А пока они говорили к народу, приступили к ним священники и начальник храмовой стражи и саддукеи,

And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

досадуя на то, что они учат народ и возвещают в Иисусе воскресение из мертвых,

Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

и наложили на них руки и отдали под стражу до следующего дня, ибо был уже вечер.

And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

Многие же из слышавших слово уверовали. И достигло число мужей тысяч до пяти.

Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

И было на следующий день, что собрались в Иерусалиме начальники их и старейшины и книжники,

And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

и Анна первосвященник и Каиафа, и Иоанн и Александр, и все, кто были из первосвященнического рода,

And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

и, поставив их посредине, допрашивали: какой силой или каким именем вы это сделали?

And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

Тогда Петр, исполнившись Духа Святого, сказал им: начальники народа и старейшины,

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

если нам сегодня чинят допрос о благодеянии человеку больному, каким образом он спасен,

If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

то да будет известно вам и всему народу Израильскому, что именем Иисуса Христа Назорея, Которого вы распяли, Которого Бог воздвиг из мертвых, — Им стоит он перед вами здоровый.

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Он есть Камень, признанный негодным вами — строителями, оказавшийся во главе угла.

This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

И нет ни в ком другом спасения. Ибо под небом нет и иного имени, данного людям, которым надлежит нам быть спасенными.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Видя же дерзновение Петра и Иоанна, и поняв, что они люди некнижные и простецы, удивлялись и признавали их, что они были с Иисусом.

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

И видя, что человек, исцеленный, с ними стоит, ничего не могли возразить.

And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

И, приказав им выйти вон из синедриона, совещались друг с другом

But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

и говорили: что нам делать с этими людьми? Ведь то, что ими совершено замечательное знамение, это явно всем живущим в Иерусалиме, и мы не можем отрицать;

Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

но, чтобы оно еще больше не распространилось в народе, пригрозим им, чтобы они уже от этого имени не говорили никому из людей.

But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

И, призвав их, приказали совсем не говорить и не учить во имя Иисуса.

And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

Но Петр и Иоанн сказали им в ответ: рассудите, справедливо ли пред Богом, слушать вас больше чем Бога?

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

Ибо не можем мы не говорить о том, что видели и слышали.

For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

И, снова пригрозив, отпустили их, так и не находя повода наказать их, из-за народа, потому что все прославляли Бога за происшедшее.

So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

Ибо больше сорока лет было тому человеку, над которым произошло это знамение исцеления.

For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

Будучи отпущены, они пришли к своим и сообщили им всё, что им сказали первосвященники и старейшины.

And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

Они же, выслушав, возвысили голос к Богу и сказали: Владыко, Ты, сотворивший небо и землю, и море, и всё, что в них,

And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

сказавший чрез Духа Святого, устами отца нашего Давида, отрока Твоего: «Почему разъярились язычники, и народы замыслили праздное?

Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

Предстали цари земные, и начальники собрались вместе против Господа и против Помазанника Его».

The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

Собрались, ведь, воистину в городе этом на Святого Отрока Твоего Иисуса, Которого Ты помазал, Ирод и Понтий Пилат с язычниками и народами Израиля,

For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

чтобы сделать то, чему предопределила быть Твоя рука и совет.

For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

И теперь, Господи, взгляни на угрозы их и дай рабам Твоим со всяким дерзновением говорить слово Твое,

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

простирая руку Твою так, чтобы были исцеления, знамения и чудеса именем Святого Отрока Твоего Иисуса.

By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

И когда они помолились, поколебалось место, где они были собраны, и исполнились все Святого Духа и говорили слово Божие с дерзновением.

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Было же у множества уверовавших сердце и душа одна. И никто ничего из имения своего не называл собственным, но было у них всё общее.

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

И с великою силой свидетельствовали апостолы о воскресении Господа Иисуса, и благодать великая была на всех их.

And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Ибо не было и никого нуждающегося между ними. А все, кто были собственниками земель или домов, продавая, приносили цену продаваемого

Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

и полагали у ног апостолов. И раздавалось каждому смотря по нужде его.

And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

Иосиф же, прозванный апостолами Варнавой, что в переводе значит «сын утешения», левит, родом Кипрянин,

And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

так как у него была земля, продав, принес деньги и положил к ногам апостолов.

Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
