Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,

Затем Иисус рассказал ученикам притчу, чтобы убедить их, что следует постоянно молиться и не падать духом.

saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor [a]regard man.

"В одном городе был судья, который не боялся Бога и не уважал людей.

Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, [b]‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’

Жила в том городе вдова, которая постоянно приходила к нему и говорила: "Защити меня от человека, который хочет меня разорить".

And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man,

Долгое время он отказывался; но спустя какое-то время сказал себе: "Бога я не боюсь, людей не уважаю;

yet because this widow troubles me I will [c]avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ ”

но из-за того, что эта женщина такая зануда, сделаю так, чтобы с ней поступили справедливо — иначе она будет всё время приходить и докучать мне, пока моё терпение не истощится!'"

Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said.

Тогда Господь добавил: "Обратите внимание, что говорит неправедный судья.

And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?

Так неужели Бог не вступится за свой избранный народ, который взывает к нему день и ночь? Медлит ли он?

I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

Говорю вам, что он поспешит встать на их защиту! Но когда придёт Сын Человеческий, найдёт ли он такую веру на земле?"

Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

И для тех людей, которые убеждены в своей праведности и свысока смотрят на окружающих, он рассказал следующую притчу:

“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.

"Два человека, фарисей и сборщик налогов, пошли в Храм помолиться.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men — extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.

Фарисей стоял и молился самому себе: "Боже! Благодарю тебя, что я не похож на всех остальных людей — скупых, бесчестных, безнравственных, как этот сборщик налогов!

I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’

Я пощусь дважды в неделю, отдаю десятину со всего дохода..."

And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’

А сборщик налогов, стоя вдалеке, не осмеливался даже взглянуть в небеса, но бил себя в грудь и говорил: "Боже! Смилуйся надо мной, грешным!"

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be [d]humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Говорю вам, что именно он пошёл домой оправданный Богом. Ибо всякий, кто возвышает себя, будет унижен, а тот, кто унижает себя, возвысится".

Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

Люди приводили к нему детей, чтобы он прикоснулся к ним, но ученики, видя это, не пускали их.

But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

Однако Иисус подозвал к себе детей и сказал: "Пусть дети приходят ко мне, не препятствуйте им, потому что Божье Царство принадлежит таким, как они.

Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

Да! Говорю вам, что тот, кто не примет Божье Царство, подобно маленькому ребёнку, не войдёт в него!"

Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

Один начальник спросил у него: "Добрый раби, что мне делать, чтобы приобрести вечную жизнь?"

So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.

Иисус сказал ему: "Почему ты называешь меня добрым? Нет никого доброго, кроме Бога!

You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ ”

Ты знаешь заповеди — 'Не прелюбодействуй, не убивай, не кради, не давай ложных показаний, почитай своего отца и мать…'" (Исход 20:12-13 (12-16), Второзаконие 5:16-20)

And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.”

Тот ответил: "Всё это я соблюдал с самого детства".

So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

Услышав это, Иисус сказал ему: "Тогда тебе недостаёт одного: продай всё, что имеешь, раздай вырученные деньги нищим, и получишь богатства на небесах. Потом приходи и следуй за мной!"

But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.

Однако, когда тот человек услышал это, он сильно расстроился, так как был очень богат.

And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!

Иисус взглянул на него и сказал: "Очень трудно богатому войти в Божье Царство!

For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

Легче верблюду пройти сквозь игольное ушко, чем богатому войти в Божье Царство!"

And those who heard it said, “Who then can be saved?”

Слышавшие его спросили: "Тогда кто же может спастись?"

But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

Он ответил: "Что невозможно людям, возможно Богу".

Then Peter said, “See, we have left [e]all and followed You.”

Петр сказал: "Смотри, мы покинули свои дома и пошли за тобой".

So He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,

Иисус ответил им: "Да! Говорю вам, что каждый, кто оставил дом, жену, братьев, родителей или детей ради Божьего Царства,

who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life.”

получит во много раз больше в мире этом и в грядущем веке вечной жизни".

Then He took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be [f]accomplished.

Затем, отозвав Двенадцать, Иисус сказал им: "Сейчас мы восходим в Иерусалим, где сбудется всё написанное пророками о Сыне Человеческом.

For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon.

Ибо его отдадут язычникам, и те будут глумиться над ним, оскорблять и плевать в него.

They will scourge Him and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.”

Затем, избив, они его убьют. Но на третий день он воскреснет".

But they understood none of these things; this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know the things which were spoken.

Однако они ничего не поняли из сказанного — смысл этого был сокрыт от них, и они не догадывались, о чём он говорил.

Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging.

Когда Иисус подходил к Иерихону, у дороги сидел один слепой и просил милостыню.

And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant.

Услышав, что мимо него проходит много людей, он поинтересовался, в чём дело;

So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.

И они сказали ему: "Иисус из Назарета идёт".

And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Он закричал: "Иисус! Сын Давида! Смилуйся надо мной!"

Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him,

Иисус остановился и велел привести к нему этого человека. Когда тот подошёл, Иисус спросил у него:

saying, “What do you want Me to do for you?” He said, “Lord, that I may receive my sight.”

"Что ты хочешь, чтобы я для тебя сделал?" Слепой сказал: "Господин, сделай так, чтобы я прозрел."

Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.”

Иисус сказал ему: "Прозри! Твоя вера исцелила тебя!"

And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

В тот же миг к нему вернулось зрение, и он пошёл за ним, прославляя Бога; и весь народ, увидев это, стал превозносить Бога.
