But very early on Sunday morninga the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared.

А в первый день недели, едва рассвело, они пошли к гробнице и принесли приготовленные благовония; вместе с ними пришли и ещё некоторые (женщины).

They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.

Тут они увидели, что камень от входа в гробницу отвален,

So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus.

и, войдя в неё, не нашли там тела Господа Иисуса.

As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes.

Когда же они в недоумении рассуждали об этом, пред ними внезапно предстали двое юношей в сияющих одеяниях.

The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive?

Испугавшись, женщины пали ниц на землю, но те сказали им: почему вы ищете живого среди мертвых?

He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee,

Его нет здесь, ибо Он воскрес. Вспомните: ведь Он предупреждал вас об этом ещё в Галилее,

that the Son of Manb must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.”

когда говорил, что Сын Человеческий будет предан во власть грешных людей, будет распят и через три дня воскреснет.

Then they remembered that he had said this.

И вспомнили они слова Его.

So they rushed back from the tomb to tell his eleven disciples — and everyone else — what had happened.

Возвратясь от гробницы, они рассказали обо всём этом одиннадцати апостолам и всем остальным (ученикам Его).

It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and several other women who told the apostles what had happened.

А говорили им об этом Мария Магдалина, Иоанна, Мария — мать Иакова, и другие женщины, которые были вместе с ними.

But the story sounded like nonsense to the men, so they didn’t believe it.

Но те приняли слова их за вымысел и не поверили им.

However, Peter jumped up and ran to the tomb to look. Stooping, he peered in and saw the empty linen wrappings; then he went home again, wondering what had happened.

И только Петр, поднявшись, побежал к гробнице; заглянув вовнутрь, он увидел лишь лежащую в стороне плащаницу и возвратился назад, удивляясь происшедшему.

That same day two of Jesus’ followers were walking to the village of Emmaus, seven milesc from Jerusalem.

В тот же день двое учеников Его отправились в Эммаус — селение, расположенное в шестидесяти стадиях от Иерусалима,

As they walked along they were talking about everything that had happened.

и беседовали между собой обо всех этих событиях.

As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them.

И вот, когда во время беседы между ними возник спор, Сам Иисус приблизился к ним и пошёл вместе с ними,

But God kept them from recognizing him.

но словно пелена застилала глаза их, и они не узнавали Его.

He asked them, “What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?” They stopped short, sadness written across their faces.

Он же спросил их: что это вы, идя, с таким мрачным видом обсуждаете между собою?

Then one of them, Cleopas, replied, “You must be the only person in Jerusalem who hasn’t heard about all the things that have happened there the last few days.”

А один из них, по имени Клеопа, вместо ответа спросил у Него: Ты один из тех, кто пришёл в Иерусалим; разве Ты не знаешь, что произошло там в эти дни?

“What things?” Jesus asked. “The things that happened to Jesus, the man from Nazareth,” they said. “He was a prophet who did powerful miracles, and he was a mighty teacher in the eyes of God and all the people.

И Он спросил их: а что произошло? Тогда они рассказали Ему о том, что случилось с Иисусом Назарянином: Он был пророк Божий, прославляемый всеми людьми за чудеса и слова Его;

But our leading priests and other religious leaders handed him over to be condemned to death, and they crucified him.

но первосвященники и правители наши осудили Его на смерть, и Его распяли.

We had hoped he was the Messiah who had come to rescue Israel. This all happened three days ago.

Мы же не надеялись, что Он Тот, Кто должен был освободить Израиль. И вот теперь, на третий день после того, как это случилось,

“Then some women from our group of his followers were at his tomb early this morning, and they came back with an amazing report.

некоторые из наших женщин изумили нас: они были рано утром у гробницы,

They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive!

но не нашли там тело Его и, возвратясь, рассказали, что они и явление ангелов видели, которые утверждают, что Он жив.

Some of our men ran out to see, and sure enough, his body was gone, just as the women had said.”

Некоторые же из нас отправились к гробнице и нашли всё так, как и сказали женщины; Его же так и не видели.

Then Jesus said to them, “You foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures.

Тогда Он сказал им: о, сколь неразумны вы и бессердечны, если не верите всему тому, что предсказали пророки!

Wasn’t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?”

