This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.a It began

Нача́ло Ева́нгелия Иису́са Христа́, Сы́на Бо́жия,

just as the prophet Isaiah had written: “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way.b

как напи́сано у проро́ков: «Вот, Я посыла́ю А́нгела Моего́ пред лицо́м Твои́м, кото́рый пригото́вит путь Твой пред Тобо́ю».

He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the LORD’s coming! Clear the road for him!’c”

«Глас вопию́щего в пусты́не: пригото́вьте путь Го́споду, прямы́ми сде́лайте стези́ Ему́».

This messenger was John the Baptist. He was in the wilderness and preached that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven.

Яви́лся Иоа́нн, крестя́ в пусты́не и пропове́дуя креще́ние покая́ния для проще́ния грехо́в.

All of Judea, including all the people of Jerusalem, went out to see and hear John. And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River.

И выходи́ли к нему́ вся страна́ Иуде́йская и Иерусалимля́не, и крести́лись от него́ все в реке́ Иорда́не, испове́дуя грехи́ свои́.

His clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey.

Иоа́нн же носи́л оде́жду из верблю́жьего во́лоса и по́яс ко́жаный на чре́слах свои́х и ел акри́ды и ди́кий мёд.

John announced: “Someone is coming soon who is greater than I am — so much greater that I’m not even worthy to stoop down like a slave and untie the straps of his sandals.

И пропове́довал, говоря́: идёт за мно́ю Сильне́йший меня́, у Кото́рого я недосто́ин, наклони́вшись, развяза́ть реме́нь о́буви Его́;

I baptize you withd water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!”

я крести́л вас водо́ю, а Он бу́дет крести́ть вас Ду́хом Святы́м.

One day Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and John baptized him in the Jordan River.

И бы́ло в те дни, пришёл Иису́с из Назаре́та Галиле́йского и крести́лся от Иоа́нна в Иорда́не.

As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Holy Spirit descending on hime like a dove.

И когда́ выходи́л из воды́, то́тчас уви́дел Иоа́нн разверза́ющиеся небеса́ и Ду́ха, как го́лубя, сходя́щего на Него́.

And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

И глас был с небе́с: Ты Сын Мой возлю́бленный, в Кото́ром Моё благоволе́ние.

The Spirit then compelled Jesus to go into the wilderness,

Неме́дленно по́сле того́ Дух ведёт Его́ в пусты́ню.

where he was tempted by Satan for forty days. He was out among the wild animals, and angels took care of him.

И был Он там в пусты́не со́рок дней, искуша́емый сатано́ю, и был со зверя́ми; и А́нгелы служи́ли Ему́.

Later on, after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, where he preached God’s Good News.f

По́сле же того́, как пре́дан был Иоа́нн, пришёл Иису́с в Галиле́ю, пропове́дуя Ева́нгелие Ца́рствия Бо́жия

“The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”

и говоря́, что испо́лнилось вре́мя и прибли́зилось Ца́рствие Бо́жие: пока́йтесь и ве́руйте в Ева́нгелие.

One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simong and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living.

Проходя́ же близ мо́ря Галиле́йского, уви́дел Си́мона и Андре́я, бра́та его́, заки́дывающих се́ти в мо́ре, и́бо они́ бы́ли рыболо́вы.

Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”

И сказа́л им Иису́с: иди́те за Мно́ю, и Я сде́лаю, что вы бу́дете ловца́ми челове́ков.

And they left their nets at once and followed him.

И они́ то́тчас, оста́вив свои́ се́ти, после́довали за Ним.

A little farther up the shore Jesus saw Zebedee’s sons, James and John, in a boat repairing their nets.

И, пройдя́ отту́да немно́го, Он уви́дел Иа́кова Зеведе́ева и Иоа́нна, бра́та его́, та́кже в ло́дке почи́нивающих се́ти;

He called them at once, and they also followed him, leaving their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired men.

и то́тчас призва́л их. И они́, оста́вив отца́ своего́ Зеведе́я в ло́дке с рабо́тниками, после́довали за Ним.

Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, he went into the synagogue and began to teach.

И прихо́дят в Капернау́м; и вско́ре в суббо́ту вошёл Он в синаго́гу и учи́л.

The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority — quite unlike the teachers of religious law.

И диви́лись Его́ уче́нию, и́бо Он учи́л их, как власть име́ющий, а не как кни́жники.

Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evilh spirit cried out,

В синаго́ге их был челове́к, одержи́мый ду́хом нечи́стым, и вскрича́л:

“Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!”

оста́вь! что Тебе́ до нас, Иису́с Назаря́нин? Ты пришёл погуби́ть нас! зна́ю Тебя́, кто Ты, Свято́й Бо́жий.

But Jesus reprimanded him. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” he ordered.

Но Иису́с запрети́л ему́, говоря́: замолчи́ и вы́йди из него́.

At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him.

Тогда́ дух нечи́стый, сотря́сши его́ и вскрича́в гро́мким го́лосом, вы́шел из него́.

Amazement gripped the audience, and they began to discuss what had happened. “What sort of new teaching is this?” they asked excitedly. “It has such authority! Even evil spirits obey his orders!”

И все ужасну́лись, так что друг дру́га спра́шивали: что э́то? что́ э́то за но́вое уче́ние, что Он и ду́хам нечи́стым повелева́ет со вла́стью, и они́ повину́ются Ему́?

The news about Jesus spread quickly throughout the entire region of Galilee.

И ско́ро разошла́сь о Нём молва́ по всей окре́стности в Галиле́е.

After Jesus left the synagogue with James and John, they went to Simon and Andrew’s home.

Вы́йдя вско́ре из синаго́ги, пришли́ в дом Си́мона и Андре́я, с Иа́ковом и Иоа́нном.

Now Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. They told Jesus about her right away.

Тёща же Си́монова лежа́ла в горя́чке; и то́тчас говоря́т Ему́ о ней.

So he went to her bedside, took her by the hand, and helped her sit up. Then the fever left her, and she prepared a meal for them.

Подойдя́, Он подня́л её, взяв её за ру́ку; и горя́чка то́тчас оста́вила её, и она́ ста́ла служи́ть им.

That evening after sunset, many sick and demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus.

При наступле́нии же ве́чера, когда́ заходи́ло со́лнце, приноси́ли к Нему́ всех больны́х и беснова́тых.

The whole town gathered at the door to watch.

И весь го́род собра́лся к дверя́м.

So Jesus healed many people who were sick with various diseases, and he cast out many demons. But because the demons knew who he was, he did not allow them to speak.

И Он исцели́л мно́гих, страда́вших разли́чными боле́знями; изгна́л мно́гих бе́сов, и не позволя́л бе́сам говори́ть, что они́ зна́ют, что Он Христо́с.

Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.

А у́тром, встав весьма́ ра́но, вы́шел и удали́лся в пусты́нное ме́сто, и там моли́лся.

Later Simon and the others went out to find him.

Си́мон и бы́вшие с ним пошли́ за Ним

When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.”

и, найдя́ Его́, говоря́т Ему́: все и́щут Тебя́.

But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.”

Он говори́т им: пойдём в бли́жние селе́ния и города́, что́бы Мне и там пропове́довать, и́бо Я для того́ пришёл.

So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons.

И Он пропове́довал в синаго́гах их по всей Галиле́е и изгоня́л бе́сов.

A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said.

Прихо́дит к Нему́ прокажённый и, умоля́я Его́ и па́дая пред Ним на коле́ни, говори́т Ему́: е́сли хо́чешь, мо́жешь меня́ очи́стить.

Moved with compassion,i Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!”

Иису́с, умилосе́рдившись над ним, простёр ру́ку, косну́лся его́ и сказа́л ему́: хочу́, очи́стись.

Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.

По́сле сего́ сло́ва прока́за то́тчас сошла́ с него́, и он стал чист.

Then Jesus sent him on his way with a stern warning:

И, посмотре́в на него́ стро́го, то́тчас отосла́л его́

“Don’t tell anyone about this. Instead, go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy.j This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.”

и сказа́л ему́: смотри́, никому́ ничего́ не говори́, но пойди́, покажи́сь свяще́ннику и принеси́ за очище́ние твоё, что повеле́л Моисе́й, во свиде́тельство им.

But the man went and spread the word, proclaiming to everyone what had happened. As a result, large crowds soon surrounded Jesus, and he couldn’t publicly enter a town anywhere. He had to stay out in the secluded places, but people from everywhere kept coming to him.

А он, вы́йдя, на́чал провозглаша́ть и расска́зывать о происше́дшем, так что Иису́с не мог уже́ я́вно войти́ в го́род, но находи́лся вне, в места́х пусты́нных. И приходи́ли к Нему́ отовсю́ду.
