Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, that He said to His disciples,

Помолчав, Иисус сказал ученикам:

“You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”

«Через два дня, как вы знаете, Пасха. Сын человеческий будет предан и распят на кресте».

Then the chief priests, [a]the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

Как раз в ту пору во дворце архиерея Кайафы собрались первосвященники и старейшины

and plotted to take Jesus by [b]trickery and kill Him.

И договорились между собой устроить так, чтобы Иисуса взять и убить.

But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people.”

Но решили: «Только лучше не в праздник, а то как бы не поднялся народ».

And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper,

Иисус был в гостях у Симона прокаженного в Вифании.

a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table.

Подошла женщина с алебастровым кувшином драгоценного миро и возлила Ему, возлежащему, на голову.

But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?

Ученики, наблюдавшие за этим, остались недовольны. Они говорили: «К чему такое расточительство?

For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor.”

За миро можно было выручить хорошие деньги и раздать нищим».

But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me.

Видя их насквозь, Иисус сказал: «Зачем вы огорчаете женщину? Она сделала для Меня доброе дело.

For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always.

Нищие будут у вас всегда, а Я с вами не всегда.

For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial.

Возливая миро на Мое тело, она готовит Меня к погребению.

Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.”

Поверьте Мне: где бы ни провозглашалось на земле евангелие, будет упомянуто в память о ней и это миро».

Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests

Один из Двенадцати, по имени Иуда Искариот, пошел к первосвященникам

and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.

И сказал: «Что вы дадите мне за Иисуса?». Они положили дать ему тридцать сребреников.

So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.

С того дня он стал ждать удобного случая, чтобы выдать Иисуса.

Now on the first day of the Feast of the Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?”

В первый день Опресноков ученики подходят к Иисусу и говорят: «Где велишь нам приготовить Тебе есть пасху?».

And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.” ’ ”

Он сказал: «Пойдите к нашему человеку в городе и скажите ему: Учитель говорит: “Близок Мой час. У тебя совершу Пасху с Моими учениками”».

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover.

Ученики сделали, как велел Иисус, и приготовили пасху.

When evening had come, He sat down with the twelve.

Вечером Он со Своими Двенадцатью приступил к пасхе.

Now as they were eating, He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.”

И когда они ели, Иисус сказал: «Поверьте Мне, один из вас предаст Меня».

And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, “Lord, is it I?”

Подавленные, они стали один за другим спрашивать: «Не я ли, Господи?».

He answered and said, “He who dipped his hand with Me in the dish will betray Me.

Иисус сказал: «Кто обмакнул со Мной в солило — этот предаст.

The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”

Сын человеческий уйдет, так написано. Но горе человеку, который предаст Сына человеческого! Лучше было бы ему не родиться».

Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, “Rabbi, is it I?” He said to him, “You have said it.”

Иуда, решивший Его предать, спрашивает: «Не я ли, Рабби?». Иисус говорит ему: «Ты сам сказал».

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, [c]blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”

Все ели. Иисус взял хлеб и благословил, разломил и дал ученикам. И сказал: «Берите, вкушайте. Это — Мое Тело».

Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.

И взял чашу, произнес благодарение и чашу подал. И сказал: «Отведайте каждый.

For this is My blood of the [d]new covenant, which is shed for many for the [e]remission of sins.

Это — Моя Кровь, кровь договора. Она за всех проливается с отпущением грехов.

But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”

Говорю вам: не пить Мне больше с виноградной лозы до того дня, когда с нового урожая буду пить вместе с вами в Царстве Моего Отца».

And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Спели гимн и поднялись на Масличную гору.

Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be [f]made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

Там Иисус говорит им: «Этой ночью вы все Меня бросите, как написано: “Убью пастуха — и разбежится овечье стадо.”

But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.”

Воскресну и встречу вас в Галилее».

Peter answered and said to Him, “Even if all are [g]made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.”

Петр сказал: «Если даже все Тебя бросят, я ни за что не брошу».

Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”

Иисус говорит ему: «Поверь Мне: прежде чем этой ночью пропоет петух, трижды отречешься от Меня».

Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And so said all the disciples.

Петр возразил: «Если даже придется мне с Тобой умереть, не отрекусь от Тебя!». Так говорили и все другие ученики.

Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go and pray over there.”

Иисус приводит их в урочище Гефсиманию и говорит: «Посидите здесь. Я помолюсь в стороне».

And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed.

И берет с Собой Петра и обоих сыновей Зеведеевых. Холод и тоска охватили Иисуса,

Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”

И Он сказал: «Душа Моя в смертных муках. Побудьте со Мной. Не спите».

He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

Он прошел еще немного вперед, и там пал лицом в землю и начал молиться. Иисус говорил: «Отче Мой! Если возможно, пусть минует Меня эта чаша... Нет, лучше не как Я хочу, а как Ты».

Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?

Потом возвращается к ученикам и видит, что они спят, и говорит Петру: «И одного часа вы не в силах побыть со Мной, не задремав!

Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Не спите и молитесь, чтобы на все находить в себе силу. Дух силен, а плоть слаба».

Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, “O My Father, [h]if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.”

