Когда вышел Израиль из Египта, дом Иакова — из народа иноплеменного,

When the Israelites escaped from Egypt — when the family of Jacob left that foreign land —

Иуда сделался святынею Его, Израиль — владением Его.

the land of Judah became God’s sanctuary, and Israel became his kingdom.

Море увидело и побежало; Иордан обратился назад.

The Red Seaa saw them coming and hurried out of their way! The water of the Jordan River turned away.

Горы прыгали, как овны, и холмы, как агнцы.

The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs!

Что с тобою, море, что ты побежало, и с тобою, Иордан, что ты обратился назад?

What’s wrong, Red Sea, that made you hurry out of their way? What happened, Jordan River, that you turned away?

Что вы прыгаете, горы, как овны, и вы, холмы, как агнцы?

Why, mountains, did you skip like rams? Why, hills, like lambs?

Пред лицом Господа трепещи, земля, пред лицом Бога Иаковлева,

Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.

превращающего скалу в озеро воды и камень в источник вод.

He turned the rock into a pool of water; yes, a spring of water flowed from solid rock.

Не нам, Господи, не нам, но имени Твоему дай славу, ради милости Твоей, ради истины Твоей.

Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness.

Для чего язычникам говорить: «где же Бог их»?

Why let the nations say, “Where is their God?”

Бог наш на небесах; творит всё, что хочет.

Our God is in the heavens, and he does as he wishes.

А их идолы — серебро и золото, дело рук человеческих.

Their idols are merely things of silver and gold, shaped by human hands.

Есть у них уста, но не говорят; есть у них глаза, но не видят;

They have mouths but cannot speak, and eyes but cannot see.

есть у них уши, но не слышат; есть у них ноздри, но не обоняют;

They have ears but cannot hear, and noses but cannot smell.

есть у них руки, но не осязают; есть у них ноги, но не ходят; и они не издают голоса гортанью своею.

They have hands but cannot feel, and feet but cannot walk, and throats but cannot make a sound.

Подобны им да будут делающие их и все, надеющиеся на них.

And those who make idols are just like them, as are all who trust in them.

Дом Израилев! уповай на Господа: Он наша помощь и щит.

O Israel, trust the LORD! He is your helper and your shield.

Дом Ааронов! уповай на Господа: Он наша помощь и щит.

O priests, descendants of Aaron, trust the LORD! He is your helper and your shield.

Боящиеся Господа! уповайте на Господа: Он наша помощь и щит.

All you who fear the LORD, trust the LORD! He is your helper and your shield.

Господь помнит нас, благословляет нас, благословляет дом Израилев, благословляет дом Ааронов;

The LORD remembers us and will bless us. He will bless the people of Israel and bless the priests, the descendants of Aaron.

благословляет боящихся Господа, малых с великими.

He will bless those who fear the LORD, both great and lowly.

Да приложит вам Господь более и более, вам и детям вашим.

May the LORD richly bless both you and your children.

Благословенны вы Господом, сотворившим небо и землю.

May you be blessed by the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Небо — небо Господу, а землю Он дал сынам человеческим.

The heavens belong to the LORD, but he has given the earth to all humanity.

Ни мёртвые восхвалят Господа, ни все нисходящие в могилу;

The dead cannot sing praises to the LORD, for they have gone into the silence of the grave.

но мы будем благословлять Господа отныне и вовек. Аллилуия.

But we can praise the LORD both now and forever! Praise the LORD!
