Тогда он сел в лодку, снова пересёк озеро и пришёл в родной город.

And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.

Какие-то люди принесли ему парализованного мужчину, лежащего на подстилке. Когда Иисус увидел их веру, он сказал парализованному: "Смелее, сын! Твои грехи прощены".

And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

Увидев это, некоторые из книжников стали говорить друг другу: "Этот человек богохульствует!"

And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

Зная, о чём они думают, Иисус сказал: "Почему вы таите злые мысли в своих сердцах?

And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

Ответьте, что проще сказать: 'Твои грехи прощены' или: 'Встань и ходи'?

For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?

Но смотрите! Я докажу вам, что Сын Человеческий имеет на земле власть прощать грехи". И он сказал парализованному: "Встань, подними свою подстилку и иди домой!"

But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

И этот человек встал и пошёл домой.

And he arose, and departed to his house.

Когда люди увидели это, их охватил благоговейный страх и они произнесли благословение Богу, давшему такую власть людям.

But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

Идя оттуда, Иисус заметил сборщика налогов по имени Матфей, сидевшего в палатке для сбора налогов. Он сказал ему: "Следуй за мной!", и тот встал и последовал за ним.

And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

Когда Иисус обедал в доме, пришли многие сборщики налогов и грешники и присоединились к трапезе Иисуса и учеников.

And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

Когда же это увидели фарисеи, они спросили у учеников: "Почему ваш раби ест со сборщиками налогов и грешниками?"

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

Но Иисус услышал вопрос и ответил: "Во враче нуждаются не здоровые, а больные.

But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

Вы же пойдите и выясните, что значит: 'Я больше желаю сострадания, нежели жертвоприношения животных'. Ибо я пришёл призвать не праведников, а грешников!"

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

В следующий раз к нему подошли ученики Иоанна и спросили: "Почему мы и фарисеи часто постимся, а твои ученики не постятся вовсе?"

Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

Иисус сказал им: "Разве могут скорбеть гости на свадьбе, пока жених ещё с ними? Но придёт время, когда у них заберут жениха. Тогда они и станут поститься.

And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

Никто не латает старую одежду куском не севшей в стирке ткани, потому что такая заплата оторвётся от одежды и оставит после себя ещё большую дыру.

No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

Также не вливают молодое вино в старые мехи. А если влить, то мехи разорвутся, и вино прольётся, и мехи станут непригодными. Нет, молодое вино вливают в обновлённые мехи, и таким образом сберегается и то и другое".

Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

Пока он говорил, вошёл один начальник, встал перед ним на колени и сказал: "Моя дочь только что умерла. Но если ты придёшь и возложишь на неё руку, она будет жить".

While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

Иисус вместе со своими учениками поднялся и последовал за ним.

And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

Женщина, двенадцать лет страдавшая кровотечением, подошла к нему сзади и прикоснулась к ритуальной кисти на его хитоне.

And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

Она говорила себе: "Если только я смогу прикоснуться к его хитону, то исцелюсь".

For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

Иисус обернулся, увидел её и сказал: "Смелее, дочь! Твоя вера исцелила тебя". И она исцелилась в тот же миг.

But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Когда Иисус пришёл в дом к начальнику и увидел музыкантов с флейтами и множество народа в смятении,

And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,

он сказал: "Все выйдите вон! Девочка не мертва, но всего лишь спит!" И они насмехались над ним.

He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

Но после того, как все были выдворены наружу, он вошёл и взял девочку за руку, и она встала.

But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

Весть об этом разошлась по всей той области.

And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.

Иисус пошёл оттуда дальше, и двое слепых последовали за ним, крича: "Сын Давида! Пожалей нас!"

And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.

Когда он вошёл в дом, слепые подошли к нему, и Иисус сказал им: "Верите ли вы, что у меня есть власть сделать это?" Они ответили: "Да, господин".

And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

Тогда он прикоснулся к их глазам и сказал: "Пусть будет с вами по вере вашей",

Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

и их зрение восстановилось. Иисус строго предупредил их: "Смотрите, чтобы никто не знал об этом".

And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

Они же, невзирая на это, ушли и стали рассказывать о нём повсюду в тех окрестностях.

But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

Когда они шли, к Иисусу привели немого человека, находившегося во власти беса.

As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.

После того, как бес был изгнан, немой заговорил, и народ удивлялся. "Ничего подобного не происходило в Израиле", — говорили они.

And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

Но фарисеи сказали: "Он изгоняет бесов с помощью повелителя бесов".

But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.

Иисус обходил все города и селения, уча в их синагогах, проповедуя Добрую Весть о Царстве и исцеляя всякого рода болезни и немощи.

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Глядя на народ, он испытывал сострадание к людям, потому что они были опустошены и беспомощны, подобно овцам без пастуха.

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

Тогда он сказал своим ученикам: "Урожай богат, а работников мало.

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

Молитесь, чтобы Господин урожая выслал работников собирать Свой урожай".

Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
