Пачатак Ева́нгелля Іісуса Хрыста, Сына Божага,

This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.a It began

як напíсана ў прарокаў: «вось, Я пасылаю Ангела Майго перад аблíччам Тваім, які падрыхту́е шлях Твой перад Табою».

just as the prophet Isaiah had written: “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way.b

«Голас таго, хто кліча ў пусты́ні: падрыхту́йце шлях Госпаду, про́стымі зрабіце сце́жкі Яму».

He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the LORD’s coming! Clear the road for him!’c”

З’явіўся Іаан, хры́сцячы ў пусты́ні і прапаведуючы хрышчэнне пакая́ння дзе́ля адпушчэ́ння грахоў.

This messenger was John the Baptist. He was in the wilderness and preached that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven.

І выхо́дзілі да яго ўся краіна Іудзейская ды Іерусалíмляне, і хрысцíліся ад яго ўсе ў рацэ́ Іардане, спавяда́ючыся ў грахах сваіх.

All of Judea, including all the people of Jerusalem, went out to see and hear John. And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River.

Іаан жа насіў вопратку з вярблю́джага воласу і скураны́ пояс на паяснíцы сваёй і еў акры́ды і дзікі мёд.

His clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey.

І прапаве́даваў, ка́жучы: ідзе за мною Мацнейшы за мяне, у Якога я нява́рты, нахілíўшыся, развязаць раме́нь абутку Яго;

John announced: “Someone is coming soon who is greater than I am — so much greater that I’m not even worthy to stoop down like a slave and untie the straps of his sandals.

я хрысцíў вас вадою, а Ён будзе хрысцíць вас Духам Святым.

I baptize you withd water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!”

І было́ ў тыя дні, прыйшоў Іісус з Назарэта Галіле́йскага і хрысцíўся ад Іаана ў Іардане.

One day Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and John baptized him in the Jordan River.

І калі выхо́дзіў з вады, убачыў адразу Іаан, што раскрываюцца нябёсы і Дух як голуб сыходзіць на Яго.

As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Holy Spirit descending on hime like a dove.

І голас быў з нябёсаў: Ты Сын Мой узлю́блены, Якога Я ўпадаба́ў.

And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

І адразу Дух вядзе Яго ў пусты́ню.

The Spirit then compelled Jesus to go into the wilderness,

І быў Ён там у пусты́ні сорак дзён, спакуша́ны сатаною, і быў са звярамі. І Ангелы служы́лі Яму.

where he was tempted by Satan for forty days. He was out among the wild animals, and angels took care of him.

Пасля ж таго, як узя́ты быў Іаан, прыйшоў Іісус у Галіле́ю, прапаве́дуючы Ева́нгелле Царства Божага

Later on, after John was arrested, Jesus went into Galilee, where he preached God’s Good News.f

і ка́жучы, што споўніўся час і наблізілася Царства Божае: пака́йцеся і веруйце ў Ева́нгелле.

“The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”

А ідучы́ каля мора Галіле́йскага, убачыў Сíмана і Андрэя, брата Сíманавага, якія закідвалі мярэ́жы ў мора, бо яны былí рыбаловы.

One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simong and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living.

І сказаў ім Іісус: ідзіце за Мною, і Я зраблю, што вы будзеце лаўца́мі людзе́й.

Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”

І яны адразу, пакінуўшы мярэ́жы свае, пайшлі ўслед за Ім.

And they left their nets at once and followed him.

І, прайшоўшы крыху́ адтуль, Ён убачыў Іакава Зевядзе́евага і Іаана, брата яго, як яны, таксама ў лодцы, ла́дзілі мярэ́жы;

A little farther up the shore Jesus saw Zebedee’s sons, James and John, in a boat repairing their nets.

і адразу паклíкаў іх. І яны, пакінуўшы бацьку свайго Зевядзе́я ў лодцы з работнікамі, пайшлі за Ім.

He called them at once, and they also followed him, leaving their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired men.

І прыходзяць у Капернау́м; і неўзаба́ве ў суботу ўвайшоў Ён у сінагогу і вучыў.

Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, he went into the synagogue and began to teach.

І здзіўля́ліся вучэнню Яго; бо Ён вучыў іх, як той, хто ма́е ўла́ду, а не як кніжнікі.

The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority — quite unlike the teachers of religious law.

