Прославляйте Господа! Благодарите Господа за доброту Его; любовь Его беспредельна.

Praise[a] the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Неописуема великая любовь Господняя, безграничны должны быть наши похвалы Ему.

Who can [b]utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can declare all His praise?

Блажен, кто соблюдает справедливость, кто праведен в любые времена.

Blessed are those who keep justice, And [c]he who does righteousness at all times!

Так вспомни, Господи, меня, когда покажешь людям доброту Свою, когда спасать их будешь, и ко мне приди на помощь.

Remember me, O Lord, with the favor You have toward Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation,

Господь, позволь мне разделить с Твоим народом всё то хорошее, что делаешь Ты для него. Позволь мне быть счастливым с ним, вместе с Твоим народом восхвалять Тебя.

That I may see the benefit of Your chosen ones, That I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, That I may glory with [d]Your inheritance.

Грешили мы не менее отцов, творили беззаконие и несправедливость.

We have sinned with our fathers, We have committed iniquity, We have done wickedly.

Когда отцы наши в Египте были, Твоих чудес не поняли они. Не помня доброты Твоей, восстали у моря Красного против Тебя.

Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; They did not remember the multitude of Your mercies, But rebelled by the sea — the Red Sea.

Но Бог их спас ради Своего имени. Господь их спас, чтоб Свою силу показать.

Nevertheless He saved them for His name’s sake, That He might make His mighty power known.

Он повелел, и расступилось море, и Он провел как по суше их.

He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it dried up; So He led them through the depths, As through the wilderness.

Господь спас их, избавив от врагов.

He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

Покрыли воды их, и ни один не спасся.

The waters covered their enemies; There was not one of them left.

Тогда Господу поверили отцы и в своих песнях восхвалили Его имя.

Then they believed His words; They sang His praise.

Но вскоре позабыли, что Он сделал, советами Его пренебрегли.

They soon forgot His works; They did not wait for His counsel,

Но изголодались они в необитаемой пустыне и Господа решили испытать.

But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, And tested God in the desert.

И Он исполнил всё, о чём они просили, но также и болезни страшные наслал.

And He gave them their request, But sent leanness into their soul.

И позавидовали они тогда Моисею, а также святому священнику Господа Аарону.

When they envied Moses in the camp, And Aaron the saint of the Lord,

Земля разверзлась, поглотив Дафана и Авирона со всеми их людьми.

The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan, And covered the faction of Abiram.

Вдруг пламя вспыхнуло, и нечестивцы все сгорели.

A fire was kindled in their company; The flame burned up the wicked.

Они тельца возле Хорива сотворили и идолу золотому поклонились.

They made a calf in Horeb, And worshiped the molded image.

Израильтяне Господа святого променяли на изображение быка, жующего траву.

Thus they changed their glory Into the image of an ox that eats grass.

Они забыли спасшего их Бога, Который чудеса творил в Египте

They forgot God their Savior, Who had done great things in Egypt,

и дива сотворил в земле у Хама, а также у Красного моря совершил великие дела.

Wondrous works in the land of Ham, Awesome things by the Red Sea.

Господь хотел истребить народ, но Моисей, Его избранник, встав пред Ним, умолял Господа не уничтожать людей, и Бог оставил их в живых.

Therefore He said that He would destroy them, Had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, To turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them.

И в землю благостную, Ханаан, идти они не пожелали, Господним не веря обещаниям, что Бог поможет им победить врага.

Then they despised the pleasant land; They did not believe His word,

В шатрах своих они недовольство выражали и к Богу отказались в подчинение прийти.

But complained in their tents, And did not heed the voice of the Lord.

Тогда Он поднял руку и поклялся, что погибнуть их в пустыне Он заставит,

Therefore He raised His hand in an oath against them, To [e]overthrow them in the wilderness,

а их потомков победят народы и разбросают их по всей земле.

To [f]overthrow their descendants among the [g]nations, And to scatter them in the lands.

Тогда в Ваал-Фегоре они Ваалу поклонялись и ели жертвы, чтобы почтить умерших.

They joined themselves also to Baal of Peor, And ate sacrifices [h]made to the dead.

И Бог от этого разгневался на них, и разразилась среди них чума.

Thus they provoked Him to anger with their deeds, And the plague broke out among them.

Но Финеес молился Богу, и Господь смертельные болезни прекратил.

Then Phinehas stood up and intervened, And the plague was stopped.

Он праведными считал поступки Финееса, и поэтому люди запомнят его имя навсегда.

And that was accounted to him for righteousness To all generations forevermore.

У вод Меривы люди вызвали гнев Божий и на Моисея беды навлекли.

They angered Him also at the waters of [i]strife, So that it went ill with Moses on account of them;

И огорчили люди Моисея, и согрешил устами он своими.

Because they rebelled against His Spirit, So that he spoke rashly with his lips.

Они не уничтожили народы Ханаана, как им велел Господь,

They did not destroy the peoples, Concerning whom the Lord had commanded them,

а стали жить средь них, обычаи усвоив их.

But they mingled with the Gentiles And learned their works;

Поклонялись идолам они, что стало их ловушкой.

They served their idols, Which became a snare to them.

И жертвовали демонам и сыновей, и дочерей своих.

They even sacrificed their sons And their daughters to demons,

Невинную кровь проливали, кровь сыновей и дочерей, которых жертвовали идолам, и осквернили землю кровью той.

And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood.

Делами недостойными своими запачкали себя и осквернили.

Thus they [j]were defiled by their own works, And played[k] the harlot by their own deeds.

И потому на них разгневался Господь, отвергнув Своих избранных людей.

Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people, So that He abhorred His own inheritance.

Господь их передал другим народам, и стали ими управлять враги.

And He gave them into the hand of the Gentiles, And those who hated them ruled over them.

От угнетения врагов их жизнь невыносимой стала.

Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were brought into subjection under their hand.

Господь их много раз спасал, но от Бога отвернувшись, они погрязли в собственном грехе.

Many times He delivered them; But they rebelled in their counsel, And were brought low for their iniquity.

Но зов их слышал Он, когда они в несчастье были,

Nevertheless He regarded their affliction, When He heard their cry;

и Он смягчился от Своей любви, и вспомнил соглашение, данное им.

And for their sake He remembered His covenant, And relented according to the multitude of His mercies.

И тем народам, что пленили их, внушил Он сострадание.

He also made them to be pitied By all those who carried them away captive.

Спаси нас, Господи, Бог наш, собери нас и спаси от чужих народов. Тогда мы сможем прославлять Твоё святое имя, с радостью Тебя мы будем восхвалять.

Save us, O Lord our God, And gather us from among the Gentiles, To give thanks to Your holy name, To triumph in Your praise.

Во веки веков благословен Господь, Бог Израиля! Так пусть же прославляется Он вечно! Пусть весь народ скажет дружно: «Аминь!» Слава Господу!

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel From everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, “Amen!” [l]Praise the Lord!
