Потому, так как вы были воскрешены вместе с Христом, ищите того, что в вышине, где пребывает Христос, сидя по правую руку от Бога.

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.

Обращайте разум к возвышенному, не к приземленному.

Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.

Потому что вы умерли, и ваша жизнь — сокрытая с Христом в союзе с Богом.

For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.

Когда будет явлен Христос, наша жизнь, тогда и вы будете явлены с Ним в славе.

And when Christ, who is youra life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.

Итак, смертельно подавите ваши составляющие, которые на земле: распутство, нечистоту, сладострастие, пагубное желание и жадность, которая есть идолопоклонство,

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

За это грядет гнев Бога на сыновей непокорности,

Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming.b

Каким образом и вы однажды поступали, когда жили в этом всём.

You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world.

Но теперь и вы отложите всё это: гнев, ярость, злобу, поношение, сквернословие из ваших уст.

But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.

Не лгите друг другу, так как вы уже совлекли с себя старую личность с её делами

Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.

И оделись в новую личность, обновляющуюся в полном знании по образу Того, кто сотворил её,

Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.

Где не может быть грека и иудея, обрезания и необрезания, чужеземца, скифа, раба, свободного, но всё и во всём — Христос.

In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile,c circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized,d slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.

Итак, как Божьи избранные, святые и возлюбленные, облекитесь в глубины сострадания, в доброту, смирение ума, кротость, долготерпение,

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

Терпя друг друга и прощая один другого, если кто-то на кого-нибудь имеет жалобу; как и Господь простил вас, так делайте и вы.

Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

А сверх всего того покройтесь любовью, которая есть совершенная связь.

Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.

И пусть будет судьей в ваших сердцах мир Христа, к которому вы и призваны были в одном Теле; и будьте благодарны.

And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

Пусть слово Христа обитает в вас в изобилии со всей мудростью: учите и увещайте друг друга псалмами, гимнами и духовными песнями, благодатью пойте в своих сердцах Богу.

Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

И всё, что вы делаете словом или делом, — всё делайте в имени Господа Иисуса, благодаря через Него Бога Отца.

And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Жёны, подчиняйтесь мужьям, как подобает в Господе.

Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord.

Мужья, непрестанно любите своих жён и не будьте к ним суровы.

Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.

Дети, будьте послушны родителям во всём, потому что это угодно Господу.

Children, always obey your parents, for this pleases the Lord.

Отцы, не раздражайте своих детей, чтобы они не унывали.

Fathers, do not aggravate your children, or they will become discouraged.

Рабы, слушайтесь во всём тех, кто по плоти ваши господа, не с показной услужливостью, как те, кто угождает людям, а с искренностью сердца, в страхе Господа.

Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything you do. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. Serve them sincerely because of your reverent fear of the Lord.

Что бы вы ни делали, старайтесь работать от души, как для Господа, а не для людей,

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Зная, что от Господа получите в воздаяние наследие. Вы служите Господу Христу.

Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.e

Потому что тот, кто поступает неправедно, получит то, что неправедно совершил, и без лицеприятия.

But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.