І быў у сінагозе іхняй чалавек у духу нячыстым, і закрычаў ён,

Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evilh spirit cried out,

ка́жучы: пакінь, што́ Табе да нас, Іісусе Назаранíне? Ты прыйшоў загубíць нас; ведаю Цябе, хто Ты, Святы́ Божы.

“Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!”

Але Іісус забаранíў яму, ка́жучы: змоўкні і выйдзі з яго.

But Jesus reprimanded him. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” he ordered.

І дух нячысты, скалану́ўшы яго і ўскры́кнуўшы моцным голасам, выйшаў з яго.

At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him.

І жахну́ліся ўсе, так што пыталіся адзін у аднаго, гаворачы: што гэта́ за новае вучэнне, што Ён з ула́даю і духам нячыстым зага́двае, і яны слухаюцца Яго?

Amazement gripped the audience, and they began to discuss what had happened. “What sort of new teaching is this?” they asked excitedly. “It has such authority! Even evil spirits obey his orders!”

І разне́слася чутка пра Яго адразу па ўсіх ваколіцах Галіле́і.

The news about Jesus spread quickly throughout the entire region of Galilee.

І адразу, вы́йшаўшы з сінагогі, яны прыйшлі ў дом Сíмана і Андрэя з Іакавам і Іаанам.

After Jesus left the synagogue with James and John, they went to Simon and Andrew’s home.

А це́шча Сíманава ляжала ў гарачцы, і адразу кажуць Яму пра яе.

Now Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. They told Jesus about her right away.

І, падышоўшы, Ён падняў яе, узяўшы за руку́; і гарачка адразу пакінула яе, і яна прыслу́жвала ім.

So he went to her bedside, took her by the hand, and helped her sit up. Then the fever left her, and she prepared a meal for them.

А як вечарэ́ла і сонца зайшло, прыносілі да Яго ўсіх хворых і апанава́ных дэманамі.

That evening after sunset, many sick and demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus.

І ўвесь горад сабраўся да дзвярэй.

The whole town gathered at the door to watch.

І Ён ацаліў многіх, якія пакутавалі ад розных хвароб, і дэманаў многіх вы́гнаў, і не дазваляў дэманам гаварыць, бо яны ведалі, што Ён Хрыстос.

So Jesus healed many people who were sick with various diseases, and he cast out many demons. But because the demons knew who he was, he did not allow them to speak.

А раніцай, калі было яшчэ вельмі цёмна, Ён, устаўшы, выйшаў; і пайшоў у пустэ́льнае месца, і там маліўся.

Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.

І паспяша́ліся ўслед Яму Сíман і тыя, што былí з ім.

Later Simon and the others went out to find him.

І, знайшоўшы Яго, кажуць Яму: усе шукаюць Цябе.

When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.”

І кажа Ён ім: хадзе́м у бліжэйшыя вёскі і гарады, каб Мне і там прапаве́даваць; бо на тое Я і выйшаў.

But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.”

І Ён прапаве́даваў у сінагогах іхніх па ўсёй Галіле́і і дэманаў выганя́ў.

So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons.

І прыхо́дзіць да Яго пракажоны, просячы Яго і на калені па́даючы перад Ім, кажа Яму: калі Ты хочаш, можаш ачы́сціць мяне.

A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said.

Іісус жа, злíтаваўшыся над ім, працягнуў руку́, дакрану́ўся да яго і кажа яму: хачу, ачы́сціся.

Moved with compassion,i Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!”

І калі сказаў Ён, адразу сышла з яго праказа, і ён стаў чысты.

Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed.

І, звярну́ўшыся да яго сурова, Ён адразу адаслаў яго,

Then Jesus sent him on his way with a stern warning:

і кажа яму: глядзі, нікому нічога не гавары; а ідзі, пакажы́ся святару і прынясі за ачышчэнне тваё, што загадаў Маісей, дзе́ля све́дчання ім.

“Don’t tell anyone about this. Instead, go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy.j This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.”

А ён, выйшаўшы, пачаў шмат абвяшча́ць і распавяда́ць, так што Іісус ужо не мог адкрыта ўвайсці ў горад, а быў звонку, у пустэ́льных мясцінах. І прыхо́дзілі да Яго адусюль.

But the man went and spread the word, proclaiming to everyone what had happened. As a result, large crowds soon surrounded Jesus, and he couldn’t publicly enter a town anywhere. He had to stay out in the secluded places, but people from everywhere kept coming to him.