Разве не так должен был пострадать Христос, чтобы достичь славы Своей?

Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

И стал объяснять им свидетельства о Нём из всего Писания, начиная от Моисея и кончая последним из пророков.

By this time they were nearing Emmaus and the end of their journey. Jesus acted as if he were going on,

Когда же они приблизились к селению, в которое шли, Он хотел идти далее,

but they begged him, “Stay the night with us, since it is getting late.” So he went home with them.

но они стали удерживать Его, говоря: день уже склонился к вечеру; оставайся у нас. И Он решил остаться с ними.

As they sat down to eat,d he took the bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave it to them.

И вот, сидя вместе с ними за трапезой, Он взял хлеб, благословил и, преломив его, подал им.

Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared!

Тут у них будто пелена спала с глаз, и они узнали Его, но Он внезапно исчез.

They said to each other, “Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?”

И сказали они друг другу: разве не горели наши сердца, когда в пути Он заговорил с нами или когда разъяснял нам Писания?

And within the hour they were on their way back to Jerusalem. There they found the eleven disciples and the others who had gathered with them,

И тотчас поднявшись, они возвратились в Иерусалим, где застали одиннадцать апостолов, которые собрались вместе с остальными (учениками).

who said, “The Lord has really risen! He appeared to Peter.e”

и те возвестили им, что Господь действительно воскрес и явился Симону,

Then the two from Emmaus told their story of how Jesus had appeared to them as they were walking along the road, and how they had recognized him as he was breaking the bread.

а они рассказали собравшимся о том, что случилось в пути, и о том, как Он был узнан ими по преломлению хлеба.

And just as they were telling about it, Jesus himself was suddenly standing there among them. “Peace be with you,” he said.

Они ещё обсуждали всё это, как вдруг Он Сам появился среди них и сказал им: мир вам.

But the whole group was startled and frightened, thinking they were seeing a ghost!

Они же, охваченные страхом и ужасом, подумали, что видят призрак.

“Why are you frightened?” he asked. “Why are your hearts filled with doubt?

Но Он сказал им: отчего вы испугались? Что за мысли закрадываются в сердца ваши?

Look at my hands. Look at my feet. You can see that it’s really me. Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost, because ghosts don’t have bodies, as you see that I do.”

Посмотрите на руки и на ноги Мои; ведь это Я Сам. Дотроньтесь до Меня, и вы убедитесь в этом, ибо у призрака нет плоти и костей, а у Меня, как видите, есть.

As he spoke, he showed them his hands and his feet.

Сказав это, Он показал им руки и ноги.

Still they stood there in disbelief, filled with joy and wonder. Then he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

Но они от радости не могли придти в себя и всё ещё сомневались. Тогда Он спросил их: есть ли у вас здесь что-нибудь съедобное?

They gave him a piece of broiled fish,

Они предложили Ему кусок жареной рыбы и мед в сотах,

and he ate it as they watched.

и Он, взяв, на виду у них съел это.

Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

Затем Он сказал им: вот это и означали слова Мои, которые Я говорил вам, ещё будучи с вами: должно исполниться всё, что сказано обо Мне в законе Моисея, писаниях пророков и псалмах.

Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.

И когда Он вразумил их, как понимать Писания,

And he said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day.

то сказал: Христос должен был претерпеть страдания и через три дня воскреснуть из мертвых, как и сказано в Писании,

It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations,f beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’

чтобы во имя Его все народы, начиная от Иерусалима, были призваны к покаянию во оставление грехов.

You are witnesses of all these things.

Вы же свидетели всего этого.

“And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.”

Вот, Я передаю вам наказ Отца Моего: оставайтесь в Иерусалиме, доколе не осенит вас благодать свыше.

Then Jesus led them to Bethany, and lifting his hands to heaven, he blessed them.

Затем оттуда Он повел их к Вифании, где, воздев руки Свои, благословил их.

While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up to heaven.

И так, благословляя их, Он стал отдаляться от них и возноситься на небо.

So they worshiped him and then returned to Jerusalem filled with great joy.

А они, поклонясь Ему, в великой радости возвратились в Иерусалим

And they spent all of their time in the Temple, praising God.

и постоянно пребывали в храме, восхваляя и благодаря Бога. Аминь.
