Дирижёру хора. На струнных инструментах. Маскиль Давида.

{To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments: an instruction. Of David.}

Услышь, Господь, помоги мне, мою молитву без внимания не оставь.

Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.

Прими мои слова, ответь, позволь обиды выразить мои.

Attend unto me, and answer me: I wander about in my plaint, and I moan aloud,

Враги мне оскорбления наносили, они угрожали, на меня крича. В злобе на меня они напали, все горести обрушив на меня.

Because of the voice of the enemy; because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in anger they persecute me.

Тоскою полно моё сердце, страх смерти подступил ко мне.

My heart is writhing within me, and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.

В объятиях страха я теряю силы.

Fear and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.

Я говорю: «Будь крылья у меня, я улетел бы словно голубь, обретя покой.

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away, and be at rest;

Я улетел бы далеко и оставался бы в пустыне. Селах

Behold, I would flee afar off, I would lodge in the wilderness; Selah;

Я скрылся бы от бурь и невзгод, храня моё уединение».

I would hasten my escape from the stormy wind, from the tempest.

Господь, угомони врагов, лиши их дара речи, от них насилие в городе и распри.

Swallow [them] up, Lord; divide their tongue: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.

День и ночь город полон страдания и горя.

Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof; and iniquity and mischief are in the midst of it.

Улицы полны насилия, повсюду зло творящие обманывают и грабят людей.

Perversities are in the midst thereof; and oppression and deceit depart not from its streets.

Я смог бы всё снести, если бы враги меня оскорбляли. Я мог бы спрятаться, если бы недруги напали на меня.

For it is not an enemy that hath reproached me -- then could I have borne it; neither is it he that hateth me that hath magnified [himself] against me -- then would I have hidden myself from him;

Но это ты, мой самый близкий друг, единомышленник мой, кто так со мной поступает.

But it was thou, a man mine equal, mine intimate, my familiar friend.

Мы долгой дружбой связаны, мы доверяли тайны сокровенные друг другу, ходили вместе в Божий храм.

We who held sweet intercourse together. To the house of God we walked amid the throng.

Пусть смерть настигнет неожиданно моих врагов за всё то зло, что они совершили. Хотел бы я, чтоб земля заживо поглотила их.

Let death seize upon them, let them go down alive into Sheol. For wickedness is in their dwellings, in their midst.

Как прежде призываю Бога, Он меня спасёт.

As for me, unto God will I call; and Jehovah will save me.

Господь всегда слышит меня, когда я к Нему обращаюсь: в часы заката, на заре и в полдень.

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray and moan aloud; and he will hear my voice.

Он жизнь мою сохранил среди сражений, защитил меня и в безопасности укрыл.

He hath redeemed my soul in peace from the battle against me: for there were many about me.

Господь, на троне восседающий навечно, услышит о врагах и покарает их. Селах Ведь они Бога не боятся и не хотят сойти с пути греха.

God will hear, and afflict them: he that is seated of old, (Selah) ... because there is no change in them, and they fear not God.

Бывшие друзья мои обещания свои нарушают; идут войной против друзей.

He hath put forth his hands against such as are at peace with him; he hath profaned his covenant.

Речь его приятна, слова успокоительны, но они опасны словно меч, и в его сердце прячется вражда.

Smooth were the milky [words] of his mouth, but his heart was war; his words were softer than oil, yet are they drawn swords.

Обрати свои страдания к Богу, Он поддержит тебя, Он смерти праведника не допустит.

Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee: he will never suffer the righteous to be moved.

О, Боже, сведи всех убийц и лжецов в могилу, не дай им прожить и половины отведённых дней. Я, как и прежде, верую в Тебя.

And thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days. But as for me, I will confide in thee.
