божы, Каторы бярэ (на Сябе) грэх сьвету.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Ён ёсьць Той, пра Якога я сказаў: ідзе за мною Мужчына, Які стаў наперадзе мяне, бо раней за мяне быў;

This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

і я ня ве́даў Яго, але, каб Ён быў выяўлены Ізраэлю, дзеля таго я прыйшоў, хрысьцячы ў вадзе.

And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

І сьведчыў Яан, кажучы: (я) бачыў: Дух зыходзіў зь Неба (на Яго), як галуб, і Ён (Дух) застаўся на Ім.

And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

І я ня ве́даў Яго; але Той, Хто паслаў мяне хрысьціць у вадзе, Ён сказаў мне: калі на Каго ўгледзіш: Дух зыходзіць і застаецца на Ім, Гэты ёсьць Той, Хто Духам Сьвятым хрысьціць.

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

І я ўбачыў і засьведчыў, што Ён ёсьць Сын Божы.

And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

На другі дзень ізноў стаяў Яан і двое з вучняў ягоных.

Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

І, угледзіўшы, (што) ідзе Ісус, кажа: вось Ягняк Божы.

And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

І пачулі яго, (што гэтае) гаворыць, двое вучняў (ягоных) і пайшлі за Ісусам.

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

Абярнуўшыся ж Ісус і ўбачыўшы іх, (што яны) ідуць усьлед (за Ім), кажа ім: Каго шукаеце? Яны ж адказалі Яму: Раббі, — што значыць (у) перакладзе: Вучыцелю, — дзе жывеш?

Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

Кажа ім: прыйдзіце і ўбачыце. (Яны) пайшлі і ўбачылі, дзе Ён жыве, і прабылі ў Яго гэты дзень. Было ж каля дзесятае гадзіны.

He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

Андрэй, брат Сымона Пётры, быў адзін із двух, што пачулі ад Яана і пайшлі ўсьлед за Ім.

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

Ён першы знаходзіць брата свайго Сымона і кажа яму: мы знайшлі Мэсію, што ёсьць у перакладзе Хрыстос.

He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

І прывёў яго да Ісуса. Глянуўшы ж (на) яго, Ісус сказаў: ты — Сымон, сын Ёнін, ты назавешся Кіхва, што перакладаецца Пётра.

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Назаўтрае Ісус захацеў ісьці ў Галілею, і знаходзіць Піліпа ды кажа яму: ідзі за Мною.

The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

Быў жа Піліп з Бэтсаіды, зь места Андрэявага і Пётравага.

Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Піліп знаходзіць Натанайлу і кажа яму: мы знайшлі Ісуса, Сына Язэпавага з Назарэту, пра Каго напісаў Масей у Законе і Прарокі.

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

І сказаў яму Натанайла: (ці) можа быць што добрае з Назарэту? Піліп кажа яму: пайдзі ды глянь.

And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

Ісус убачыў Натанайлу, (што) ідзе да Яго, і кажа пра яго: вось, запраўды, ізраэлянін, у якім няма хітрыні.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

Натанайла кажа Яму: скуль Ты ведаеш мяне? Ісус адказаў і сказаў яму: перш, чым паклікаў цябе Піліп, як (ты) быў пад смакоўніцай, Я бачыў цябе.

Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Натанайла адказаў і гаворыць Яму: Раббі! Ты ёсьць Сын Божы! Ты ёсьць Кароль Ізраэляў!

Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

Ісус адказаў і сказаў яму: (ты) верыш таму, што Я сказаў табе, (што) бачыў цябе пад смакоўніцай; (ты) убачыш больш гэтага!

Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

І кажа яму: Праўду, Праўду Я кажу вам: адгэтуль убачыце: (як) Неба адчынілася, і Ангелы Божыя ўзыходзяць і зыходзяць да Сына Чалавечага.

And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
