Иисус на лодке переплыл море и вернулся в город, где жил.

Jesus climbed into a boat and went back across the lake to his own town.

К Нему принесли на койке паралитика. Иисус увидел в этом веру и говорит паралитику: «Не вешай голову, чадо! Прощаются твои грехи».

Some people brought to him a paralyzed man on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “Be encouraged, my child! Your sins are forgiven.”

Книжники подумали про себя: «Он кощунствует».

But some of the teachers of religious law said to themselves, “That’s blasphemy! Does he think he’s God?”

Читая их мысли, Иисус сказал: «Почему вы сразу начинаете думать плохое?

Jesus knewa what they were thinking, so he asked them, “Why do you have such evil thoughts in your hearts?

Что легче? Сказать: прощаются твои грехи? Или сказать: встань и иди?

Is it easier to say ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up and walk’?

Пора вам знать: есть на земле у Сына человеческого власть — прощать грехи». И говорит паралитику: «Встань! Бери койку и иди домой».

So I will prove to you that the Son of Manb has the authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!”

Паралитик встал и пошел домой.

And the man jumped up and went home!

Собралась толпа. Все в страхе славили Бога, давшего такую власть человеку.

Fear swept through the crowd as they saw this happen. And they praised God for giving humans such authority.

В другой раз Иисус шел и видит: сидит в своей конторке сборщик податей. Это был Матфей. Иисус говорит ему: «Иди за Мной». Матфей встал и пошел за Иисусом.

As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed him.

Потом Иисус с учениками был у Матфея в гостях. Собралось много грешников — сборщиков податей и прочих.

Later, Matthew invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners.

Фарисеи увидели это и говорят ученикам: «Почему ваш Учитель ест со сборщиками податей, со всякими грешниками?».

But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with such scum?c”

Иисус услышал и говорит: «Не здоровым нужен врач, а больным.

When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor — sick people do.”

Потрудитесь понять, что значит: “Милости хочу, а не жертвы.” Я пришел призвать не праведников, а грешников».

Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’d For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

К Нему подходят ученики Иоанна и спрашивают: «Почему и мы, и фарисеи часто постимся, а Твои ученики не постятся?».

One day the disciples of John the Baptist came to Jesus and asked him, “Why don’t your disciples faste like we do and the Pharisees do?”

Иисус ответил им: «Зачем гости жениха будут омрачать свадьбу? Жених-то еще тут. Придут дни — отнимут у них жениха, тогда они и будут поститься.

Jesus replied, “Do wedding guests mourn while celebrating with the groom? Of course not. But someday the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

Новой тканью старую ризу не латают: заплата из новой ткани сядет и еще больше раздерет ризу.

“Besides, who would patch old clothing with new cloth? For the new patch would shrink and rip away from the old cloth, leaving an even bigger tear than before.

И молодое вино в старые мехи не наливают. Старые мехи лопнут, тогда и вино разлилось, и мехи пропали. Нет, молодое вино наливают в новые мехи. Тогда и вино, и мехи целы».

“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved.”

Пока Иисус говорил, к Нему подошел старейшина, стал на колени и говорит: «Умерла моя дочь. Пойдем! Возложи на нее руки, оживи ее».

As Jesus was saying this, the leader of a synagogue came and knelt before him. “My daughter has just died,” he said, “but you can bring her back to life again if you just come and lay your hand on her.”

Иисус встал и пошел за ним. Ученики тоже пошли.

So Jesus and his disciples got up and went with him.

И тут одна женщина, которая двенадцать лет страдала кровотечением, подошла сзади к Иисусу и потрогала край Его ризы.

Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe,

У нее была такая мысль: «Мне бы только потрогать Его ризу — и ко мне вернется здоровье».

for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”

Иисус обернулся, увидел ее и говорит: «Не вешай голову, дочка! Тебя исцеляет твоя вера». Женщина сразу выздоровела.

Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

В доме старейшины Иисус видит людей с флейтами, горестную толпу...

When Jesus arrived at the official’s home, he saw the noisy crowd and heard the funeral music.

Иисус говорит: «Все уходите! Девочка не умерла. Она спит». Никто не поверил, что Он говорит всерьез.

“Get out!” he told them. “The girl isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.” But the crowd laughed at him.

Толпу все-таки выдворили. Иисус переступил через порог и взял девочку за руку. Девочка встала.

After the crowd was put outside, however, Jesus went in and took the girl by the hand, and she stood up!

Слух об этом разлетелся по всему краю.

The report of this miracle swept through the entire countryside.

Всю обратную дорогу за Иисусом шли двое слепых и просили: «Сжалься над нами, Сын Давидов!».

After Jesus left the girl’s home, two blind men followed along behind him, shouting, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”

Иисус заходит в дом, слепые — за Ним. Он спрашивает их: «Значит, вы верите, что Я могу это сделать?». Они говорят: «Да, Господи!».

They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?” “Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.”

Тогда Он потрогал им глаза и сказал: «Пусть будет вам по вашей вере!».

Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.”

И к ним вернулось зрение. Иисус строго предупредил: «Молчите! Никто не должен об этом знать».

Then their eyes were opened, and they could see! Jesus sternly warned them, “Don’t tell anyone about this.”

Но они обошли всю округу и везде о Нем рассказали.

But instead, they went out and spread his fame all over the region.

После них привели к Иисусу немого. Немой был одержим бесом.

When they left, a demon-possessed man who couldn’t speak was brought to Jesus.

Бес сразу убрался, и немой заговорил. Людей это потрясло. В толпе говорили: «Ничего подобного в Израиле до сих пор не было».

So Jesus cast out the demon, and then the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed. “Nothing like this has ever happened in Israel!” they exclaimed.

А фарисеи сказали: «Нет, бесов Он изгоняет не без помощи бесовского деспота».

But the Pharisees said, “He can cast out demons because he is empowered by the prince of demons.”

Иисус ходил по городам и весям и говорил в синагогах, провозглашал евангелие Царства и исцелял всякую болезнь, всякое нездоровье.

Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness.

Иисусу было жалко смотреть на людей: они, блуждая, выбились из сил, как овцы без пастуха.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

И Он сказал своим ученикам: «Жатвы много, а работников на жатве мало.

He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few.

Просите Господаря жатвы — пусть вышлет больше жнецов».

So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
