Все участники совета встали и повели Иисуса к Пилату.

Then the whole multitude of them arose and led Him to Pilate.

Они принялись обвинять Иисуса, говоря: — Этот человек подрывает наши обычаи. Он против уплаты податей Цезарю и объявляет Себя Помазанником, то есть царем.

And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this fellow perverting [a]the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ, a King.”

Пилат спросил Его: — Ты действительно царь иудейский? Иисус ответил: — Это твои слова.

Then Pilate asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?” He answered him and said, “It is as you say.”

Пилат сказал первосвященникам и народу: — Я не нахожу за этим человеком никакой вины.

So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no fault in this Man.”

Но они настаивали: — Он сеет своей проповедью смуту по всей Иудее. Мало Ему Галилеи, теперь Он пришел и сюда!

But they were the more fierce, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place.”

Услышав это, Пилат спросил, действительно ли Иисус галилеянин.

When Pilate heard [b]of Galilee, he asked if the Man were a Galilean.

И, узнав, что Он из владений Ирода, отослал Его к Ироду, который в те дни тоже был в Иерусалиме.

And as soon as he knew that He belonged to Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time.

Увидя Иисуса, Ирод очень обрадовался, так как давно искал встречи с Ним и, будучи о Нём много наслышан, надеялся увидеть от Него какое-нибудь чудо.

Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him.

Он долго расспрашивал Иисуса, но Тот молчал.

Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing.

Между тем первосвященники и книжники, стоявшие рядом, яростно Его обвиняли.

And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him.

Тогда Ирод со своими воинами стал издеваться над Иисусом и, смеха ради облачив Его в роскошный наряд, отослал Его обратно к Пилату.

Then Herod, with his [c]men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate.

С того дня Ирод и Пилат подружились, а раньше они враждовали.

That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other.

Пилат, созвав первосвященников, старейшин и народ,

Then Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people,

объявил им: — Вы привели ко мне этого человека как виновного в подстрекательстве к мятежу. Я допросил Его в вашем присутствии и не нашел за Ним преступления, в котором вы Его обвиняете.

said to them, “You have brought this Man to me, as one who misleads the people. And indeed, having examined Him in your presence, I have found no fault in this Man concerning those things of which you accuse Him;

Не нашел за Ним вины и Ирод, а потому отослал Его к нам обратно. Итак, Его не за что приговаривать к смерти.

no, neither did Herod, for [d]I sent you back to him; and indeed nothing deserving of death has been done by Him.

Я велю бичевать Его, а затем отпущу.

I will therefore chastise Him and release Him”

(for[e] it was necessary for him to release one to them at the feast).

Тут все как один закричали: — Смерть Ему! Отпусти нам лучше Бар-Аббу.

And they all cried out at once, saying, “Away with this Man, and release to us Barabbas” —

Бар-Абба этот был арестован за подстрекательство к беспорядкам в городе и за убийство.

who had been thrown into prison for a certain rebellion made in the city, and for murder.

Пилат, желая отпустить Иисуса, обратился к ним снова,

Pilate, therefore, wishing to release Jesus, again called out to them.

но они кричали: — Распни, распни Его!

But they shouted, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!”

Пилат в третий раз сказал им: — Ну что Он сделал плохого? У меня нет оснований Его казнить. Я велю бичевать Его, а затем отпущу.

Then he said to them the third time, “Why, what evil has He done? I have found no reason for death in Him. I will therefore chastise Him and let Him go.”

Но они стояли на своем, с криками требуя, чтобы Иисуса распяли, и в конце концов они этого добились.

But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And the voices of these men [f]and of the chief priests prevailed.

Пилат согласился исполнить их требование.

So Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they requested.

Он освободил арестованного за мятеж и убийство, а Иисуса отдал в их полную власть.

And he released [g]to them the one they requested, who for rebellion and murder had been thrown into prison; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

Когда солдаты вели Его на казнь, нести за Ним крест они заставили случайного прохожего, возвращавшегося с поля, некоего Симона из Кирены.

