Когда они подходили к Иерусалиму и достигли Виффагии, селения у горы Масличной,1 Иисус послал вперед двух учеников,

Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to [a]Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

сказав им: «Идите в селение, которое перед вами. Вы сразу же найдете там ослицу на привязи и с ней молодого осла; отвяжите их и приведите ко Мне.

saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me.

А если кто скажет вам что-нибудь, отвечайте: „Они нужны Господу“, — и он тотчас отпустит их».2

And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”

Это произошло во исполнение сказанного через пророка:

[b]All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:

«Скажите дочери Сиона:3 „Вот Царь твой к тебе идет, духом Он кроткий, восседает на осле, на молодом осле, идущем рядом с матерью-ослицей, приученной к жизни под ярмом“».4

“Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ”

Ученики отправились и сделали всё так, как велел им Иисус.

So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them.

Они привели ослицу и молодого осла, положили на животных одежды свои; Иисус сел на них.

They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, [c]and set Him on them.

Многие из толпы, сопровождавшей Его, устилали дорогу своими одеждами, а другие устилали ее ветвями, которые срезали с деревьев.

And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road.

И толпы людей, шедших впереди и позади Него, восклицали: «Осанна5 Сыну Давида! Благословен Грядущий во имя Господне! В высях небесных осанна!»6

Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!”

Когда Иисус вошел в Иерусалим, весь город пришел в движение. «Кто это?» — спрашивали повсюду.

And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?”

Толпа отвечала: «Это пророк Иисус из Назарета Галилейского».

So the multitudes said, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.”

И вошел Иисус в Храм, и изгнал оттуда всех, кто продавал и покупал там, опрокинул столы менял и прилавки торгующих голубями.

Then Jesus went into the temple [d]of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.

«Написано, — сказал Он им, — дом Мой будет назван домом молитвы.7 Вы же делаете из него вертеп разбойников!»

And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ”

И подошли к Нему в Храме слепые и хромые, и Он исцелил их.

Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.

А первосвященники и книжники, увидев дивные дела, которые Он совершил, и детей, восклицающих в Храме: «Осанна Сыну Давида!», — возмутились

But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were [e]indignant

и сказали Ему: «Ты слышишь, что они говорят?» «Да! — ответил им Иисус. — Разве вы никогда не читали: „Из уст младенцев и грудных детей уготовил хвалу Ты Себе“»8?

and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?”

И, оставив их, ушел Он из города в Вифанию и там провел ночь.

Then He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, and He lodged there.

Возвращаясь ранним утром в город, Иисус почувствовал голод.

Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry.

Увидев при дороге смоковницу, Он подошел к ней, но кроме листьев ничего не нашел на ней и сказал дереву: «Так пусть никогда не будет плодов на тебе!» И смоковница тотчас засохла.

And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away.

Ученики, увидев это, удивились: «Что это вдруг сразу засохла смоковница?»

And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?”

«Воистину, — ответил им Иисус, — если будет вера у вас, и вы не усомнитесь, сделаете не только то, что произошло со смоковницей, но даже если этой горе скажете: „Поднимись и пади в море!“ — так и будет.

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.

И всё, о чем бы ни просили вы в молитве с верою, получите».

And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Иисус вошел в Храм, и, когда Он учил, подошли к Нему первосвященники и старейшины и спросили: «По какому праву9 Ты делаешь это? Кто дал Тебе эту власть?»

Now when He came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people confronted Him as He was teaching, and said, “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority?”

«Спрошу вас и Я об одном, — сказал им Иисус, — если вы ответите Мне, то и Я скажу вам, по какому праву делаю это.

But Jesus answered and said to them, “I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell Me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things:

Крещение, что Иоанн совершал, откуда оно — от Бога или от людей?» Они стали рассуждать между собой: «Если скажем: „От Бога“, Он спросит: „Почему же вы тогда не поверили ему?“

The baptism of John — where was it from? From heaven or from men?” And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say to us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’

Сказать: „От людей“ — опасно перед толпой, ведь все Иоанна считают пророком».

But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the multitude, for all count John as a prophet.”

«Мы не знаем», — ответили они Иисусу. И Он ответил им: «Я тоже вам не скажу, по какому праву делаю это».

So they answered Jesus and said, “We do not know.” And He said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.

«А что вы скажете об этом? У одного человека было два сына, и он, подойдя к первому, сказал: „Сын мой, ступай, поработай сегодня в винограднике“.

“But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go, work today in my vineyard.’

Тот ответил: „Не хочу“, но потом раскаялся10 и всё же пошел.

He answered and said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he regretted it and went.

Отец подошел к другому сыну и сказал ему то же самое. Сын ответил: „Иду, мой отец“, а сам не пошел.

Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, ‘I go, sir,’ but he did not go.

Кто из них выполнил волю отца?» «Первый», — ответили слушавшие. «Верно, что сборщики налогов и блудницы, — сказал им Иисус, — идут впереди вас11 в Царство Божие.

Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said to Him, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you.

Ибо Иоанн пришел показать вам путь к праведности,12 и вы не поверили ему, а сборщики налогов и блудницы поверили. Вы же и после того, как увидели это, не захотели изменить свое мнение13 и поверить ему.

For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward [f]relent and believe him.

Послушайте другую притчу. Жил один человек, у которого было имение, он насадил виноградник, обнес оградой его, вырыл в нем для давильни яму, построил сторожевую башню и, отдав его внаем виноградарям, уехал.

“Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country.

Когда подошло время для сбора винограда, он послал своих слуг к виноградарям взять причитающуюся ему долю урожая.14

Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit.

Но виноградари схватили слуг его: одного избили, другого убили, а третьего побили камнями.

And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another.

Послал он других слуг, и притом больше, чем прежде, но и с ними обошлись так же.

Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them.

Наконец, послал он к ним сына своего, думая: „К сыну моему они отнесутся с уважением“.

Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

Но виноградари, увидев сына, сказали друг другу: „Это наследник. Давайте убьем его и завладеем его наследством!“

But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’

Они схватили его, выволокли из виноградника и убили.

So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him.

Итак, когда придет хозяин виноградника, что сделает он тем виноградарям?»

“Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?”

«Расправится со злодеями, предав их злой смерти, — ответили они, — а виноградник передаст другим виноградарям, которые будут отдавать ему плоды в положенный срок».

They said to Him, “He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will [g]render to him the fruits in their seasons.”

Тогда Иисус сказал им: «Разве никогда не читали вы в Писаниях: „Камень, что отвергли строители, краеугольным стал камнем; Господом сделано это, и чудом кажется нам?“15

Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’?

Потому говорю вам: Царство Божие отнято будет у вас и передано народу, который приносит ожидаемые плоды.16

“Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.

[Каждый, кто упадет на этот камень, разобьется, а на кого он упадет, того обратит во прах»].

And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.”

Когда первосвященники и фарисеи услышали эти притчи, поняли они, что о них Он говорит,

Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they [h]perceived that He was speaking of them.

и хотели было схватить Его, но побоялись народа, который пророком Его почитал.

But when they sought to lay hands on Him, they feared the multitudes, because they took Him for a prophet.