И во второй раз Иисус ушел и опять молился. Он говорил: «Отче Мой! Если эта чаша не может Меня миновать, чтобы Мне не пить ее, — пусть будет Твоя воля!».

And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.

Опять возвращается и видит, что ученики спят: веки у них смежились сами собой.

So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

Он опять их оставил, ушел и в третий раз опять все повторил в новой молитве.

Then He came to His disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour [i]is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Наконец подходит к ученикам и говорит: «Вы все еще спите-почиваете? Настал час. Сына человеческого отдают в руки грешников.

Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.”

Вставайте, идемте! Уже здесь Мой предатель».

And while He was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and elders of the people.

Он еще не договорил, как приходит Иуда, один из Его Двенадцати, и с ним большая толпа с мечом и дрекольем — люди от первосвященников и старейшин.

Now His betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him.”

Предатель условился с ними о знаке. Он сказал им: «Кого поцелую, Тот и есть: берите Его».

Immediately he went up to Jesus and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.

И сразу подходит к Иисусу и говорит: «Здравствуй, Рабби!». И поцеловал Его.

But Jesus said to him, “Friend, why have you come?” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him.

Иисус говорит ему: «Приятель! Вот как ты пришел!». И тут они все надвинулись на Иисуса, схватили Его и взяли под стражу.

And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

Один из тех, кто был с Иисусом, выхватил меч, ударил и отсек ухо рабу архиерея.

But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will [j]perish by the sword.

Иисус говорит ему: «Верни меч на место. Поднявшие меч от меча и погибнут.

Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?

Или ты думаешь, что Я не могу попросить у Отца двенадцать, а то и больше, легионов ангелов?

How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?”

Но тогда не будет того, что должно быть по Писанию. А разве это возможно?».

In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me.

В этот час Иисус сказал, обращаясь к толпе: «Как на разбойника вышли вы с мечом и дрекольем ловить Меня. Целыми днями Я сидел и учил народ в Храме, и вы Меня не трогали.

But all this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.

Нет, только так своим чередом исполняются Писания пророков». Ученики бросили Его, разбежались.

And those who had laid hold of Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

А те, кто схватил Иисуса, отвели Его к архиерею Кайафе — там уже собрались книжники и старейшины.

But Peter followed Him at a distance to the high priest’s courtyard. And he went in and sat with the servants to see the end.

Петр на расстоянии шел за Иисусом до двора архиерея и во дворе подсел к стражникам. Он не мог уйти, не узнав, чем все закончится.

Now the chief priests, [k]the elders, and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death,

Первосвященники и весь синедрион занялись поисками улик на Иисуса, чтобы осудить Его на смерть,

[l]but found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two [m]false witnesses came forward

И не находили. Было много лжесвидетелей, но ничего не нашлось. Наконец подошли еще двое

and said, “This fellow said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.’ ”

И говорят: «Он сказал: “Могу разрушить Божий Храм и в три дня поставить его заново”».

And the high priest arose and said to Him, “Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?”

Архиерей вскочил и говорит Иисусу: «Тебе нечего сказать или как? Что такое они показывают против Тебя?».

But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, “I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!”

Иисус молчал. И архиерей говорит Ему: «Заклинаю Тебя Богом Живым, скажи нам: Ты Кто? Христос? Божий Сын?».

Jesus said to him, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Иисус ответил: «Это ты сказал. Я скажу больше. Теперь сами увидите: Сын человеческий сидит по правую руку Крепкого. Идет по облакам небесным».

Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy!

Архиерей разодрал на себе одежды и сказал: «Вот оно, кощунство! Каких свидетелей мы еще ждем? Кощунство вы слышали.

What do you think?” They answered and said, “He is deserving of death.”

Что скажете?». Они отвечали: «Смерть Ему!».

Then they spat in His face and beat Him; and others struck Him with [n]the palms of their hands,

И стали плевать Иисусу в лицо и бить Его. Старались ударить кулаком

saying, “Prophesy to us, Christ! Who is the one who struck You?”

И говорили: «Скажи, пророк, кто ударил Тебя! Скажи, Христос!».

Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came to him, saying, “You also were with Jesus of Galilee.”

Петр сидел снаружи во дворе. Подошла служанка и говорит ему: «Ты тоже был с Иисусом Галилеянином».

But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you are saying.”

Кругом были люди, и Петр не признался, сказал: «Не знаю, о чем ты».

And when he had gone out to the gateway, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, “This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”

Уже в воротах его увидела другая, повернулась к людям и говорит: «Этот был с Иисусом Назарянином».

But again he denied with an oath, “I do not know the Man!”

Петр опять отрекся, побожился: «Такого человека я не знаю».

And a little later those who stood by came up and said to Peter, “Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays you.”

Но вслед за ней и те люди, что стояли там же, говорят Петру: «Нет, ты точно из тех. И говор такой же».

Then he began to [o]curse and [p]swear, saying, “I do not know the Man!” Immediately a rooster crowed.

Тогда он начал клясться и божиться: «Этого человека я не знаю». Пропел петух.

And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So he went out and wept bitterly.

И Петр вспомнил слова, сказанные ему Иисусом: «Прежде чем пропоет петух, ты трижды отречешься от Меня». Петр вышел со двора и от отчаяния заплакал.
