Then Job answered and said:

Ѿвѣща́въ же їѡвъ, речѐ:

“How you have helped him who has no power! How you have saved the arm that has no strength!

комѹ̀ прилѣжи́ши, и҆лѝ комѹ̀ хо́щеши помога́ти; не семѹ́ ли, є҆мѹ́же мно́га крѣ́пость и҆ є҆мѹ́же мы́шца крѣпка̀ є҆́сть;

How you have counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

Комѹ̀ совѣ́тъ да́лъ є҆сѝ; не є҆мѹ́же ли всѧ̀ премѹ́дрость; Кого̀ пожене́ши; не є҆мѹ́же ли преве́лїѧ си́ла;

With whose help have you uttered words, and whose breath has come out from you?

Комѹ̀ возвѣсти́лъ є҆сѝ глаго́лы; дыха́нїе же чїе́ є҆сть и҆сходѧ́щее и҆з̾ тебє̀;

The dead tremble under the waters and their inhabitants.

Е҆да̀ и҆споли́ни родѧ́тсѧ под̾ водо́ю и҆ сосѣ́дми є҆ѧ̀;

Sheol is naked before God,a and Abaddon has no covering.

На́гъ а҆́дъ пред̾ ни́мъ, и҆ нѣ́сть покрыва́ла па́гѹбѣ.

He stretches out the north over the void and hangs the earth on nothing.

Простира́ѧй сѣ́веръ ни на че́мже, повѣ́шаѧй зе́млю ни наче́мже,

He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not split open under them.

свѧзѹ́ѧй во́дѹ на ѡ҆́блацѣхъ свои́хъ, и҆ не расто́ржесѧ ѡ҆́блакъ под̾ не́ю:

He covers the face of the full moonb and spreads over it his cloud.

держа́й лицѐ престо́ла, простира́ѧ над̾ ни́мъ ѡ҆́блакъ сво́й:

He has inscribed a circle on the face of the waters at the boundary between light and darkness.

повелѣ́нїе ѡ҆крѹжѝ на лицѐ воды̀ да́же до сконча́нїѧ свѣ́та со тмо́ю.

The pillars of heaven tremble and are astounded at his rebuke.

Столпѝ небе́снїи простро́шасѧ и҆ ѹ҆жасо́шасѧ ѿ запреще́нїѧ є҆гѡ̀.

By his power he stilled the sea; by his understanding he shattered Rahab.

Крѣ́постїю ѹ҆кротѝ мо́ре, и҆ хи́тростїю є҆гѡ̀ низложе́нъ бы́сть ки́тъ:

By his wind the heavens were made fair; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent.

верєи́ же небє́сныѧ ѹ҆боѧ́шасѧ є҆гѡ̀: повелѣ́нїемъ же ѹ҆мертвѝ ѕмі́а ѿстѹ́пника.

Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways, and how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”

Сѐ, сїѧ҄ ча҄сти пѹтѝ є҆гѡ̀: и҆ ѡ҆ ка́пли сло́ва ѹ҆слы́шимъ въ не́мъ: си́лѹ же гро́ма є҆гѡ̀ кто̀ ѹ҆вѣ́да, когда̀ сотвори́тъ;