Now as they led Him away, they laid hold of a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, who was coming from the country, and on him they laid the cross that he might bear it after Jesus.

Вслед за Иисусом шла большая толпа, и женщины рыдали и плакали о Нём.

And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also mourned and lamented Him.

Иисус обернулся к ним и сказал: — Не плачьте обо Мне, женщины Иерусалима, плачьте о себе и о детях своих.

But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

Близится время, когда вы скажете: «Счастливы бездетные женщины, которые никогда не рожали и ни разу не кормили грудью!»

For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!’

Тогда горам скажут «обвалитесь на нас!» и холмам скажут «обрушьтесь на нас!»

Then they will begin ‘to say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!” ’

Если так поступают с зелёным деревом, то как же обойдутся с засохшим?

For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?”

Вместе с Ним вели на казнь и двух преступников.

There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death.

Придя на место, называемое Череп, они распяли там всех троих: Его посредине, а справа и слева — преступников.

And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left.

Иисус говорил: — Отец, прости их, они не понимают, что делают! Бросая жребий, они делили одежды Его.

[h]Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots.

Народ, стоявший вокруг, смотрел, а старейшины, потешаясь над Иисусом, говорили: — Он спасал других, так пусть спасет и себя, если Он избранник и Помазанник Божий!

And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.”

Измывались над Ним и солдаты. Они предлагали Ему прокисшее вино

The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine,

и спрашивали: — Что же Ты не спасешь себя, царь иудейский?

and saying, “If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself.”

Над Ним висела дощечка с надписью: «Это царь иудейский».

And an inscription also was [i]written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Один из распятых преступников осыпал Его бранью и говорил: — Ты ведь Помазанник! Спаси же себя и нас!

Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, [j]“If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”

Но другой преступник упрекнул его: — Побойся Бога! Ты ведь сам на кресте.

But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?

Мы-то терпим казнь по заслугам, а за Ним нет никакой вины.

And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.”

И ещё он сказал: — Иисус, не забудь обо мне, когда придёшь в Царство Своё!

Then he said [k]to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

Иисус ответил: — Обещаю тебе, сегодня же ты будешь со Мной в раю.

And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Уже близился полдень, как вдруг над землей сгустилась тьма. Так было до трех часов пополудни,

Now it [l]was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

из-за затмения солнца. И завеса в Храме разорвалась пополам.

Then the sun was [m]darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in [n]two.

Иисус громко вскричал: — Отец, Тебе Я вручаю дух Мой! С этими словами Он скончался.

And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.

Центурион, видевший это, восславил Бога и сказал: — Воистину, это был праведник.

So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous Man!”

Люди, пришедшие посмотреть на казнь, уходили, ударяя себя в грудь.

And the whole crowd who came together to that sight, seeing what had been done, beat their breasts and returned.

Те же, кто знал Иисуса, и женщины, сопровождавшие Его от Галилеи, глядели на это, стоя поодаль.

But all His acquaintances, and the women who followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.

Был среди членов совета некто по имени Иосиф, человек добрый и праведный,

Now behold, there was a man named Joseph, a council member, a good and just man.

который не был согласен с их решением и деянием. Он происходил из иудейского города Ариматея и ждал наступления Царства Божьего.

He had not consented to their decision and deed. He was from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who[o] himself was also waiting for the kingdom of God.

Придя к Пилату и упросив отдать тело Иисуса,

This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.

он снял Его, спеленал льняным полотном и положил в скальную гробницу, ещё ни разу не использованную для погребения.

Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock, where no one had ever lain before.

Это был день Приготовлений, и совсем немного оставалось до начала субботы.

That day was the Preparation, and the Sabbath drew near.

Проследив за Иосифом, женщины, которые пришли из Галилеи вместе с Иисусом, запомнили, в какой гробнице Он был похоронен.

And the women who had come with Him from Galilee followed after, and they observed the tomb and how His body was laid.

Возвратясь, они приготовили благовонное миро, а в субботу, как того требует заповедь, отдыхали.

Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.
