Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said:

Ѿвѣща́въ же валда́дъ саѵхе́йскїй, речѐ:

“How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and then we will speak.

доко́лѣ не преста́неши; пождѝ, да и҆ мы̀ возглаго́лемъ.

Why are we counted as cattle? Why are we stupid in your sight?

И҆ почто̀ а҆́ки четверонѡ́жнаѧ ѹ҆молча́хомъ пред̾ тобо́ю;

You who tear yourself in your anger, shall the earth be forsaken for you, or the rock be removed out of its place?

Пребы́сть тѝ гнѣ́въ. что́ бо; а҆́ще ты̀ ѹ҆́мреши, не населе́нна ли бѹ́детъ поднебе́снаѧ; и҆лѝ превратѧ́тсѧ го́ры и҆з̾ ѡ҆снова́нїй;

“Indeed, the light of the wicked is put out, and the flame of his fire does not shine.

И҆ свѣ́тъ нечести́выхъ ѹ҆га́снетъ, и҆ не произы́детъ и҆́хъ пла́мень:

The light is dark in his tent, and his lamp above him is put out.

свѣ́тъ є҆гѡ̀ тма̀ въ жили́щи, свѣти́лникъ же въ не́мъ ѹ҆га́снетъ:

His strong steps are shortened, and his own schemes throw him down.

да ѹ҆ловѧ́тъ ме́ншїи и҆мѣ҄нїѧ є҆гѡ̀, погрѣши́тъ же є҆гѡ̀ совѣ́тъ:

For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walks on its mesh.

вве́ржена же бы́сть нога̀ є҆гѡ̀ въ прѹ́гло, мре́жею да повїе́тсѧ:

A trap seizes him by the heel; a snare lays hold of him.

да прїи́дѹтъ же на́нь прѹ҄гла, ѹ҆крѣпи́тъ на́нь жа́ждѹщихъ:

A rope is hidden for him in the ground, a trap for him in the path.

скры́сѧ въ землѝ ѹ҆́же є҆гѡ̀, и҆ ѩ҆́тїе є҆гѡ̀ на стезѝ.

Terrors frighten him on every side, and chase him at his heels.

Ѡ҆́крестъ да погѹбѧ́тъ є҆го̀ болѣ҄зни: мно́зи же ѡ҆́крестъ но́гъ є҆гѡ̀ ѡ҆б̾и́дѹтъ во гла́дѣ тѣ́снѣмъ:

His strength is famished, and calamity is ready for his stumbling.

паде́нїе же є҆мѹ̀ ѹ҆гото́вано вели́ко.

It consumes the parts of his skin; the firstborn of death consumes his limbs.

Поѧдє́ны же да бѹ́дѹтъ плєсны̀ но́гъ є҆гѡ̀, кра҄снаѧ же є҆гѡ̀ да поѧ́стъ сме́рть.

He is torn from the tent in which he trusted and is brought to the king of terrors.

Ѿто́ржено же бѹ́ди ѿ житїѧ̀ є҆гѡ̀ и҆зцѣле́нїе, да и҆́метъ же є҆го̀ бѣда̀ вино́ю ца́рскою.

In his tent dwells that which is none of his; sulfur is scattered over his habitation.

Да всели́тсѧ въ хра́минѣ є҆гѡ̀ въ нощѝ є҆гѡ̀, посы҄пана да бѹ́дѹтъ лѣ́пѡтнаѧ є҆гѡ̀ жѹ́пеломъ:

His roots dry up beneath, and his branches wither above.

под̾ ни́мъ корє́нїѧ є҆гѡ̀ да и҆зсо́хнѹтъ, свы́ше же нападе́тъ пожа́тїе є҆гѡ̀.

His memory perishes from the earth, and he has no name in the street.

Па́мѧть є҆гѡ̀ да поги́бнетъ ѿ землѝ, и҆ (не) бѹ́детъ и҆́мѧ є҆гѡ̀ на лицы̀ внѣ́шнемъ:

He is thrust from light into darkness, and driven out of the world.

да ѿри́нетъ є҆го̀ ѿ свѣ́та во тмѹ̀:

He has no posterity or progeny among his people, and no survivor where he used to live.

не бѹ́детъ зна́емь въ лю́дехъ є҆гѡ̀, нижѐ спасе́нъ въ поднебе́снѣй до́мъ є҆гѡ̀:

They of the west are appalled at his day, and horror seizes them of the east.

но въ свои́хъ є҆мѹ̀ поживѹ́тъ и҆ні́и, над̾ ни́мъ воздохнѹ́ша послѣ́днїи, пе́рвыхъ же ѡ҆б̾ѧ̀ чѹ́до.

Surely such are the dwellings of the unrighteous, such is the place of him who knows not God.”

Сі́и сѹ́ть до́мове непра́ведныхъ, сїе́ же мѣ́сто невѣ́дѹщихъ бг҃а.
