Закон, будучи лишь тенью будущих благ, а не самими этими благами, не может сделать совершенными тех, кто приходит, чтобы постоянно, из года в год приносить те же самые жертвы.

The old system under the law of Moses was only a shadow, a dim preview of the good things to come, not the good things themselves. The sacrifices under that system were repeated again and again, year after year, but they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship.

Иначе, разве не перестали бы их приносить, потому что совершающие это служение, будучи раз и навсегда очищены, не имели бы уже никакого сознания грехов?

If they could have provided perfect cleansing, the sacrifices would have stopped, for the worshipers would have been purified once for all time, and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared.

Но эти жертвы служат для того, чтобы из года в год напоминать о грехе,

But instead, those sacrifices actually reminded them of their sins year after year.

потому что кровь быков или козлов не способна устранять грехи.

For it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

Поэтому Христос, входя в мир, сказал: «Ни жертв, ни приношений Ты не захотел, но тело уготовил Мне.

That is why, when Christa came into the world, he said to God, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings. But you have given me a body to offer.

Всесожжения и жертвы за грех неугодны Тебе.

You were not pleased with burnt offerings or other offerings for sin.

Тогда Я сказал: вот, иду, как в начале книги написано обо Мне, исполнить волю Твою, Боже».

Then I said, ‘Look, I have come to do your will, O God — as is written about me in the Scriptures.’”b

Сказав прежде, что «ни жертв, ни приношений, ни всесожжений, ни жертвы за грех, — Ты не захотел и не радуешься им теx, что приносят по Закону», —

First, Christ said, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings or burnt offerings or other offerings for sin, nor were you pleased with them” (though they are required by the law of Moses).

Он после говорит: «Вот, Я пришел, чтобы исполнить волю Твою». Он отменяет первое, чтобы установить второе.

Then he said, “Look, I have come to do your will.” He cancels the first covenant in order to put the second into effect.

Именно по этой воле мы были раз и навсегда освящены принесением в жертву тела Иисуса Христа.

For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.

И вот каждый священник изо дня в день служит, вновь и вновь принося одни и те же жертвы — жертвы, которые никогда не смогут освободить от греха.

Under the old covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins.

Он же, принеся одну жертву, действенную вовек, воссел по правую сторону от Бога.

But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.

Ожидая того часа, когда Его враги будут повержены к ногам Его.

There he waits until his enemies are humbled and made a footstool under his feet.

Одною лишь жертвою Он сделал освящаемых совершенными вовек.

For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy.

Об этом нам свидетельствует и Святой Дух. Ведь сказано об этом:

And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so. For he says,

«Вот завет, который заключу Я с домом Израилевым после тех дней, — говорит Господь: вложу законы Мои в мысли их, и напишу их на сердцах их;

“This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day,c says the LORD: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”d

и грехов их, и беззаконий более не буду помнить».

Then he says, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”e

А где прощение грехов, там не нужно уже приносить жертвы за них.

And when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices.

Итак, братья, имея право входить во святилище благодаря Крови Иисуса Христа,

And so, dear brothers and sisters,f we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.

путем новым и действенным, который Он вновь открыл для нас через завесу, то есть тело Свое,

By his death,g Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.

и имея великого Священника над домом Божиим,

And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house,

давайте же приходить к Богу в полноте веры с искренним сердцем, очищенным от дурной совести, телом, омытым чистой водою;

let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

непоколебимо держась за то, на что уповаем, ибо верен Он, давший нам это обещание.

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

Давайте со вниманием относиться друг к другу, преуспевая в любви и добрых делах.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.

Не будем пренебрегать возможностью встречаться друг с другом, чем некоторые, к сожалению, пренебрегают. Будем ободрять друг друга, особенно видя, что тот день уже приближается.

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Потому что если мы, узнав истину, сознательно продолжаем грешить, то грехи эти не искупит уже никакая жертва.

Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins.

В таком случае нам остается лишь со страхом ожидать суда и яростного огня, уже уготованного для противников Бога.

There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies.

И если нарушившего закон Моисея на основании слов двух или трех свидетелей безжалостно предавали смерти,

For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

то сколь же более сурового наказания, как вам кажется, заслуживает тот, кто попирает ногами Божьего Сына, ставит ни во что кровь завета, которой был освящен, и оскорбляет Дух благодати?

Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.

Мы знаем Того, Кто сказал: «Месть принадлежит Мне, и Я воздам», и ещё: «Господь будет судить Свой народ».

For we know the one who said, “I will take revenge. I will pay them back.”h He also said, “The LORD will judge his own people.”i

Страшно оказаться в руках живого Бога!

It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Вспомните прежние дни, когда, после того как вы были просвещены, вам пришлось переносить тяжкие страдания,

Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ.j Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering.

когда вас выставляли на всеобщее поругание и гнали, когда вы принимали участие в тех, кто находился в таком же состоянии,

Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and were beaten, and sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things.

Вы проявляли сострадание к узникам; вы даже радовались, когда ваше имущество разграбляли, потому что вы знали, что у вас есть имущество лучшее, вечное.

You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail, and when all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever.

Итак, не теряйте же уверенности вашей, за которую вы будете щедро вознаграждены.

So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you!

Вам нужна стойкость, чтобы, исполнив волю Божию, получить обещанное;

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

ещё немного, совсем немного, и придет Тот, Кто должен прийти, — Он не будет медлить.

“For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.

«Праведный Мой верой жив будет, и если отступит, не будет довольна им душа Моя»

And my righteous ones will live by faith.k But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”l

Но мы не отступаем себе на погибель; мы верим для спасения души!

But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.
