Иисус увидел, как богатые кладут приношения в храмовую сокровищницу.

And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

Увидел Он и неимущую вдову, положившую туда две медные монетки,

And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.

и сказал: — Говорю вам истину: эта бедная вдова внесла больше, чем все остальные!

And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:

Они жертвовали от избытка богатств, а она от бедности пожертвовала всё, что имеет.

For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

Когда некоторые из учеников Иисуса восхищались Храмом с его прекрасными камнями и приношениями, Иисус сказал:

And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,

— Придет время, когда от всего, что вы видите, не останется камня на камне. Все будет разрушено.

As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Его спросили: — Учитель, когда это случится? Какое знамение возвестит нам об этом?

And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

Он ответил: — Остерегайтесь, как бы вас не ввели в заблуждение. Многие, используя Мое имя, придут со словами «это я» и «время настало». Не следуйте за ними!

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

А когда услышите о войнах и смутах, не удивляйтесь: это начало, но далеко не конец.

But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

Затем Он сказал им: — Поднимется народ на народ и царство на царство.

Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

Будут землетрясения, болезни и голод, великие и страшные знамения с неба.

And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Но перед этим вас будут хватать и преследовать, отдавать в синагоги и бросать тюрьмы, отводить на суд царей и наместников за имя Мое.

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

И вы будете свидетельствовать обо Мне.

And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

Не готовьте заранее речи в свою защиту;

Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:

Я наделю вас таким красноречием и мудростью, что вам не сможет противостоять ни один противник.

For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

От вас отрекутся родители, братья, родные, друзья, а некоторые из вас будут преданы казни.

And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.

Из-за Меня все будут вас ненавидеть,

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

но даже волос не упадет у вас с головы.

But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

Благодаря стойкости вы спасетесь.

In your patience possess ye your souls.

Когда увидите Иерусалим осажденным, знайте: настал час его разорения.

And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Тогда пусть люди спасаются из Иудеи в горы. Кто в столице, пусть бежит из неё, а кто вне её, тот пусть в неё не входит,

Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

ибо настало время возмездия, дабы сбылось все сказанное в Писании.

For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Горе тогда беременным и кормящим, ибо великие бедствия придут на эту землю и гнев Божий обрушится на этот народ.

But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

Одни погибнут от меча, других уведут в плен на чужбину, а Иерусалим будут топтать иноверцы, пока не кончится отведённый им срок.

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Будут знаки на солнце, луне и звездах, а на земле народы придут в смятение от рева и грохота волн морских.

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Люди оцепенеют от страха в ожидании того, что вскоре постигнет мир, ибо всколыхнутся силы небесные.

Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

И тогда все увидят: идет Сын Человеческий в облаке, с силой и великой славой.

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Когда всё это начнет сбываться, воспряньте и поднимите голову, ибо спасение ваше близко.

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Он рассказал им такую притчу: — Взгляните на смоковницу и на другие деревья.

And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

Когда на них распускаются почки, вам ясно, что скоро наступит лето.

When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

Так же, когда увидите, что все это сбывается, знайте, что Царство Божье близко.

So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

Говорю вам истину: ещё не уйдет поколение ваше, как всё это случится.

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

Земля и небо исчезнут, но слова Мои останутся.

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Смотрите же, не отупляйте себя разгулом, пьянством и повседневными хлопотами, чтобы день этот не застал вас врасплох, не стал для вас западнёй.

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

Он придет для всех жителей земли!

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Бодрствуйте и постоянно молитесь о том, чтобы хватило вам сил пройти через всё, что должно случиться, и предстать пред Сыном Человеческим.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Днем Иисус проповедовал в Храме, а ночевать уходил на Масличную гору.

And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.

С утра народ спешил в Храм, чтобы послушать Его.

And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
