У пачатку было Слова, і Слова было ў Бога, і Богам было Слова.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Яно было ў пачатку ў Бога.

The same was in the beginning with God.

Усё праз Яго ўзнікла, і без Яго нічога не ўзнікла, што ўзнікла.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

У Ім было жыццё, і жыццё было святлом людзей;

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

і святло ў цемры свеціць, і цемра не агарнула яго.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

З’явіўся чалавек, пасланы ад Бога, імя яму Іаан.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

Ён прыйшоў для сведчання, каб засведчыць пра Святло, каб усе ўверавалі праз яго.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

Ён не быў святлом, але быў пасланы, каб засведчыць пра Святло.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Гэта было Святло праўдзівае, Якое асвятляе кожнага чалавека, што прыходзіць у свет.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

У свеце Ён быў, і свет узнік праз Яго, але свет не пазнаў Яго.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Ён прыйшоў да сваіх, і свае не прынялі Яго.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

А ўсім, хто прыняў Яго, Ён даў уладу стаць дзецьмі Божымі, тым, што веруюць у Яго імя,

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

якія не ад крыві, не ад жадання цела, не ад жадання мужа, але ад Бога нарадзіліся.

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

І Слова зрабілася целам і пасялілася ў нас. І мы ўбачылі Яго славу, славу як Адзінароднага ад Бацькі, — поўнае ласкі і праўды.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Іаан сведчыць пра Яго і, усклікваючы, кажа: Гэта быў Той, пра Каго я сказаў: «Той, Хто за мною ідзе, стаў перада мною, бо Ён быў раней за мяне».

John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

Бо1 ад Яго паўнаты мы ўсе атрымалі, і ласку за ласкаю;

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

таму што закон быў дадзены праз Маісея, ласка і праўда сталіся праз Ісуса Хрыста.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Бога ніхто не бачыў ніколі; Адзінародны Сын2, што ёсць ва ўлонні Бацькі, Той аб’явіў Яго.

No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

І вось сведчанне Іаана, калі іудзеі паслалі да яго з Іерусаліма святароў і лявітаў, каб спыталіся ў яго: Хто ты?

And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

І ён вызнаў і не адмовіўся, а вызнаў: Я не Хрыстос.

And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

І яны спыталіся ў яго: Дык што? Ты Ілія? — І ён адказаў: Не. — Ці ты прарок? — І ён адказаў: Не.

And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

Дык яны сказалі яму: Хто ты, каб нам даць адказ тым, хто паслаў нас? Што ты кажаш пра самога сябе?

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

Ён сказаў: Я вокліч прапаведніка ў пустэльні: «Выпрастайце дарогу Гасподнюю», як сказаў Ісаія-прарок.

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

А пасланыя былі з фарысеяў.

And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

І яны спыталіся ў яго і сказалі яму: Што ж ты хрысціш, калі ты не Хрыстос, і не Ілія, і не прарок?

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

Адказаў ім Іаан, кажучы: Я хрышчу ў вадзе, [але] сярод вас стаіць Той, Каго вы не ведаеце,

John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

Які за мною ідзе і Якому я не варты, каб развязаць раменьчык Яго сандаля.

He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

Гэта адбылося ў Віфаніі3 за Іарданам, дзе Іаан хрысціў.

These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

На другі дзень ён4 бачыць Ісуса, што да яго ідзе, і кажа: вось Ягнятка Божае, Якое бярэ на Сябе грэх свету.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Гэта Той, пра Каго я сказаў: «За мною ідзе Муж, Які стаў перада мною, бо Ён быў раней за мяне».

This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

І я не ведаў Яго, але, каб Ён быў абвешчаны Ізраілю, — для гэтага я прыйшоў хрысціць у вадзе.

And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

І Іаан засведчыў, кажучы: Я ўбачыў Духа, што сходзіў, як голуб, з неба, і Ён застаўся на Ім.

And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

І я не ведаў Яго, але Той, Хто паслаў мяне хрысціць у вадзе, мне сказаў: «На Каго ўбачыш, што сходзіць Дух і застаецца на Ім, — гэта Той, Хто хрысціць Святым Духам».

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

І я ўбачыў і засведчыў, што Гэты — Сын Божы.

And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

На другі дзень зноў стаяў Іаан і два з яго вучняў;

Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

і, убачыўшы Ісуса, што праходзіў, ён кажа: Вось Ягнятка Божае.

And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

І два вучні пачулі, як ён гэта сказаў і пайшлі ўслед за Ісусам.

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

А Ісус, павярнуўшыся і ўбачыўшы, што яны ідуць услед, кажа ім: Што вы шукаеце? — Яны ж сказалі Яму: Равві (што ў перакладзе значыць «Настаўніку»), дзе Ты жывеш?

Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

Ён кажа ім: Ідзіце і ўбачыце. — Дык яны пайшлі і ўбачылі, дзе Ён жыве, і прабылі ў Яго той дзень; было каля дзесятай гадзіны.

He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

Андрэй, брат Сімана Пятра, быў адзін з двух, што пачулі гэта ад Іаана і пайшлі ўслед за Ім.

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

Ён знаходзіць спярша5 свайго брата Сімана і кажа яму: Мы знайшлі Месію (што ў перакладзе значыць: «Хрыстос»);

He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

[і ён] прывёў яго да Ісуса. Ісус, глянуўшы на яго, сказаў: «Ты — Сіман, сын Іаанаў6, ты будзеш называцца Кіфа (што перакладаецца «Пётр»7).

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

На другі дзень Ён захацеў пайсці ў Галілею і знаходзіць Філіпа. І кажа яму Ісус: Ідзі ўслед за Мною.

The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

А Філіп быў з Віфсаіды, з горада Андрэя і Пятра.

Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

Філіп знаходзіць Нафанаіла і кажа яму: Мы знайшлі Таго, пра Каго напісаў Маісей у законе і прарокі, Ісуса, Іосіфавага сына, з Назарэта.

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

І Нафанаіл сказаў яму: Ці ж можа быць з Назарэта што добрае? — Філіп кажа яму: Прыйдзі і паглядзі.

And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

Ісус убачыў Нафанаіла, што ішоў да Яго, і кажа пра яго: Вось сапраўды ізраільцянін, у якім няма хітрыкаў.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

Нафанаіл кажа Яму: Адкуль Ты мяне ведаеш? — У адказ Ісус сказаў яму: Перш чым паклікаў цябе Філіп, калі ты быў пад фігавым дрэвам, Я бачыў цябе.

Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Нафанаіл адказаў Яму: Равві, Ты Сын Божы, Ты Цар Ізраілеў.

Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

У адказ Ісус сказаў яму: Ты верыш, таму што я сказаў табе, што бачыў цябе пад фігавым дрэвам; болей за гэта пабачыш.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

І кажа яму: Сапраўды, сапраўды кажу вам: [з гэтага часу] ўбачыце раскрытае неба і Анёлаў Божых, якія ўзыходзяць і сходзяць да Сына Чалавечага.

And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
