Начальнику хора. Псалом Давида.

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.

Небеса проповедуют славу Божию, и о делах рук Его вещает твердь.

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament[a] shows [b]His handiwork.

День дню передаёт речь, и ночь ночи открывает знание.

Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge.

Нет языка, и нет наречия, где не слышался бы голос их.

There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard.

По всей земле проходит звук их, и до пределов вселенной слова их. Он поставил в них жилище солнцу,

Their [c]line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a [d]tabernacle for the sun,

и оно выходит, как жених из брачного чертога своего, радуется, как исполин, пробежать поприще:

Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.

от края небес исход его, и шествие его до края их, и ничто не укрыто от теплоты его.

Its rising is from one end of heaven, And its circuit to the other end; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

Закон Господа совершен, укрепляет душу; откровение Господа верно, умудряет простых.

The law of the Lord is perfect, [e]converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;

Повеления Господа праведны, веселят сердце; заповедь Господа светла, просвещает очи.

The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;

Страх Господень чист, пребывает вовек. Суды Господни — истина, все праведны;

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

они вожделеннее золота и даже множества золота чистого, слаще мёда и капель сота;

More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the [f]honeycomb.

и раб Твой охраняется ими, в соблюдении их великая награда.

Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.

Кто усмотрит погрешности свои? От тайных моих очисти меня

Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults.

и от умышленных удержи раба Твоего, чтобы не возобладали мною. Тогда я буду непорочен и чист от великого развращения.

Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of [g]great transgression.

Да будут слова уст моих и помышление сердца моего благоугодны пред Тобою, Господи, твердыня моя и Избавитель мой!

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my [h]strength and my Redeemer.
