This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.a It began

Начало Доброй Вести о Мессии Иисусе, Сыне Божьем:

just as the prophet Isaiah had written: “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way.b

Написано у пророка Исайи: "Вот, Я посылаю Своего вестника впереди тебя; он приготовит путь перед тобой".

He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the LORD’s coming! Clear the road for him!’c”

Голос кричащего: "В пустыне приготовьте путь Господу! Выпрямите тропы для него!"

This messenger was John the Baptist. He was in the wilderness and preached that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven.

И вот в пустыне появился Иоанн Креститель, который провозглашал водное погружение, символизирующее оставление грехов и возвращение к Богу ради получения прощения.

All of Judea, including all the people of Jerusalem, went out to see and hear John. And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River.

К нему выходили люди из всей Иудеи, а также все жители Иерусалима. Исповедуя свои грехи, они принимали от него погружение в реке Иордан.

His clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey.

Иоанн носил одежду из верблюжьего волоса и перепоясывался кожаным ремнём; питался саранчой и диким мёдом.

John announced: “Someone is coming soon who is greater than I am — so much greater that I’m not even worthy to stoop down like a slave and untie the straps of his sandals.

Он возвещал: "Вслед за мной идёт тот, кто могущественнее меня — я не достоин даже нагнуться и развязать его сандалии.

I baptize you withd water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!”

Я погружал вас в воду, а он погрузит вас в Святого Духа".

One day Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and John baptized him in the Jordan River.

Вскоре после этого из Назарета, что в Галилее, пришёл Иисус и принял погружение от Иоанна в реке Иордан.

As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Holy Spirit descending on hime like a dove.

Как только он вышел из воды, он увидел, что небеса раскрылись, и Дух сошёл на него, подобно голубю;

And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

след за тем раздался голос с небес: "Ты Сын Мой, любимый Мною. Я весьма доволен тобой".

The Spirit then compelled Jesus to go into the wilderness,

И в тот же миг Дух повёл его в пустыню,

where he was tempted by Satan for forty days. He was out among the wild animals, and angels took care of him.

и он находился в ней сорок дней, и Противник искушал его. Он был там с дикими зверями, и ангелы заботились о нём.

Later on, after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, where he preached God’s Good News.f

После того, как Иоанна бросили в темницу, Иисус пришёл в Галилею, возвещая Добрую Весть от Бога:

“The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”

"Время пришло, Божье Царство близко! Отвернитесь от своих грехов и обратитесь к Богу и верьте Доброй Вести!"

One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simong and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living.

Идя вдоль Галилейского моря, он увидел Симона и Андрея, брата Симона, забрасывающих в озеро сети — они были рыбаками.

Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”

Иисус сказал им: "Пойдёмте, следуйте за мной, и я сделаю вас ловцами людей!"

And they left their nets at once and followed him.

Они тотчас оставили сети и пошли за ним.

A little farther up the shore Jesus saw Zebedee’s sons, James and John, in a boat repairing their nets.

Пройдя немного дальше, он увидел Иакова, сына Зеведея и его брата Иоанна, чинящих сети.

He called them at once, and they also followed him, leaving their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired men.

Он тут же позвал их, и они оставили своего отца Зеведея в лодке с наёмными работниками, и пошли за Иисусом.

Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, he went into the synagogue and began to teach.

Они пришли в Капернаум, и в Субботу Иисус вошёл в синагогу и стал учить.

The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority — quite unlike the teachers of religious law.

Они удивлялись его учению, потому что он не наставлял их, подобно книжникам, но как имеющий власть.

Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evilh spirit cried out,

В их синагоге в тот момент находился человек, в котором был нечистый дух, и он закричал:

“Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!”

"Чего ты хочешь от нас, Иисус из Назарета? Ты пришёл погубить нас? Знаю, кто ты — Святой Божий!"

But Jesus reprimanded him. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” he ordered.

Но Иисус запретил нечистому духу: "Замолчи и выйди вон из него!"

At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him.

Вызвав у человека судороги, дух испустил пронзительный крик и вышел из него.

Amazement gripped the audience, and they began to discuss what had happened. “What sort of new teaching is this?” they asked excitedly. “It has such authority! Even evil spirits obey his orders!”

Все пришли в изумление и спрашивали друг друга: "Что это? Новое учение, а за ним стоит такая власть! Он приказывает даже нечистым духам, и те ему подчиняются!"

The news about Jesus spread quickly throughout the entire region of Galilee.

И весть об этом быстро разнеслась по всей области Галилеи.

After Jesus left the synagogue with James and John, they went to Simon and Andrew’s home.

Они вышли из синагоги и направились вместе с Иаковом и Иоанном в дом Симона и Андрея.

Now Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. They told Jesus about her right away.

Тёща Симона была больна и лежала в постели с сильным жаром, и они рассказали о ней Иисусу.

So he went to her bedside, took her by the hand, and helped her sit up. Then the fever left her, and she prepared a meal for them.

Он подошёл, взял её за руку и помог подняться. Жар исчез, и она стала помогать им.

That evening after sunset, many sick and demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus.

В тот вечер, после захода солнца, к Иисусу приводили больных и находившихся во власти бесов,

The whole town gathered at the door to watch.

и весь город толпился у дверей.

So Jesus healed many people who were sick with various diseases, and he cast out many demons. But because the demons knew who he was, he did not allow them to speak.

Он исцелял страдавших различными болезнями, и изгнал множество бесов, но не позволял бесам говорить, ибо они знали, кто он.

Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.

Рано утром, когда было ещё темно, Иисус поднялся, вышел и отправился в уединённое место помолиться там.

Later Simon and the others went out to find him.

Но Симон и бывшие с ним, пошли за ним;

When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.”

и, найдя его, сказали: "Все тебя ищут".

But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.”

Он отвечал: "Пойдёмте куда-нибудь, в другие селения поблизости. Мне нужно и там провозглашать весть, ведь для этого я и пришёл".

So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons.

И они ходили по всей Галилеи, проповедуя в их синагогах и изгоняя бесов.

A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said.

Один человек, поражённый отталкивающей кожной болезнью, подошёл к Иисусу и умолял его, стоя на коленях: "Если ты хочешь, можешь очистить меня".

Moved with compassion,i Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!”

Полный сострадания, Иисус протянул руку, коснулся его и сказал: "Да, хочу! Очистись!"

Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.

В тот же миг кожная болезнь оставила его, и он очистился.

Then Jesus sent him on his way with a stern warning:

Иисус отослал его, строго предупредив:

“Don’t tell anyone about this. Instead, go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy.j This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.”

"Смотри, никому не говори; лучше, для свидетельства людям, пойди и покажись священнику, и принеси жертву за своё очищение, о которой заповедал Моисей".

But the man went and spread the word, proclaiming to everyone what had happened. As a result, large crowds soon surrounded Jesus, and he couldn’t publicly enter a town anywhere. He had to stay out in the secluded places, but people from everywhere kept coming to him.

Но тот пошёл и стал рассказывать новость, ничего не утаивая; так что Иисус не мог больше открыто входить в город, а оставался в селениях, куда к нему отовсюду стекались люди.
