И когда подходил к концу день Пятидесятницы, были они все вместе.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

И вдруг раздался с неба шум, как бы от несущегося сильного ветра, и наполнил весь дом, где они находились,

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

и явились им разделяющиеся языки, как бы огненные, и почили по одному на каждом из них.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

И исполнились все Духа Святого и начали говорить иными языками, как Дух давал им вещать.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Жили в Иерусалиме Иудеи, благоговейные люди из всякого народа под небом.

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

Когда же прошел об этом слух, собралось много людей и пришли в смятение, потому что каждый из них слышал, как они говорили на его собственном наречии.

Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

Изумлялись все и дивились, говоря: вот все эти говорящие, разве они не Галилеяне?

And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

Как же мы их слышим каждый на своем собственном наречии, в котором мы родились:

And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

Парфяне, и Мидяне, и Эламиты, и живущие в Месопотамии, в Иудее и Каппадокии, Понте и Асии,

Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

Фригии и Памфилии, в Египте и в частях Ливии, примыкающих к Киринее, и пришедшие из Рима, как Иудеи, так и прозелиты,

Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

Критяне и Арабы — слышим, как они говорят на наших языках о великих делах Божиих?

Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

И все изумлялись и недоумевали, говоря друг другу: что бы это могло быть?

And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

А иные издеваясь говорили: они напились сладкого вина.

Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

Петр же, став с одиннадцатью, возвысил свой голос и возгласил им: мужи Иудейские и все, живущие в Иерусалиме! Да будет вам это известно и вслушайтесь в слова мои.

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

Ибо не пьяны они, как вы предполагаете: ведь только третий час дня.

For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

Но это то, что сказано чрез пророка Иоиля:

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

«И будет в последние дни, говорит Бог: изолью от Духа Моего на всякую плоть, и будут пророчествовать сыны ваши и дочери ваши, и юноши ваши будут видеть видения. И старцам вашим будут сниться сны,

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

и на рабов Моих и на рабынь Моих в те дни изолью от Духа Моего, и будут пророчествовать.

And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

И дам чудеса на небе вверху и знамения на земле внизу, кровь и огонь и клубы дыма.

And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

Солнце превратится в тьму, и луна в кровь, прежде чем придет день Господень великий и блистающий.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

И будет: всякий, кто призовет имя Господне, будет спасен».

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Мужи Израильские! Выслушайте эти слова: Иисуса Назорея, Мужа, Богом отмеченного для вас силами, и чудесами, и знамениями, которые сотворил чрез Него Бог среди вас, как вы сами знаете,

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

Его, по определению и предведению Божию преданного, вы, пригвоздив рукою беззаконных, убили.

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Бог Его воскресил, разрешив муки смерти, потому что Он не мог быть держим ею.

Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

Ибо Давид говорит о Нем: «Я видел Господа предо мною непрестанно, ибо Он по правую мою сторону, дабы я не поколебался.

For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

Оттого возрадовалось мое сердце и возликовал язык мой, даже и плоть моя пребудет в надежде,

Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

ибо Ты не оставишь души моей во аде и не дашь святому Твоему увидеть тление.

Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Ты поведал мне пути жизни, Ты исполнишь меня радости пред лицом Твоим».

Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Мужи братья! Да позволено будет сказать вам с дерзновением о патриархе Давиде, что он и скончался и погребен, и гробница его у нас до сего дня.

Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

Итак, будучи пророком и зная, что клятвою поклялся ему Бог от плода чресл его посадить на престоле его,

Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

— он, провидя, изрек о воскресении Христа, что и Он не оставлен во аде, и плоть Его не увидела тления.

He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Этого Иисуса воскресил Бог, чему все мы свидетели.

This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Итак, десницей Божией вознесённый, и приняв от Отца обещанного Духа Святого, Он излил то, что вы и видите и слышите.

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Ибо Давид не восшел на небеса, но он сам говорит: «Сказал Господь Господу Моему: сядь по правую сторону Мою,

For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

доколе Я не положу врагов Твоих в подножие ног Твоих».

Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

Итак, твердо знай весь дом Израилев, что и Господом и Христом сделал Его Бог, Того Иисуса, Которого вы распяли.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Они же, услышав, поражены были в самое сердце, и сказали Петру и остальным апостолам: что нам делать, мужи братья?

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

А Петр им сказал: покайтесь, и да крестится каждый из вас во имя Иисуса Христа для отпущения грехов ваших, и вы получите дар Святого Духа.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Ибо для вас обещание и для детей ваших и для всех дальних, кого ни призовет Господь Бог наш.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

И иными многими словами он свидетельствовал и увещал их, говоря: спасайтесь от этого извращенного рода.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

Итак, приняв слово его, они были крещены. И присоединилось в день тот душ около трех тысяч.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

И пребывали они постоянно в учении апостолов и в общении, в преломлении хлеба и в молитвах.

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Был же во всякой душе страх. И много чудес и знамений совершалось чрез апостолов.

And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

А все уверовавшие были вместе и всё у них было общее.

And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

И то, чем владели и что имели, они продавали и разделяли это всем, смотря по нужде каждого.

And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

И каждый день единодушно пребывая в храме, и преломляя по домам хлеб, они принимали пищу в веселии и простоте сердца,

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

хваля Бога и будучи в милости у всего народа. А Господь прибавлял к ним спасаемых каждый день.

Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
