Наконец, братья, молитесь о нас, чтобы слово Господа распространялось и прославлялось, как и у вас;

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.

и чтобы мы были избавлены от негодных и злых людей, поскольку не у всех есть вера.

And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith.

Но верен Господь, Который утвердит нас и сохранит от дурного.

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

Мы же верим Господу и вам, что наши наставления вы исполняете и будете исполнять.

We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command.

Пусть же Господь и впредь направит ваши сердца к любви Божьей и стойкости Христовой.

May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

Повелеваем же вам, братья, во имя нашего Господа Иисуса Христа, чтобы вы остерегались всякого брата, поступающего бесчинно и не по преданию, которое вы получили от нас.

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teachinga you received from us.

Ведь вы сами знаете, как нужно подражать нам, потому что мы не бесчинствовали у вас;

For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you,

и хлеба мы ни у кого не ели даром, но проводили дни и ночи в трудах и заботах, чтобы не обременить никого из вас;

nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you.

не потому, что не имеем власти, но чтобы представить вам себя как образец для подражания нам.

We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate.

Ибо, когда мы были у вас, дали мы вам такую заповедь: кто не хочет работать, тот пусть и не ест.

For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

Слышали мы, что некоторые бродят среди вас бесчинно, никакой работы не делают, но лишь попусту суетятся.

We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies.

Таковым приказываем и увещеваем их Господом Иисусом Христом, чтобы они работали молча и ели свой собственный хлеб.

Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat.

Вы же, братья, не унывайте, делая добро.

And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.

Если же кто-нибудь не послушает слова нашего в этом послании, отметьте его и не общайтесь с ним, чтобыон устыдился.

Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed.

Но не считайте его врагом, а вразумляйте как брата.

Yet do not regard them as an enemy, but warn them as you would a fellow believer.

Сам же Господь мира пусть дает вам мир всегда и во всём. Господь со всеми вами!

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

И вот приветствие от Павла, собственноручно мною начертанное, которое служит знаком подлинности во всяком моём послании. Пишу я так:

I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand, which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write.

Благодать Господа нашего Иисуса Христа да будет со всеми вами! Аминь!

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
