С вами, братья, нельзя мне было говорить как с духовными, а лишь — как с плотскими, как с младенцами, едва знающими Христа.

And I, brethren, have not been able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly; as to babes in Christ.

Вы питались у меня молоком. Взрослая трапеза вам было не под силу, да и теперь еще не под силу.

I have given you milk to drink, not meat, for ye have not yet been able, nor indeed are ye yet able;

Вы всё еще плотские. С вашей завистливостью, сварливостью, как не быть вам плотскими, не идти путем всего человеческого!

for ye are yet carnal. For whereas [there are] among you emulation and strife, are ye not carnal, and walk according to man?

Когда один говорит свое: «Я Павлов», а другой свое: «Я Аполлосов», — то не плотские ли вы?

For when one says, I am of Paul, and another, I of Apollos, are ye not men?

Кто Аполлос и кто Павел, если не просто слуги, благодаря которым вы поверили, как было дано Господом каждому?

Who then is Apollos, and who Paul? Ministering servants, through whom ye have believed, and as the Lord has given to each.

Я сажал, Аполлос поливал, а вырастил Бог.

I have planted; Apollos watered; but God has given the increase.

Первую роль играет не тот, кто сажает или поливает, а Бог. Он выращивает.

So that neither the planter is anything, nor the waterer; but God the giver of the increase.

Сажать или поливать — работа одинаковая. За нее каждый получит свою награду.

But the planter and the waterer are one; but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

Все вместе мы у Бога работники, а вы — Божья нива, Божье строение.

For we are God's fellow-workmen; ye are God's husbandry, God's building.

Пользуясь полученным от Бога дарованием, я, как искусный строитель, заложил фундамент. Дальше строит другой. Да только пусть строит осмотрительно!

According to the grace of God which has been given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, but another builds upon it. But let each see how he builds upon it.

Никто не может снова заложить фундамент. Он уже заложен — это Иисус Христос.

For other foundation can no man lay besides that which [is] laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Возводится ли кем на этом фундаменте постройка из золота, серебра, дорогого камня, дерева, сена, соломы, —

Now if any one build upon [this] foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw,

Что у кого получилось, выяснится с приходом Дня. В его огне пройдет проверку на качество вся работа.

the work of each shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare [it], because it is revealed in fire; and the fire shall try the work of each what it is.

Чья постройка уцелеет, тот получит награду.

If the work of any one which he has built upon [the foundation] shall abide, he shall receive a reward.

А чья сгорит в огне, тот потерпит ущерб. Правда, сам спасется, как погорелец.

If the work of any one shall be consumed, he shall suffer loss, but he shall be saved, but so as through [the] fire.

Разве для вас новость, что вы — Божий храм и что в вас живет Дух Божий?

Do ye not know that ye are [the] temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Кто опустошит Божий храм, того опустошит Бог, потому что свят Божий храм, то есть вы сами.

If any one corrupt the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.

Не обманывайтесь. Если кто из вас и думает, что умудрен веком сим, то надо ему сделаться глупым, чтобы быть мудрым.

Let no one deceive himself: if any one thinks himself to be wise among you in this world, let him become foolish, that he may be wise.

Мудрость мира сего — глупость перед Богом. Как написано: «Опутывает мудрых их же лукавством».

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written, He who takes the wise in their craftiness.

И еще: «Господь знает об умствованиях мудрецов, что они никчемны».

And again, [The] Lord knows the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.

И лучше, чтобы никто своего человека выше других не ставил, потому что и без того все ваше:

So that let no one boast in men; for all things are yours.

Будь то Павел, Аполлос, Кифа, да и все мироздание — жизнь, смерть, настоящее, будущее — все это ваше.

Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or [the] world, or life, or death, or things present, or things coming, all are yours;

Сами же вы — Христовы, а Христос — Божий.

and ye [are] Christ's, and Christ [is] God's.
