И вот, за шесть дней до Пасхи Иисус пришел в Бет-Анийя, где жил Лазарь, которого Он пробудил от смерти.

Jesus, therefore, six days before the Passover, came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.

Там для Него устроили ужин, и Марта прислуживала, а Лазарь был одним из сотрапезников.

So they made Him a supper there, and Martha was serving; but Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him.

Во время ужина Мариам, взяв фунт дорогого благовония из чистого нардового масла, умастила Иисусу ноги и вытерла их своими волосами, и дом наполнился ароматом.

Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

А один из Его учеников, Иуда из Карийота, который собирался его выдать, спросил:

But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, who was intending to betray Him, said,

— Почему это благовоние не продали за триста денариев, чтобы раздать деньги бедным?

“Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and given to poor people?”

Он спросил это не потому, что заботился о бедных, но потому, что был вором и, распоряжаясь денежным ящиком, часто присваивал поступления.

Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and as he had the money box, he used to pilfer what was put into it.

Иисус ему ответил: — Оставь её! Она сохранила это на день Моего погребения.

Therefore Jesus said, “Let her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of My burial.

Бедные с вами всегда, а Я — не всегда!

“For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.”

Узнав, что Иисус находится в Бет-Анийя, туда приходили толпы евреев, — не только ради Иисуса, а чтобы увидеть и Лазаря, которого Он пробудил от смерти.

The large crowd of the Jews then learned that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He raised from the dead.

Тогда первосвященники решили убить и Лазаря,

But the chief priests planned to put Lazarus to death also;

потому что многие евреи из-за Лазаря начинали верить в Иисуса.

because on account of him many of the Jews were going away and were believing in Jesus.

На следующий день огромные толпы пришедших на праздник людей услышали, что в Иерусалим идёт Иисус,

On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

взяли пальмовые ветви и, выйдя Ему навстречу, кричали:Осанна! Благословен входящий во Имя Господне. Благословен царь Израиля

took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, “Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel.”

А Иисус, найдя ослика, ехал на нём верхом, согласно сказанному в Писании:

Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written,

Отныне не бойся, моя дочь, Сион! Вот едет твой Царь, верхом на осленке.

“FEAR NOT, DAUGHTER OF ZION; BEHOLD, YOUR KING IS COMING, SEATED ON A DONKEY’S COLT.”

В тот миг ученики не сознавали этого, но когда Иисус был прославлен, они вспомнили эти слова и поняли, что с Ним произошло всё так, как сказано о Нём в Писании.

These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him.

Люди, видевшие, как Иисус позвал из гробницы Лазаря и пробудил его от смерти, повсюду об этом рассказывали.

So the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him.

Народ и вышел Его встречать, так как был наслышан об этом знаке, который Он сотворил.

For this reason also the people went and met Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign.

А фарисеи говорили друг другу: «Видите, мы ничего не добились. И вот, мир уже пошёл за Ним!»

So the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you are not doing any good; look, the world has gone after Him.”

Среди паломников, прибывших на праздник для поклонения, были и греки.

Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast;

Они подошли к Филиппу, выходцу из галилейской Бет-Цаиды, и обратились к нему: — Господин наш, мы хотим видеть Иисуса.

these then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”

Филипп сказал об этом Андрею, и оба они пошли и сказали Иисусу.

Philip came and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip came and told Jesus.

Иисус ответил: — Пришел час! Теперь Сын Человеческий будет прославлен!

And Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

Истинно, истинно говорю вам: если пшеничное зерно, упавшее в землю, не умрет, то так и останется лишь одним зерном, а если умрет, принесет богатый урожай.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

Кто любит жизнь, тот потеряет её, а кто ненавидит свою жизнь в этом мире, тот сохранит её для вечной жизни.

“He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.

Кто хочет Мне служить, пусть идёт за Мной, и где буду я, там будет и Мой слуга. Кто Мне служит, к тому будет благосклонен Отец.

“If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

Сейчас Моя душа содрогнулась. Так что же, сказать Мне: «Отец, избавь Меня от этого часа»? Но Я ведь для того и пришел, чтобы наступил этот час.

“Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.

Отец! Прославь Свое имя! Тогда с неба донесся Голос: «Я прославил Его и ещё больше прославлю».

“Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”

Люди, стоявшие в толпе и слышавшие голос, решили: «Это — раскаты грома». Другие сказали: — С Ним говорил ангел.

So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, “An angel has spoken to Him.”

Иисус ответил: — Не для Меня был голос, а для вас.

Jesus answered and said, “This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes.

Вот уже суд идёт над этим миром и его Властелин сейчас будет изгнан,

“Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.

а Я, когда вознесут Меня над землей, привлеку к Себе всех.

“And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.”

Этими словами Он сказал, какой смертью Он умрет.

But He was saying this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die.

Из толпы возразили: — Мы знаем из Закона, что Помазанник, придя, останется навечно. Почему Ты говоришь, что Сын Человеческий будет вознесен? Кто этот Сын Человеческий?

The crowd then answered Him, “We have heard out of the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; and how can You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

Иисус сказал: — Ещё недолго будет свет среди вас. Ходите, пока с вами свет, чтобы не настигла вас тьма, ибо ходящий во тьме не знает, куда идёт.

So Jesus said to them, “For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.

Пока свет с вами, верьте в свет — и будете сынами света. Сказав это, Иисус ушел и скрылся от них.

“While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light.” These things Jesus spoke, and He went away and hid Himself from them.

Хотя Он сотворил перед ними такое множество знаков, они в Него не поверили,

But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him.

чтобы исполнилось пророчество Исайи:Господи, кто поверил услышанному от нас? Кому открылась сила Господня?

This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet which he spoke: “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM HAS THE ARM OF THE LORD BEEN REVEALED?”

Они потому не могли поверить, что Исайя в другом месте сказал:

For this reason they could not believe, for Isaiah said again,

Он ослепил их и помутил у них разум, так что они не видят и ничего не понимают, и не могут к Нему обратиться, чтобы Я исцелил их.

“HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES AND HE HARDENED THEIR HEART, SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, AND BE CONVERTED AND I HEAL THEM.”

Исайя так сказал, потому что видел Его славу, и он сказал это от лица Иисуса.

These things Isaiah said because he saw His glory, and he spoke of Him.

Все-таки многие представители власти поверили в Него, но боясь фарисеев, не объявляли это открыто, чтобы их не отлучили от синагоги:

Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue;

людские похвалы оказались для них дороже Божественной славы.

for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God.

Тогда Иисус воскликнул: — Верующий в Меня не в Меня верит, а в Пославшего Меня,

And Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me.

и видящий Меня видит Пославшего Меня.

“He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me.

Я — Свет, пришедший в мир, чтобы всякий, кто верит в Меня, не оставался во тьме.

“I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.

Того, кто Мои слова слышит, но им не следует, буду судить не Я, ибо Я пришел не затем, чтобы мир судить, а затем, чтобы мир спасти.

“If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

Есть судья у отвергающего Меня и не принимающего Моих слов: в последний день его будет судить Мною сказанное слово.

“He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.

Ибо Я говорил не от Себя, но Сам пославший Меня Отец дал Мне повеление, что и как говорить,

“For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.

и Я знаю, что Его повеление есть вечная жизнь. Поэтому Я говорю только то, что поручил Мне Отец.

“I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me.”
