Рано утром все руководящие священники и старейшины собрались вместе, чтобы обсудить, как им казнить Иисуса.

When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

Они заковали его в цепи, привели и отдали в руки правителя Пилата.

And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

Когда Иуда, предавший его, увидел, что Иисус осуждён, он пожалел о соделанном и возвратил тридцать серебряных монет руководящим священникам и старейшинам,

Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

говоря: "Я согрешил, предав невинного человека на смерть". "Какое это имеет значение для нас? — ответили они. — Это твои проблемы".

Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

Бросив серебро в святилище, он ушёл; затем пошёл и повесился.

And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Руководящие священники подобрали серебряные монеты и сказали: "Отдавать их в казну Храма запрещено, потому что эти деньги запятнаны кровью".

And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

Тогда они решили купить на них поле гончара и устроить на нём кладбище для иностранцев.

And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.

Вот откуда появилось название "Кровавое поле", употребляемое до сих пор.

Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

Тогда исполнилось сказанное пророком Иеремией: "И они взяли тридцать серебряных монет, цену, которую народ Израиля согласился заплатить за него,

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;

и купили на них поле гончара, как указал мне Господь".

And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me.

Тем временем, Иисуса привели к правителю, и правитель спросил его: "Ты ли царь евреев?". Иисус ответил: "Твои слова".

And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

Но когда его начали обвинять руководящие священники и старейшины, он не отвечал.

And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

Тогда Пилат сказал ему: "Разве ты не слышишь все эти обвинения, которые они предъявляют тебе?"

Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

Но к великому изумлению правителя, он не сказал ни единого слова в ответ на обвинения.

And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

По традиции в день праздника правитель отпускал на свободу одного заключённого, о котором попросит народ.

Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

В то время в заключении находился печально известный преступник по имени Варавва.

And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

И когда собрался народ, Пилат сказал им: "Кого вы хотите, чтобы я отпустил на свободу, Варавву или Иисуса, называемого 'Мессией'?"

Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

Он понимал, что его передали в его руки из зависти.

For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

Когда он сидел в суде, его жена послала ему передать: "Не трогай этого невинного. Этой ночью во сне я сильно мучилась из-за него".

When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

Но руководящие священники убедили народ просить освободить Варавву и казнить на стойке Иисуса.

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

"Которого из этих двоих вы хотите, чтобы я отпустил вам?" — спросил правитель. "Варавву!" — ответили они.

The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

Пилат сказал им: "Что же мне делать с Иисусом, называемым 'Мессией'?" Они все ответили: "Казни его на стойке! Казни его на стойке!"

Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

Когда он спросил: "За что? Какое преступление он совершил?", они закричали ещё громче: "Казни его на стойке!"

And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

Когда Пилат увидел, что так он ничего не добьётся, скорее назреет бунт, он взял воду, вымыл руки перед народом и сказал: "Мои руки чисты от крови этого человека; вы ответственны за его смерть".

When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

Весь народ ответил: "Его кровь на нас и на наших детях!"

Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

Тогда он отпустил Варавву, а Иисуса, после того, как его избили плетью, отдал на казнь.

Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Солдаты правителя привели Иисуса в здание войскового штаба и весь батальон собрался вокруг него.

Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

Они сорвали с него одежду и надели на него алую накидку,

And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

сплели венок из ветвей терновника и надели ему на голову, а в его правую руку вложили палку. Затем они становились перед ним на колени и насмехались: "Приветствуем тебя, Царь евреев!"

And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

Они плевали в него и били палкой по голове.

And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

Когда они перестали издеваться над ним, то сняли с него накидку, вновь надели на него одежду и повели казнить на стойке.

And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

По дороге они встретили человека из Киренеи по имени Симон и заставили его нести стойку казни Иисуса.

And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

Когда они пришли на место под названием Голгофа (что означает "место черепа"),

And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,

ему дали вино, смешанное с горькой желчью, но пригубив его, он не стал пить.

They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

Прибив его гвоздями к стойке, они разделили между собой его одежду, бросая жребий.

And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

Потом они сели охранять его.

And sitting down they watched him there;

Над головой его сделали надпись, указывающую на его вину: ЭТО ИИСУС, ЦАРЬ ЕВРЕЕВ

And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Затем рядом с ним на стойках были казнены два разбойника, один справа, другой слева от него.

Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

Проходившие мимо люди оскорбляли его, качая головой,

And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

и говоря: "Что ж, ты можешь разрушить Храм и восстановить его через три дня? Спаси же самого себя, если ты Сын Бога; сойди со стойки!"

And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

Подобным образом и руководящие священники глумились над ним вместе с книжниками и старейшинами,

Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

"Он спасал других, а самого себя спасти не может!" "Так это и есть Царь Израиля? Пусть же сойдёт со стойки! Тогда мы поверим в него!"

He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

"Он доверял Богу? Тогда пусть Бог спасёт его, если он нужен Ему! Ведь он говорил 'Я Сын Божий'!"

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

Даже разбойники, пригвождённые к стойкам рядом с ним, оскорбляли его.

The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

От полудня до трёх часов дня, вся Страна была окутана тьмой.

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

Примерно около трёх часов Иисус громко воскликнул: "Эли! Эли! Лама швактани? (Мой Бог! Мой Бог! Почему Ты покинул меня?)"

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Услышав это, некоторые стоявшие рядом сказали: "Он зовёт Илию".

Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

Тут же один из них побежал, взял губку, обмакнул её в уксус, закрепил на палке и подал её ему выпить".

And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

Остальные говорили: "Подождём! Посмотрим, придёт ли Илия спасти его".

The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

Но Иисус ещё раз громко воскликнул, и дух покинул его.

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

В этот момент занавес в Храме разодрался надвое сверху донизу и случилось землетрясение, и обрушились скалы.

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Также открылись гробницы и тела многих умерших святых вернулись к жизни;

And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

а после того, как Иисус воскрес, они вышли из гробниц и вошли в святой город, где многие видели их.

And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Когда римский офицер и бывшие с ним, наблюдавшие за Иисусом, увидели землетрясение и всё происходящее, ими овладел ужас, и сказали они: "Он и в самом деле был Божьим Сыном".

Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Там находилось много женщин, наблюдавших издали. Они следовали с Иисусом из Галилеи, помогая ему.

And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

Среди них были Мария Магдалина, Мария, мать Иакова и Иосифа, и мать сыновей Зеведея.

Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children.

Ближе к вечеру пришёл богатый человек из Аримафеи по имени Иосиф, который был учеником Иисуса.

When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:

Он обратился к Пилату и попросил тело Иисуса, и Пилат повелел отдать ему тело.

He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

Иосиф забрал тело, завернул его в чистые льняные простыни

And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

и положил его в своей гробнице, которую он не так давно вытесал в скале. Завалив вход гробницы огромным камнем, он ушёл.

And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

Мария Магдалина и другая Мария остались сидеть у гробницы.

And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.

На следующий день, после приготовления, руководящие священники и фарисеи вместе пошли к Пилату

Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,

и сказали: "Господин, мы вспомнили, как этот обманщик, будучи живым, говорил: 'Я воскресну по прошествии трёх дней'.

Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

Поэтому распорядись, чтобы гробница охранялась три дня, иначе придут его ученики, выкрадут его и скажут людям: 'Он восстал из мёртвых'. И будет последний обман хуже первого".

Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

Пилат ответил им: "Можете взять нужную вам стражу. Идите и охраняйте гробницу, как посчитаете нужным".

Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

Итак, они пошли и опечатали камень и поставили стражу, чтобы охранять гробницу.

So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
